Adams -- Roy W. Adams, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died at his residence on Friday, January 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie W. Adams; five children; sons, Jim R. Adams, John R. Adams, and Bill W. Adams; daughters, Betty Town Stroud and Judy Gius Travis, all of Albuquerque; sister, Mable Galusha of Seattle, WA; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Aragon -- Edward Thomas, of West Vancouver, BC, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on January 18, 2001, at the age of 66. Edward was a proud member of the Squamish Nation. He will be sadly missed by his loving family; other relatives; and many dear friends. Prayers were offered on Sunday, January 21, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at 240 Whonoak Rd. Aragon -- Joseph R. Aragon, 35, beloved son, grandson and brother was called home to the Lord on January 20, 2001. Joseph was born on November 17, 1965. He is survived by his loving parents Joe and Annie Aragon; three sisters, Annette, Paulette and Joyce; one brother, Stanley Aragon and wife, Christine; His grandmothers, Eliza Ulibarri and Priscilla Aragon; uncles and aunts, Salomon Ulibarri, Robert Ulibarri, Harold Ulibarri and wife, Mary Ann, Beatrice Ulibarri, Nellie Follo and husband, Ralph, Viola Kowalchuk and husband, Tony, Tina Ulibarri, Elsie Ulibarri, Arlene Archuleta and Yvonne Sanchez; great-aunt, Ida Armenta and husband, Patricio; great-uncle, Sabro Garcia; nieces, Arleane and Marie Aragon; and nephews, Sebastian and Nathaniel Tafoya. Joseph was a member of the Catholic Church and he will be greatly missed by his loving family and those who knew and loved him. Brown -- Dorothy V. Brown, 94, a resident of Albuquerque for 14 years, passed away quietly on Friday, January 19, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Brown of Albuquerque; her son, David H. Brown and wife, Doris K. of Kennewick, WA; grandsons, Robert D. Brown and wife, Lisa, Donald L. Brown and wife, Karen, Michael Scott Brown and wife, Jill; seven great-grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Mary Gladys Graham of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, H.R. Brown. Dorothy was a member of St. Stevens Methodist Church and delivered meals for Meals On Wheels. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at La Vida Llenas Carter Hall, 10501 La Grima de Oro NE. Brunk -- Jerry Brunk, age 92, retired New Mexico State Police Captain, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 in Mobile, AL. Jerry Brunk was born December 28, 1908 in Chickasha, OK. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy as a Seabee. He served with the New Mexico State Police for 30 years and retired as Captain in 1968. For many years, Jerry Brunk served the people of New Mexico from the Tucumcari New Mexico State Police Office. Before moving to Alabama, he had been a resident of Conchas Dam, New Mexico. Surviving Jerry Brunk is his daughter, Clara Brunk of Mobile AL; three grandsons, Vasya and Vova Brunk of Mobile AL, and Jason Ehlers of Lincoln, NE; one granddaughter, Amy Ehlers of Boston, MA; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Janet and Robert Ehlers of Lincoln, NE; numerous sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Francis Brunk and by his son, Tom Brunk. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunn Memorial Chapel with his close friend, Norman Straton of Clovis, NM in charge of the Services. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Mears, Tom Wheeler, Jim McCasland, Mike Richardson, Jerry Woods, Dr. George E. Evetts, Charles Aragon, and retired NMSP Officer Jerry Williams. The body of Captain Jerry Brunk has been cremated.

