Davis -- Wendell E. Davis, age 92, a long time employee of Sandia Corporation and a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, passed away on 3-10-00. He is survived by two sons, O.J. Davis and Allen Davis and wife, Ruth; two sisters, Inez Wallace and husband Leonard, and June Miller; four grandchildren, Cindy Houghton and husband, Richard, Buffy Bruskas and husband, Bill, Chris Davis and wife, Christine, and Lori Davis; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Stephanie and Mallory Bruskas, and Alexandria and Andrew Houghton. A private memorial service was held on Sunday, March 12. Cremation arrangements were provided by Sunrise Society, 891-8200

Dickerson -- Julius Paul (Tiny) Dickerson, 71, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died Thursday, March 9, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Sue Ralston and husband, Thomas of Albuquerque; step-son, James Milton Higgins of California; grandchildren, Jeannette Kay Stanich and husband, Zion and Ginger Louise Brown, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Terry Isaac Brown, Thomas Isaiah Brown, Tyler Israel Brown, Ralston Keith Stanich, all of Albuquerque; and sister-in-law, Leona Dickerson of Forney, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Elaine Dickerson, son, Joseph Michael Dickerson; and daughter, Linda Kae Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson was a longtime member of Central Assembly of God and he was most recently attending Bethel Heritage Church. He formerly managed the Diamond Shamrock service station at Louisiana and Trumbull and later owned and operated Tiny's Automotive. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Monday, March 13, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at Bethel Heritage Church, 7800 Holbrook NE, with Glen Johnston, Walter Kaye and Reggie Greene officiating. Ellis -- Ada Ellis, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Kansas, died March 10, 2000 in her home. She is survived by her niece, Geri E. Davidson and her great-niece, Linda Latimer. A celebration of Ada's life will be held March 22, 2000 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in her home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to any Animal Humane Association. Franchini -- Oreste J."Rusty" Franchini, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, March 10, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Peckinpaugh and husband, Dennis; granddaughter, Michele Peckinpaugh and Anthony Velarde, all of Albuquerque; grandson, David Peckinpaugh and wife, Maureen Tansey of St. Johnsbury, VT; sister, Jeanette Devoti and husband, Frank; sister-in-law, Mickey Franchini, all of Albuquerque and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Mr. Franchini was preceded in death 14 days prior by his wife, Rose D. Franchini; and brothers, Frank Franchini and Remo Franchini; and parents, Ovidio and Argia Franchini. He was formerly a co-owner of Franchini Brothers Delicatessen and Catering at Lomas and University, which was treasured by family, friends and patrons for many decades. Mr. Franchini was a WWII Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was in the European Theatre and was a Sgt. Major in a Combat Engineer Battalion. Mr. Franchini was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society; Knights of Columbus; Elks Lodge; UNM alumni where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity; and ItalAmer Men's Club. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be David Devoti, Greg Franchini, Keith Franchini, Kevin Franchini, Donald Devoti, Danny Franchini, John Franchini and Tom Franchini. Gabbard -- Myrtle Irene Gabbard, widow of James C. Gabbard Sr., died in her home on March 9, 2000. She is survived by her son, James C. Gabbard Jr.; and daughters, Sheryl L. Brewer and Laurence (Laurie) Coates; brother, Earl Thomas of Washington, DC; sister, Alene Martinez of Anadarko, OK; grandchildren, Edward (Eddie) Brewer IV, Rachel Mirelse; and her most loved and cherished great-grandchildren, Mekala Mirelse and Jaiden Isiah Brewer. Mrs. Gabbard, originally from Anadarko, OK, and her late husband, both federal careerist made Albuquerque their home. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Gabbard, a devout Christian, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha NE, at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2000. James Gabbard, Eddie Brewer, Bruce Parker, Albert Redd, Dewayne Mariano, Benjamin Caswell will serve as pallbearers. She will be interred beside her husband in Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, following the services. Green -- Pearl T. Green, 87, an Albuquerque resident since 1975, died Friday, March 10, 2000. Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 63 years, Homer D. Green of Albuquerque; son, Homer D. Green, Jr. of Albuquerque; daughter, Marjorie E. Lynch and husband, Brendan of Calverton, MD; grandchildren, Kelly Davenport and husband, Jeff, of Baltimore, MD, Kimberly Scull and husband, Brian of Silver Spring, MD, Daniel P. Lynch of Columbia, MD, Sean T. Lynch and wife, Jennifer Lavan of Bethesda, MD and Erin C. Taylor and husband, Brice of Germantown, MD; great-grandchildren, Nathan Treichel, Brendan Davenport, Daniel Scull, Amanda Scull, Kyle Taylor and Paige Taylor; brother, Ben Taylor of Phoenix, AZ. Mrs. Green was a graduate of Haskell College in Lawrence, KS. She began her career with the US Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Window Rock, AZ, subsequently retiring from the BIA in 1975 in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Desert Rose Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and of the Daughters of the Nile in Albuquerque and of the Tall Cedar-Cedarettes in Hyattsville, MD. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2000 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating. Interment will take place in Hiawatha Cemetery in Hiawatha, Kansas. Hanrahan -- In loving memory of Walter James Hanrahan, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976. Loving husband of Arlene; beloved father to Kerry Stabe and husband, Reed, John Hanrahan, Kimberley Shelby and husband, Michael, Robert Hanrahan and wife, Amy, Kelley Schneberger and husband, Paul; beloved grandfather to Gary, Shay, Zachary, Chelsey, Katherine, Ryan and Steven; and brother to Michael Hanrahan and wife, Esther. Walter served in the Army and Air force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Office. Martinez -- Mela Martinez, age 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died on Saturday, March 11, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jose A.C. Martinez; sons, Crescencio Martinez and wife, Lydia; Rueben Martinez and wife, Maggie of Albuquerque; Flavio Martinez and wife, Delores of Rush City, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Joseph A. Duran of Albuquerque. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Martinez was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Navarro -- Emilia V. Navarro, a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, died Friday, March 10, 2000, on her 97th birthday. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and many close friends who will greatly miss her love and generosity. Emilia was preceded in death by her husband, J.J. Navarro in 1986. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 13, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Ascension, with Father Edmund Savilla as Celebrant.
