Willmore -- Arthur Edward Willmore, 85, a former resident of Chicago, IL and a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Saturday, January 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Pat Willmore of Albuquerque; nephew, Donald Geis and wife, Nancy of Norridge, IL; great nephews, Rev. William Geis and wife, Sandi of Lone Wolf, OK, Donald Geis, Jr. and wife, Mary of O¯Fallon, IL; great niece, Sandra Smigla and husband, Greg of Hoffman Estate. IL; great-great-nieces and nephews, Erica and Monica Geis of Lone Wolf, OK, Noah Geis of O¯Fallon, IL, and Erin, Andrew, Barbra Smigla of Hoffman Estates, IL; cousins, Robert Willmore of South San Francisco, CA and Jim Willmore and wife, Eileen of Westerville, OH; and The Patton Family. Mr. Willmore was a graduate of Schurz High School, Class of 1933 in Chicago, IL and University of Illinois, Class of 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was business manager and Chairman of the Board of Hope Christian School, owner operator of the Willmore Corp, an appliance service center. Mr. Willmore was a member of Faith Chapel and Gideon's International. He was a Sunday School superintendent for 42 years and a member of the Board of Directors of Faith Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2001, 2:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Mable Dawe, Rev. Tom Salmon, and Director of Hope Schools, Mr. Wayne Ehlert officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Don Clark, Don Houghton, Larry King, David Allen, Bob Juul, and William Culbertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill King, Wayne Ehlert, Dave Eggers, Shawkeet Hindi, Harry Wright and R. Thomas Dawe. Adams -- Roy W. Adams, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died at his residence on Friday, January 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie W. Adams; five children; sons, Jim R. Adams, John R. Adams, and Bill W. Adams; daughters, Betty Town Stroud and Judy Gius Travis, all of Albuquerque; sister, Mable Galusha of Seattle, WA; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Roy was a member of IBEW, Local 611, for 50 years. Dad, grandpa, we love you and will miss you. Aragon -- Edward Thomas, of West Vancouver, BC, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on January 18, 2001, at the age of 66. Edward was a proud member of the Squamish Nation. He will be sadly missed by his loving family; other relatives; and many dear friends. Prayers were offered on Sunday, January 21, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at 240 Whonoak Rd. Britton -- Marilyn L. Britton, 51, a resident of Albuquerque for 24 years, died Sunday, January 21, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Glenn H. Britton of Albuquerque; son, David Britton and wife, Melissa of Long Island, NY; parents, Donald and C. LaClede Rice of Albuquerque; brothers, Vaughn E. Rice and wife, Gwen of Round Lake Beach, IL and Byron D. Rice and wife, Louise of Palmdale, CA; mother-in-law, Grayce Britton of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. Brown -- Dorothy V. Brown, 94, a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years, passed away quietly on Friday, January 19, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Brown of Albuquerque; her son, David H. Brown and wife, Doris K. of Kennewick, WA; grandsons, Robert D. Brown and wife, Lisa, Donald L. Brown and wife, Karen, Michael Scott Brown and wife, Jill; seven great-grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Mary Gladys Graham of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, H.R. Brown. Dorothy was a member of St. Stevens Methodist Church and delivered meals for Meals On Wheels. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at La Vida Llena¯s Carter Hall, 10501 La Grima de Oro NE. Gavin -- Col. (Ret.) Edward Morris Gavin, 92, died peacefully at his home in Santa Fe on January 19, 2001 after a long illness. His immediate family was in attendance. Col. Gavin was from Fort Gaines, GA. He graduated from Auburn University in 1931 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1931 as a member of the first class of cadets at Randolph Field, received his wings at Kelly Field, TX, and served as an officer in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1956. He was a graduate of the United States Air Force Institute of Technology and an instructor at the Air Force Command and Staff School, Air War College and Armed Forces Industrial College. During the Second World War, Col. Gavin commanded the 38th Bomber Group and saw service in England, North Africa, Alaska and the Pacific. He was twice assigned to the flight test engineering division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, flying and testing all types of experimental aircraft. During one of these assignments, he invented and patented a new type of valve for aircraft engines. Among his many honors and awards were the Silver Star, the Air Medal, the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster and various citations for meritorious duty. When the Air Force Thunderbirds visited New Mexico, he was one of four New