TRUJILLO -- Rita H. Trujillo passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, marking the beginning of her new life in the presence of Christ. She was born on February 22, 1924. Rita was a much-loved mother, sister, nana and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Rita will be remembered as a joyful, faithful, praying servant of God. She was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church and the Catholic Charismatic Center in Albuquerque. Rita was preceded in death by her father, Juan Horcasitas; her mother, Carolina Trujillo Horcasitas; her brother, Juan "Cocon" Horcasitas; her grandson, Phillip David Silva Jr.; and her dear friend, Maria Gonzales. She is survived by her brother, Ray Horcasitas and his wife Rosa, his children, Gary, Lisa and Michael and their families; her niece, Ana May Gutierrez and her family; her husband, Antonio T. Trujillo; her daughter, Gloria Silva and her husband, Phillip; her son, John Trujillo and his wife, Becky; her daughter, Elizabeth Trujillo Von Roemer and her husband, Reddogg; and her son, James Trujillo. Rita's greatest treasures and her biggest fans were her grandchildren, Carol Silva and her husband, Hank Jenkins-Smith; Katie Garcia and her husband, Robert; Stephanie Duran; J. Marcus Trujillo and his wife, Jennifer; David Silva and his wife, Consuelo; and Mikaela Silva; as well as Tiger, China and Cochise. Rita's great-grandchildren, Trish Duran, Steven Silva-Smith, Hannah Garcia, Ben Duran, Jesse Garcia and Issabella Silva will honor her memory as Honorary Pall Bearers. During this recent period of Rita's declining health and strength, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed with the honor and privilege of caring for her with the same love and grace shown by her, their Mom and Nana. As they worked and prayed and waited together, they reminisced, shared and discovered anew the one-of-a-kind, generous, welcoming, accepting, funny, complex, well-read, sweet-toothed, faithful, strong, independent, God-fearing, deeply and forever-loved woman that will live on in their hearts and memories, until they meet again. VIGIL -- MARIA EUGENIA "KENA" VIGIL Maria Eugenia "Kena" Vigil, age 90, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 3, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Lamy, New Mexico on January 24, 1920 to the late Felipe Salazar and Vivianita Griego-Salazar. She was united in Marriage to the late Pat Vigil on November 21, 1942 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This marriage produced ten children. She retired from the Las Vegas Medical Center where she was employed as Activity Therapy Director. She was a member of Catholic Daughters Court 1796 Empress of the Americas, The Las Vegas Women Club and IC Ladies Altar Society. A lifetime Catholic, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was very active in many ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Vicente Salazar; Roman Salazar; Felipe Salazar, Jr.; Carmen Hodges and Della Sanchez; husband: Pat Vigil; children: Joey Pat Vigil; Alberta Vigil and Dolores Vigil; grandson: Timothy Vigil. She is survived by her sons and daughters: Alex Vigil and wife Kathy of Santa Fe, NM; Vivian Richards and husband Keith of Albuquerque, NM; Peter Vigil and wife Joann of Oracle, AZ; Patrick Vigil of Albuquerque, NM; Roberta Jones of Albuquerque, NM; Phillip Vigil and partner Gina Duran of Las Vegas, NM; Jackie Sena and husband David of Albuquerque, NM; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister: Estefanita Trujillo of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law: Flavio Vigil of Las Vegas, NM; sisters-in-law: Lucy Vigil of Las Vegas, NM; Celina Salazar of Rio Rancho, NM; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary devotional services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 9:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church with nephew Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. REYES -- Joseph Nicholas Reyes, 23, left the physical world Wednesday, September 1, 2010. He was made of pure heart and was fearless in his originality. His creativity took many forms including music and theatre. In addition to bass, he also played guitar and drums. In the realm of theatre, he participated on all levels including acting, writing, directing and set design. Joe will always be known best for his unending reserve of generosity and humor. He was never too busy to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors and was always ready with a smile and a hug. Joe was preceded into the afterlife by his grandparents Nicholas Q. and Mercedes G. Reyes and Gasper and Lillian Mestas. He is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Jane Reyes; his siblings, Stacy Golden, her husband, Chris and their son, Aaron, Michelle Lombrano and her son, Cristian, Sean Duran, and Suzette Hines and her husband, Danny. DURAN -- Dora Duran, 63, passed away peacefully after a long battle with MS. Born March 14, 1947 she died on August 31, 2010. Born in Raton, Dora lived in Seattle for many years before relocating back home to New Mexico this spring. She graduated from Raton High School class of 1966. She then went on to have a successful career as a dental hygienist. Dora loved the outdoors and was an avid runner along with her husband Joe Louie. Preceded in death by son, Joseph; parents Amalio and Celina; brothers Ben, Eloy and Ted; sisters Mary, Viola and Stella. Survived by husband, Joe Louie; brothers Paul, Hope Duran, Don and wife Judy; sister Margaret Coughenour and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there will be a service on September 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Colmor NM Cemetery.

SISNEROS -- Carmen Sisneros, age 86, a native of Bernalillo, NM, was called home by our Lord peacefully, from her home on Sunday, August 29, 2010, while surrounded by her loving family. Carmen is survived by her husband of 70 years, Frank "Pancho" Sisneros; her daughter, Inez Diaz; sons, Justin and wife Arlene, Raymond and wife Sissy, Ronnie and wife Sylvia; 18 granchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Chavez; uncle, Antonio Chavez; and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoriano and Maria Chavez; brothers, Joe, Phillip, and Tommy Chavez; sister, Rosie Duran; sons, Robert and Rudy; and a grandson Reuben. ARVISO -- Maria Arviso, age 46, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010. She was born in Crownpoint, NM, raised in the Cuba and Rincon Marquez area; and was a resident of Albuquerque. Maria graduated form Cuba High School; she was a caregiver; and enjoyed singing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Arviso; brother, Shelby Arviso; and her son, Ryan Arviso; and her grandparents, Grace and Werito Sandoval. Maria is survived by her children, David Duran, Jr., Jason, Randy, Justin, and Tiffany Arviso, and Alcina Montano; three grandchildren; her loving mother, Leta Arviso; her brothers, Virgil and David Arviso; her sister, Lorenda Arviso; and; and numerous other relatives and friends.
