Blackmon -- Edna R. Blackmon, age 87, passed away on January 22, 2001. She was born on May 3, 1913 in Hall Summit, LA, the youngest of 10 children born to the late James and Fannie (McDowell) Waters. She is survived by daughter Frances Padilla and her husband, Jack, of Granbury, TX; three sons, Sam Coleman and his wife, Linda, of Bonita Springs, FL, Hugh Coleman and his wife, Cecilia, of Los Lunas, NM, Tommy Coleman and his wife, Tami, also of Los Lunas, ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Lee Harper, of Coushatta, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Fitzgerald Chapel, Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Boergadine -- Mary Yvonne Boergadine died on January 23, 2000 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her children, Shelley Perez and husband, Jose, Brad Boergadine, Tracy Boergadine and husband, Tomas Santillan, Susan Wabik, Tina McGowan and husband, Frank, Kyle Boergadine and wife, Terri and Brent Boergadine and wife, Maryann, all of Albuquerque; brother, Bruce Weaver and wife, Barbara of Columbia, MO; and grandchildren, Shenina, Leigha and Naomi Seonia, Joseph Perez, Jennifer Wabik, Shelby and Unborn Santillan, Myranda McGowan, Amber, Clinton, Michael and Lyndell Boergadine; plus many others she called her own. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Franklin, Joshua, Ashleigh, Anna Lynn and Allan Seonia, Anthony"Tony" Montoya III, Destiny Mueller Jinzo, and Diego Wabik Marquez; and numerous friends and other family members. Borland -- Harry C. Borland, 79, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away at home on January 21, 2001. He was born on February 22, 1921 in W. Union, Iowa, the son of the late John and Bertha (Johnson) Borland. He was a machinist and a supervisor at General Electric, and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Lois K., and his son, Peter J. Borland. He is survived by three daughters, Noreen Borland and Nancy Borland, both of Los Lunas, and Nadine L. Bengel, of Barstow, CA; his loving companion, Lois G. Butler, of Bosque Farms; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Brown -- Dorothy V. Brown, 94, a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years, passed away quietly on Friday, January 19, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Brown of Albuquerque; her son, David H. Brown and wife, Doris K. of Kennewick, WA; grandsons, Robert D. Brown and wife, Lisa, Donald L. Brown and wife, Karen, Michael Scott Brown and wife, Jill; seven great-grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Mary Gladys Graham of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, H.R. Brown. Dorothy was a member of St. Stevens Methodist Church and delivered meals for Meals On Wheels. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at La Vida Llena¯s Carter Hall, 10501 La Grima de Oro NE. Calvillo -- Mr. Robert J. Calvillo Sr., a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday at the age of 39. Mr. Calvillo served in the United States Army. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Calvillo; son, Robert Calvillo Jr. of Albuquerque; daughter, Katherine Calvillo, of Arizona; brother, Michael Calvillo and wife, Alice of Arizona; sisters, Linda Cuellar of Albuquerque, and Kathy Trujillo and husband, Cipriano of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Calvillo will be held on Thursday at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Campos -- Judge Santiago E. Campos, of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 20, 2001 following a courageous battle with cancer. Judge Campos was born December 25, 1926 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was educated at Central College, Fayette, Missouri, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico in 1953, where he graduated first in his law school class. He was admitted to practice in New Mexico in 1953 and served as Assistant and First Assistant Attorney General for the state of New Mexico from 1954 to 1957. Following an association with the law firms of Bigbee and Stephenson, and Stanley, Kegel and Campos, he was elected District Judge of the First Judicial District of New Mexico, where he served from 1971 to 1978. Judge Campos was appointed a United States District Judge by President Jimmy Carter on July 12, 1978, and served as Chief Judge from 1987 to 1989, when he assumed senior status. He was an honorary member of the Order of the Coif. He received the Distinguished Judicial Service Award of the State Bar of New Mexico in 1993. The University of New Mexico honored him with a Distinguished Achievement Award in 1993. Judge Campos is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Patsy Campos: daughters, Theresa Campos, Rebecca Campos-Reaves and husband, Steve Reaves, Christina Douglas and husband, Drexel Douglas, and Miquela Campos. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Ida Jo Campos of Santa Rosa, NM; as well as four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judge Campos loved to travel and play golf. He was a member of the Santa Fe Country Club for many years and enjoyed playing golf with the Northern New Mexico New Mexico Seniors Golf Association. He will be remembered for his generosity, joy of life, wisdom, and sense of humor. His family expresses their deepest gratitude to the health care and hospice providers who cared for him in Santa Fe and in Houston, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Chavez -- Mr. Tomas S. Chavez Jr. died Monday in Albuquerque at the age of 84. He was born on June 30, 1916 in Albuquerque. Mr. Chavez is preceded in death by his wife, Maria J. Chavez and his parents, Antonita and Tomas Chavez Sr. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. Mr. Chavez was also a member of the American Legion Post 72. He retired from Kirtland Air Force Base as a heavy equipment operator. He was a man with a very big heart and a smile that is going to be missed. He is going to be greatly missed by everybody who knew him and loved him. We love you Grandpa. Mr. Chavez is survived by his daughter, Tommie Mancha and husband, Juan; grandchildren, Angela Mancha, and Martin Mancha and wife, Lynette; two great-grandchildren, Aliyah and Melissa Mancha; brother, Trinidad Chavez and wife, Mela; sisters, Gertrudes Aragon and husband, Tony, and Emilia Garcia; brother-in-law, Alcario Jaramillo; sisters-in-law, Agripina Mares and Goya Espinosa; and many nieces and nephews. Gerrard -- Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Merlene U. Gerrard, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2001. Born in Sunnyside, Utah on December 22, 1919 to John W. and Edna Lillie Arrowsmith Ungricht, Merlene is survived by children, Ralene Bills and husband, Donald O. of Littleton, CO, Robin Bennett and husband, David K. of San Jose, CA, Skip Gerrard of Temple, TX and Cory Gerrard and wife, Brigit of Layton, UT; two brothers, Sam Ungricht and wife, Virginia of Apache Junction, AZ and Dr. Herbert Ungricht and wife, Barbara of Salt Lake City, UT; and 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren who affectionately called her"Mer". Merlene was a school teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools for over 20 years. She was very active in the LDS Church and worked in the LDS Albuquerque Temple. She was an Alpha Chi Omega and remained active with the sorority throughout her life. Merlene's life was centered around her family, church, friends and"chocolate". Her eternal companion of 57 years, Ralph M. Gerrard preceded her in death on April 3, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Merlene Bills on March 15, 1999. Her smile, laughter, generosity and love will be truly missed. In her life she was a shining role model to her friends. Her wonderful example will live on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Gonzales, son Benny and Ruth Gonzales; four sisters, Alejandra Gonzales, Helen Maestas, Fita Rivera, and Maria Vigil; one brother, Jesus Gallegos; seven grandchildren Ronald Gonzales and FiancČe Beverly Diaz, Charlie and Christina Gonzales, Ludean Perkins, Lawrence and Paula Gonzales, Julie and Sam Delgado, Marie Lucero, and Sylvia Trujillo; 16 great-grandchildren, Marvin Gurule, Mishay Gonzales, Natalie Gonzales, Yolonda and Amber Perkins, Matthew and Chlesea Gonzales, Jessica and Anthony Gonzales, Michael, Peter, Stephen and Joseph Lucero, Raymond, Richard and Valerie Trujillo; two great-great grandchildren, Dominque and Jasmine Gurule; and many nieces and nephews. Hunick -- Rosann Hunick, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM died on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the age of 43. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie Hunick and fiance, Robert Thompson; and a son, Eric Justo Hunick and fiance, Crystal Jacquez; her father, Transito Montoya and wife, Dolly; three brothers, Mike Montoya and wife, Hazel, David Valasquez and wife, Melannie and Joe Zamora; a very close and special person that she loved very much, her grandmother, Lena Casias; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends that will miss her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Henry Justo Hunick, daughter, Melinda Lynn Hunick, mother, Virginia Velasquez and grandfather, Ted Casias. Rosann gave a great deal of time to nursing homes and was very concerned about the elderly at these homes. Isenberg -- Donald E. Isenberg, age 70, a resident of Lafayette, IN died Saturday, January 13, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Isenberg is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucretia Isenberg; one daughter, LaLa Proffit; son-in-law, Charles"Chuck" Proffit of Lafayette; one sister, Margorie Rose of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Isenberg attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed at Purdue University in their Physical Plant for 22 years. He then worked in the Purdue Mail Department for eight years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching all Purdue Boilermaker sports, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and was an avid bowler. Mr. Isenberg will be given a Military Funeral, Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in Lafayette, and will be interred at Memorial Gardens, Veterans Section, West Lafayette, IN. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed.