Campos -- Judge Santiago E. Campos, of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 20, 2001 following a courageous battle with cancer. Judge Campos was born December 25, 1926 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was educated at Central College, Fayette, Missouri, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico in 1953, where he graduated first in his law school class. He was admitted to practice in New Mexico in 1953 and served as Assistant and First Assistant Attorney General for the state of New Mexico from 1954 to 1957. Following an association with the law firms of Bigbee and Stephenson, and Stanley, Kegel and Campos, he was elected District Judge of the First Judicial District of New Mexico, where he served from 1971 to 1978. Judge Campos was appointed a United States District Judge by President Jimmy Carter on July 12, 1978, and served as Chief Judge from 1987 to 1989, when he assumed senior status. He was an honorary member of the Order of the Coif. He received the Distinguished Judicial Service Award of the State Bar of New Mexico in 1993. The University of New Mexico honored him with a Distinguished Achievement Award in 1993. Judge Campos is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Patsy Campos: daughters, Theresa Campos, Rebecca Campos-Reaves and husband, Steve Reaves, Christina Douglas and husband, Drexel Douglas, and Miquela Campos. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Ida Jo Campos of Santa Rosa, NM; as well as four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judge Campos loved to travel and play golf. He was a member of the Santa Fe Country Club for many years and enjoyed playing golf with the Northern New Mexico New Mexico Seniors Golf Association. He will be remembered for his generosity, joy of life, wisdom, and sense of humor. His family expresses their deepest gratitude to the health care and hospice providers who cared for him in Santa Fe and in Houston, TX. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. today at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Gavin -- Col. (Ret.) Edward Morris Gavin, 92, died peacefully at his home in Santa Fe on January 19, 2001 after a long illness. His immediate family was in attendance. Col. Gavin was from Fort Gaines, GA. He graduated from Auburn University in 1931 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1931 as a member of the first class of cadets at Randolph Field, received his wings at Kelly Field, TX, and served as an officer in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 1956. He was a graduate of the United States Air Force Institute of Technology and an instructor at the Air Force Command and Staff School, Air War College and Armed Forces Industrial College. During the Second World War, Col. Gavin commanded the 38th Bomber Group and saw service in England, North Africa, Alaska and the Pacific. He was twice assigned to the flight test engineering division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, flying and testing all types of experimental aircraft. During one of these assignments, he invented and patented a new type of valve for aircraft engines. Among his many honors and awards were the Silver Star, the Air Medal, the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster and various citations for meritorious duty. When the Air Force Thunderbirds visited New Mexico, he was one of four New Mexicans chosen to be honored for outstanding military service in a ceremony preceding their performance. He married Mary Blanche Bauer in 1936 in Texas. Col. Gavin retired in 1956 from Kirtland Air Force Base where he had served as a liaison officer with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. While he lived in Albuquerque, he was a member of the All Faiths Receiving Home Board and was active in the Episcopal Church. After retirement, the Gavins lived on their ranch near Pecos, where they sponsored some of the state's first Hunter Trials and Combined Training Events. After they moved to Santa Fe, Col. Gavin became instrumental in founding the state's New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. After its establishment, he served for many years on its foundation board. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Anne Gavin Cruikshanks of San Luis Obispo, CA; a son, William M.B. Gavin and his wife, Renee Wyman Gavin of Bozeman, MT; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He will always be remembered for his love of flying, his devotion to duty and his family, his rock solid integrity, his ease with his fellows, his wit, and his ability to"fix anything". He was always, in the highest sense, an officer and a gentleman. A Funeral for family only will take place at the National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held in March. Gonzales -- Bessie Gonzales, 79, passed away on January 20, 2001. Bessie was born on December 6, 1921 and was a long time resident of New Mexico. Bessie was preceded in death by her father Juan Gallegos, mother Anita Gallegos, sister Alicia Sanchez, and brother Alcario Gallegos. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John J. Gonzales, son Benny and Ruth Gonzales; four sisters, Alejandra Gonzales, Helen Maestas, Fita Rivera, and Maria Vigil; one brother, Jesus Gallegos; seven grandchildren Ronald Gonzales and Fiance Beverly Diaz, Charlie and Christina Gonzales, Ludean Perkins, Lawrence and Paula Gonzales, Julie and Sam Delgado, Marie Lucero, and Sylvia Trujillo; 16 great-grandchildren, Marvin Gurule, Mishay Gonzales, Natalie Gonzales, Yolonda and Amber Perkins, Matthew and Chlesea Gonzales, Jessica and Anthony Gonzales, Michael, Peter, Stephen and Joseph Lucero, Raymond, Richard and Valerie Trujillo; two great-great grandchildren, Dominque and Jasmine Gurule; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel located on 8th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday at 12:00 noon at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Bessie will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery after the mass. Hunick -- Rosann Hunick a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM died on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the age of 43. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving daughter, Melanie Hunick and fiance, Robert Thompson; and a son, Eric Justo Hunick and fiance, Crystal Jacquez; her father, Transito Montoya and wife, Dolly; three brothers, Mike Montoya and wife, Hazel, David Valasquez and wife, Melannie and Joe Zamora; a very close and special person that she loved very much, her grandmother, Lena Casias; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends that will miss her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Henry Justo Hunick, daughter, Melinda Lynn Hunick, mother, Virginia Velasquez and grandfather, Ted Casias. Rosann gave a great deal of time to nursing homes and was very concerned about the elderly at these homes. Isenberg -- Donald E. Isenberg, age 70, a resident of Lafayette, IN died Saturday, January 13, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Isenberg is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucretia Isenberg; one daughter, LaLa Proffit; son-in-law, Charles"Chuck" Proffit of Lafayette; one sister, Margorie Rose of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Isenberg attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed at Purdue University in their Physical Plant for 22 years. He then worked in the Purdue Mail Department for eight years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching all Purdue Boilermaker sports, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and was an avid bowler. Mr. Isenberg will be given a Military Funeral, Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in Lafayette, and will be interred at Memorial Gardens, Veterans Section, West Lafayette, IN. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed.

