GALLEGOS -- Luciano Gallegos passed away on Monday, July 5, 2004 at the age of 86. He was a life member of the DAV Chapter 3. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, George Rivera Sr. He is survived by his brother, Johnny Gallegos; sister, Angelina Rivera; nephews and nieces, Frances Winn, Helen Romero and husband, Tony, Gloria Marquez, Jo-Ann Romero and family, Isabel Barela and husband, Joe, George Rivera, Robert Rivera, Ted Gallegos Jr., and Berlinda Gallegos. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening July 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 at San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. MARQUEZ -- Robert J. Marquez, 47, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2004. He was born on March 5, 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Marquez is survived by his wife Juanita Marquez; sons, Robert Marquez, Richard Marquez and Ruben Marquez; daughter, Christina Marquez; brothers, Joe Marquez and wife Yita, Alfred Marquez and wife Lynne and Ruben Marquez and wife Lindy; sisters, Mary Montgomery and husband Cecil, Ida O'Neal and husband J.R., Lorine Lea, Linda Kozlowski and husband Johnny, Gloria Corcoran and husband Jim and Anita Ibarra and husband Rudy. Mr. Marquez will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations were held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Funeral Services were held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. also in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Interment followed at the Vista Verde Cemetery, 4310 Sara Rd. S.E. in Rio Rancho, NM. LUCERO -- Martina C. Lucero, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Moriarty, NM passed away Monday May 10, 2004, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born May 23, 1921 in Tucumcari, NM to Paul and Emeteria (Gonzalez) Chavez. She Married Maguin J. Lucero, he has preceded her in death in November 1987. She is survived by two sons, Jose A. and his wife, Mary Ann Lucero, and Michael C. and his wife, Beatrice Lucero; five daughters, Emma L. and her husband, Ruben Florez, Elvira L. and her husband, Manuel Ortega, Mary Ruth and her husband, Johnny Berridge, Connie and her husband, Jesus Castillo, and Olimpia Christenson; one grandson that she raised as her own, William Leach; one brother, Paul Chavez; three sisters, Della Marquez, Tomisita and her husband, Alfonzo Lopez, and Betty Hermosia; 45 grandchildren; 68 great- grandchildren; and 14 great-great- grandchildren. Martina C. Lucero will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She will lie in state Thursday, May 13, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Moriarty, with Rev. Maliton Lopez Officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Sam Ortega, Ruben Florez JR., Christopher Castillo, William Leach, Mike Lucero JR., and Paul Lucero. GALVAN -- Louie (Lou) Galvan, age 32, beloved son, father, brother, and grandson was called home by our heavenly Father, Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Lou was a resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Galvan. Lou is survived by his loving mother, Kathy Galvan; his precious sons, Louie Jr., Joshua, Isaac, and Pablo Galvan; his brother Richard Galvan and sister, Joann Galvan and Ernest Atencio. Also surviving are his girlfriend, Ysenia Monge; paternal grandmother, Nacha Galvan, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lou will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. MARTINEZ -- Pauline Martinez, 64, went home to the Lord on December 26, 2003. She is survived by one son Anthony Martinez; six daughters Margaret Martinez, Mildred Camacho and husband Luis, Rosie Martinez, Jeanette Martinez, Gina Martinez and husband Weldon Porter and Bernadette Martinez; five brothers Julio Chavez, Tim Chavez and wife Helen, Reyes Chavez and wife Trinie, David Chavez and wife Rita and James Chavez and wife Terri; two sisters Joyce Chavez and Judy Lopez and husband Alfred; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Martinez will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Garley -- Criserio"Crisie" Garley, 70, a lifelong resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2003 at home with his loving family at his side following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his mother and his father, Estanislado and Jennie Garley. Criserio is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Celina"Sally" Garley; his three daughters, Judy and her husband, Claudio Moya Jr., Christine Garley, Debbie and her husband, Jeff Nelson; his two sons, Teddy Garley and his wife, Margie, and Anthony Garley; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Renee, Danielle, Misty, Brandon, Kristi Lea and Justin; one great- grandson, Eric; two sisters, Lorena and her husband, Johnny Tafoya; and Clara and her husband, Ron Ely; one brother-in-law, David Valenzuela and his wife, Alice; and two sisters-in-law, Dollie Shoun, and Lillie and her husband, Gary McNabb. The family request that donations be made in Criserio's name to the San Clemente Building Fund. Romero -- Jose Q. Romero, age 76, passed away May 5, 2003 in Santa Fe following an illness. Jose was born June 29, 1926 in Duran, NM to the home of Teodolo and Eufelia Marquez Romero. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Jose married Rita Pena on November 1961. He worked for the State of New Mexico Highway Department for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rita L. Romero, an Infant son, his brother Florenio Romero, his sister, Ermilinda Herrera and his nephew Carlos Herrera. Jose is survived by his daughter, Tina Romero of Encino, NM, his grandson Benjamin Romero also of Encino, a special niece Rebecca Apodaca of Santa Rosa and his cousin Mercedes Salas of Portales. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Tuesday morning May 6, at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Encino, NM. Graveside services will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Encino. Serving as Pallbearers will be Harold Urioste, Anthony Garcia, Jake Tenorio, Nick Pena, Johnny Sanchez and Gerald Tenorio. Marquez -- John Nicholas Marquez, age 42. John was born June 8, 1960 in Tucumcari, NM to George Marquez and Roberta Martinez Dougherty. John was a loving husband and a devoted father. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He had worked five years for the Grants District of the State Highway Department, He taught Civil engineering at NMSU-Grants. At the time of his death, he was operating Marquez Surveying in Albuquerque. John was a Professional Surveyer for 20 years and was the best at what he did. He was caring and always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Denise Marquez of the family home in Bluewater; two sons, Jarred Marquez of Bluewater, Nick Marquez of Albuquerque; two daughters, Gabriella Marquez of Bluewater, Roberta Marquez of Albuquerque; his mother, Roberta Dougherty and her husband, Skip of Albuquerque; his father, George Marquez and his wife, Tina of Bluewater; two brothers, George Marquez Jr. and his wife, Georgia of Albuquerque, Benny Marquez and his wife, Kim of Albuquerque; two sisters, Teresa Feller and her husband, Ken of Los Alamos, Nina Johns and her husband, Larry of Las Vegas; and his in-laws, John and Patricia Herrera of Albuquerque; his brother-in-law, David Herrera and his wife, Barbara; four nephews, George Marquez, Jr., Toby Marquez, Jessie Marquez and John Murphy; four neices, Caroline Marquez, Kathryn Murphy, Jennifer Johns and Megan Johns. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at St. Vivian's Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Vivian's Catholic Church with Father Alberto Avella officiating.