Mook -- Jeanne Mook nee Cunningham, 71, of Redlands, CA., passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001, one week before her 72nd birthday on January 27th, after a long struggle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Walter Mook of Redlands, Ca.; daughter, Pamela Foley and husband, Michael of Simi Valley, Ca.; sons, Robert Mook and wife, Christie of Santa Monica, Ca., and Dr. Kenneth Mook, wife, Charisse; and three grandchildren of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by sisters, Arlene Vath of Albuquerque and Joanne White and husband, James of Corona, Ca.; brothers, Lee Cunningham and wife, Jimmie of Albuquerque and George Cunningham and wife, Evelyn of Sun Valley, Ca.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma Cunningham of Albuquerque. Jeanne was a former resident of Albuquerque and graduated from A.H.S. in 1947. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Wesley Club of Albuquerque. In Redlands, she was active in The Iris Society, Garden Club, D.A.R. and Humane Association. Nero -- Clement M. Nero, 59, born April 1, 1941 in Guyana, South American, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2001 along with his dog Gypsy. Norris -- Flora Emily McFadden Norris, of Rio Rancho, went to her Father in Heaven on Monday, January 22, 2001. Flora was born January 30, 1910 in Mt. Sylvan, Texas, she was one of eight brothers and sisters. She married Milton Jack Norris and raised her family in various places in New Mexico, finally settling in Peralta. Flora was a long time member of Los Lunas First Baptist Church before moving to Rio Rancho in 1993 with her daughter, Mary, where they joined Celebration Baptist Church. Flora was predeceased by her daughter, Jacquelyn Uphoff in 1979, her husband, Milton Jack Norris in 1981 and granddaughter, Carol Ann Jackson in 1998. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and is survived by her son, Mac Norris and wife, Mickie of Clovis; her daughter, Mary Graham of Rio Rancho; sister, Dorothy Pitcher of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The Visitation will be at the Celebration Baptist Church, 5620 Laredo Rd. NW, Rio Rancho from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001. Ortega -- Espiridion (Speedy) Leodoro Ortega, 87, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away Sunday, January 21, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sotera on May 5, 2000. A life long resident of Albuquerque, Mr. Ortega moved from Montoya, NM. he graduated from Tucumcari High School, and then proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. In 1950, he moved his family to Albuquerque where he was employed by the US Post Office until his retirement in 1970. He is survived by his children, Rita Sergeant and husband, Jim VanBlyenburgh, Olivia Ortega and John Abrams of Albuquerque, Ralph Ortega and Mary Serna of Grants, NM, Barbara Arrambide and husband, Jesse Arrambide of El Paso, TX. Surviving sisters, are, Adelina Ortega and Ramona Gonzales of Albuquerque, Tere Martinez of Tucumcari, NM; brothers, Ernesto Ortega of Albuquerque, Tony Ortega of Tucumcari, NM; 13 grandchildren, Gabriel and Rick Blea, Russell Milligan, Tammy LaFrance, Kimberly Summers, Sonia Jones, Vincent, Chris and Jennifer Ortega, Michele Serna, Jake, Julian and Carolyn Arrambide. 13 great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces and friends. Rosary Services will be conducted Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and a Mass Thursday at 10:00 a.m. both to be held at San Felipe Church. Pacey -- Elizabeth Wood Pacey, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, passed away on January 23, 2001 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia P. Miller, in 1985. She is survived by her son-in-law, Donald D. Miller and his wife, Valerie of Ruidoso, NM; her granddaughter, Janelle Miller Johnson and husband, Phillip of Albuquerque; her grandson, Jay-Alan Miller of Rome, Italy; and her great-grandchildren, Cynthia Jennice & Jay Kory Johnson both of Albuquerque. Elizabeth was born in Anthony, Kansas and was a graduate of Emporia Teacher's College. She taught several adult education business courses in the early years of TVI and was a retired Federal Civil Service employee. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in Carter Hall at La Vida Llena Retirement Center with Dr. Paul Debenport and The Reverend Carl Soderberg of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Sauter -- Ronald B. Sauter, 64, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 22, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Julie Sauter; daughters, Elizabeth McIntyre and husband, John, and Kimberly Sauter; son, Stephen Sauter and wife, JoAnn; granddaughters, Monica and Lindsay Ryan, Amber and Krysta Sanchez; grandsons, Sean and Nicholas McIntyre, all of Albuquerque; brother, Herbert Sauter and wife, June of Ocala, FL; sister-in-law, Lori Wells and husband, Ray of Las Vegas, NV and brother-in-law, Robert Hudson and wife, Andrea of Turlock, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Edna Sauter and infant son, Gregory Bernard Sauter. He served in the United States Air Force for over 26 years, which included a tour in Vietnam. Ron retired as Senior Enlisted Advisor of Kirtland AFB in 1982. He received many awards and citations during his career including the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. Following his Air Force career he was a Life Insurance Agent with New York Life Insurance Company. Ron was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and a very generous and loving man. Ron loved golf and especially loved traveling with his wife to Las Vegas and Florida. Schneider -- Josef F. Schneider, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years, died on January 19, 2001. He was born on October 27, 1919 in Munich, Germany, where he grew up and after serving in World War II, completed his education. In 1956, he emigrated to Alamogordo, NM to work at Holloman Air Force Base, and moved to Albuquerque in 1970 to work at Kirtland Airfoce Base. Josef is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Sabine and husband, David Boruff and their children, Max and Joshua, all of Albuquerque; son, Thomas Schneider and wife, Alexis, of Topenga, CA. Josef was an active member of his church and the community. He taught computer classes at Bear Canyon Senior Citizen's Center and played violin in the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra. After his retirement in 1989, he continued to be a member of and edit the newsletter for the Instrumentation Society of America.