Mexicans chosen to be honored for outstanding military service in a ceremony preceding their performance. He married Mary Blanche Bauer in 1936 in Texas. Col. Gavin retired in 1956 from Kirtland Air Force Base where he had served as a liaison officer with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. While he lived in Albuquerque, he was a member of the All Faiths Receiving Home Board and was active in the Episcopal Church. After retirement, the Gavins lived on their ranch near Pecos, where they sponsored some of the state's first Hunter Trials and Combined Training Events. After they moved to Santa Fe, Col. Gavin became instrumental in founding the state's New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. After its establishment, he served for many years on its foundation board. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Anne Gavin Cruikshanks of San Luis Obispo, CA; a son, William M.B. Gavin and his wife, Renee Wyman Gavin of Bozeman, MT; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He will always be remembered for his love of flying, his devotion to duty and his family, his rock solid integrity, his ease with his fellows, his wit, and his ability to"fix anything". He was always, in the highest sense, an officer and a gentleman. A Funeral for family only will take place at the National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held in March. Henfling -- Mildred Nixon Henfling, my mother and best friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2001. A mother is a wondrous gift, God gives us from above To fill our days with warmth and joy, To fill our lives with love. Amanda BradleyMildred was born in Roswell, NM., on October 9, 1919, and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1936. She is survived by her daughter, Janice "Jan"¯ Kay Henfling of Albuquerque, NM. (Formerly of Denver, CO.); her brother-in-law, Henry Barsanti of Albuquerque, NM.; nephews, Ron Barsanti of Pagosa Springs, CO., Tom Barsanti of Chicago, IL., Bob Fleming, and Bill Austin both of Albuquerque, NM. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, George¯Bud¯ W. Henfling, Retired Major, U.S. Army, 200th Calvary, and sisters, Mary Pat Barsanti, Cherry Dennis, Beulah Fleming, and Besse Nixon. On Thursday, January 25, 2001 a viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood NE., with Pastor Peter Schoew of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Hunick -- Rosann Hunick a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM died on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the age of 43. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie Hunick and fiance, Robert Thompson; and a son, Eric Justo Hunick and fiance, Crystal Jacquez; her father, Transito Montoya and wife, Dolly; three brothers, Mike Montoya and wife, Hazel, David Valasquez and wife, Melannie and Joe Zamora; a very close and special person that she loved very much, her grandmother, Lena Casias; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends that will miss her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Henry Justo Hunick, daughter, Melinda Lynn Hunick, mother, Virginia Velasquez and grandfather, Ted Casias. Rosann gave a great deal of time to nursing homes and was very concerned about the elderly at these homes. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2001 viewing will start at 5:00 p.m. with the Service at 7:00 p.m. at San Ignacio Parish, 1300 Walter NE, Albuquerque, NM. The Mass will be officiated by John Casias on Thursday, January 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary. Isenberg -- Donald E. Isenberg, age 70, a resident of Lafayette, IN died Saturday, January 13, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Isenberg is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucretia Isenberg; one daughter, LaLa Proffit; son-in-law, Charles"Chuck" Proffit of Lafayette; one sister, Margorie Rose of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Isenberg attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed at Purdue University in their Physical Plant for 22 years. He then worked in the Purdue Mail Department for eight years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching all Purdue Boilermaker sports, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and was an avid bowler. Mr. Isenberg will be given a Military Funeral, Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in Lafayette, and will be interred at Memorial Gardens, Veterans Section, West Lafayette, IN. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed.

Marellanes -- Nora "Granny" Arellanes passed away January 18, 2001 at her home in McIntosh, NM. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loved everybody. She is survived by Bentura Segura; six sons, Bonifacio Lovato, Freddie Gonzales, Arthur Mahboub, Johnny Arellanes, Mike Segura, and Eric Segura; five daughters, Diana Hernandez, Lorraine Ruelas, Pat Lovato, Jessie Roybal, and Frances Arellanes; 36 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2001, with burial following at Moriarty City Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
