Emilia V. Navarro, a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, died Friday, March 10, 2000, on her 97th birthday. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and many close friends who will greatly miss her love and generosity. Emilia was preceded in death by her husband, J.J. Navarro in 1986. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 13, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Ascension, with Father Edmund Savilla as Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Frank Tabor, Eddie Servan, Dr. Philip Jackson Jr., Danny Cuaron and Mark Cuaron. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
