Martinez -- Mela Martinez, age 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died on Saturday, March 11, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jose A.C. Martinez; sons, Crescencio Martinez and wife, Lydia; Rueben Martinez and wife, Maggie of Albuquerque; Flavio Martinez and wife, Delores of Rush City, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Joseph A. Duran of Albuquerque. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Martinez was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Monday, March 13, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary to be recited at French Mortuary Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. N.E. at 7:00 p.m. with Sophia Gurule reciting. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at 11:30 a.m., Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee, N.E. with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. N.E.
