Ona Erma (Toots) Tinsley, 84, of Lamesa, TX, died on Friday, February 26, 1999 at home. She was born on December 24, 1914 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She married Roy Tinsley, Jr. on July 5, 1947 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and moved to Lamesa, TX in that same year. She was an active member of community and church and was a member of First Methodist for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 29, 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Carter Tinsley Schildknecht of Lamesa, TX and Kaki Tinsley Shipley of Dallas, TX; one son, Edward Roy Tinsley III of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Black, officiating.