Marellanes -- Nora "Granny" Arellanes passed away January 18, 2001 at her home in McIntosh, NM. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loved everybody. She is survived by Bentura Segura; six sons, Bonifacio Lovato, Freddie Gonzales, Arthur Mahboub, Johnny Arellanes, Mike Segura, and Eric Segura; five daughters, Diana Hernandez, Lorraine Ruelas, Pat Lovato, Jessie Roybal, and Frances Arellanes; 36 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Mook -- Jeanne Mook nee Cunningham, 71, of Redlands, CA., passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001, one week before her 72nd birthday on January 27th, after a long struggle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Walter Mook of Redlands, Ca.; daughter, Pamela Foley and husband, Michael of Simi Valley, Ca.; sons, Robert Mook and wife, Christie of Santa Monica, Ca., and Dr. Kenneth Mook, wife, Charisse; and three grandchildren of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by sisters, Arlene Vath of Albuquerque and Joanne White and husband, James of Corona, Ca.; brothers, Lee Cunningham and wife, Jimmie of Albuquerque and George Cunningham and wife, Evelyn of Sun Valley, Ca.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma Cunningham of Albuquerque. Jeanne was a former resident of Albuquerque and graduated from A.H.S. in 1947. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Wesley Club of Albuquerque. In Redlands, she was active in The Iris Society, Garden Club, D.A.R. and Humane Association. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 51 West Olive Ave., Redlands, CA. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Humane Association in Jeanne's name.

Norris -- Flora Emily McFadden Norris, of Rio Rancho, went to her Father in Heaven on Monday, January 22, 2001. Flora was born January 30, 1910 in Mt. Sylvan, Texas, she was one of eight brothers and sisters. She married Milton Jack Norris and raised her family in various places in New Mexico, finally settling in Peralta. Flora was a long time member of Los Lunas First Baptist Church before moving to Rio Rancho in 1993 with her daughter, Mary, where they joined Celebration Baptist Church. Flora was predeceased by her daughter, Jacquelyn Uphoff in 1979, her husband, Milton Jack Norris in 1981 and granddaughter, Carol Ann Jackson in 1998. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and is survived by her son, Mac Norris and wife, Mickie of Clovis; her daughter, Mary Graham of Rio Rancho; sister, Dorothy Pitcher of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The Visitation will be at the Celebration Baptist Church, 5620 Laredo Rd. NW, Rio Rancho from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2001. Services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David G. Brittain officiating. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Ortega -- Cecilia M. Ortega, 85, a long time resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away at her home in Las Vegas on Monday morning following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Nabor Ortega of Las Vegas; two sons, Lalo Ortega and Iris of Las Vegas, NM and Damian Ortega and his wife, Faye of Knoxville, TN; four daughters, Omelia Maes and her husband, Adolfo of Albuquerque, NM, Maria Efren Bearden and her husband, Woodrow, Mary Jane Sandoval and Andrew, and Cathy Ortega and Jesus all of Las Vegas, NM; one sister, Mary Trujillo of Las Vegas, NM; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and God-children. She was born in Tecolote, NM on August 22, 1915 to the late Abenicio and Benigna Trujillo Montoya. She was united in marriage to Nabor Ortega on June 6, 1932 in Las Vegas, NM. She was a foster parent for 43 years and for a short time was a nurse technician at the Las Vegas Medical Center. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow in the San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. Richard -- Grace L. Richard, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away at her home on January 20, 2001. She was born on June 1, 1928 in Wolverton, MN, the daughter of Lars and Kari Nygaard. She is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Richard, whom she married on December 27, 1948 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo, ND. She is also survived by three sons, Ronnie Richard, his wife, Tina, sons, Ryan, Aaron and daughter, Corey, Allen Richard, sons, Donovan, AJ and daughter, Faith and Randy Richard; two daughters, Barbara Andre and her husband, Michael, Jennifer Millard and daughter, Danielle, and son, Joseph, all of Albuquerque; brother, Allen Nygaard, of Bellfield, ND; and sister, Pearl Lange, of Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews and other family members including Rosie Flath, Ilene Morrosetti, Ramona Owen, Jimmy Rowen and Pauline Frahm; and best friend, Jeannie Faifer. Roach -- Delcia Roach, 77, born in New Mexico, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2001. She was the daughter of Alexander Pitts and Pumicena Aragon. She was preceded in by her father, Alexander Pitts; husband, John B. Roach; daughters, Cecilia Phillips and Patsy Garcia; son, Tom Roach; granddaughter, Pat Montoya; and great-grandson, Gino Rostro. Schneider -- Josef F. Schneider, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years, died on January 19, 2001. He was born on October 27, 1919 in Munich, Germany, where he grew up and after serving in World War II, completed his education. In 1956, he emigrated to Alamogordo, NM to work at Holloman Air Force Base, and moved to Albuquerque in 1970 to work at Kirtland Airfoce Base. Josef is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Sabine and husband, David Boruff and their children, Max and Joshua, all of Albuquerque; son, Thomas Schneider and wife, Alexis, of Topenga, CA. Josef was an active member of his church and the community. He taught computer classes at Bear Canyon Senior Citizen's Center and played violin in the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra. After his retirement in 1989, he continued to be a member of and edit the newsletter for the Instrumentation Society of America. Trujillo -- Cipriano (Pano) Trujillo, 75, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 16, 2001. Mr. Trujillo was a resident of Ponderosa, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Eva Trujillo of the family home; his children, Rita Hoogerhuis of Bernalillo, Steve Trujillo and wife Barbara of San Ysidro, NM, Sally Pacheco and husband Alfred of Albuquerque; Evelyn Martinez and husband Richard of Espanola, NM, Judy Gachupin and husband Arnold of Albuquerque, Marcelino Trujillo of Washington, Rosalia Serna of California; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sister, Epifania Gallegos and Maria Sedillo. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and those who knew and loved him. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Toribio Church, in Ponderosa, NM. Willmore -- Arthur Edward Willmore, 85, a former resident of Chicago, IL and a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Saturday, January 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Pat Willmore of Albuquerque; nephew, Donald Geis and wife, Nancy of Norridge, IL; great nephews, Rev. William Geis and wife, Sandi of Lone Wolf, OK, Donald Geis, Jr. and wife, Mary of OFallon, IL; great niece, Sandra Smigla and husband, Greg of Hoffman Estate. IL; great-great-nieces and nephews, Erica and Monica Geis of Lone Wolf, OK, Noah Geis of OFallon, IL, and Erin, Andrew, Barbra Smigla of Hoffman Estates, IL; cousins, Robert Willmore of South San Francisco, CA and Jim Willmore and wife, Eileen of Westerville, OH; and The Patton Family. Mr. Willmore was a graduate of Schurz High School, Class of 1933 in Chicago, IL and University of Illinois, Class of 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was business manager and Chairman of the Board of Hope Christian School, owner operator of the Willmore Corp, an appliance service center. Mr. Willmore was a member of Faith Chapel and Gideon's International. He was a Sunday School superintendent for 42 years and a member of the Board of Directors of Faith Chapel.
