JACKSON -- Tracy (Scott) Jackson passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 5, 2010. She was a miracle when she came into this world on July 30, 1980. She was six weeks early and weighed only four lbs 11oz. She began her life as a fighter and carried that attitude through her journey. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1998 with honors as a Royal Blue and top 50 of her class. She attended NMSU and received a Nursing degree from Santa Fe Community College. She was a Registered Nurse working at the VA Medical Center. She was always the first person to help people in any way. She always put other people before herself. She loved many things like making wedding cakes, weekends at the lake, being outdoors, and she had become an avid huntress. She was so graceful on a water ski, but a true klutz on land. Her greatest joy came from her "bubba love" Daniel Ray Jackson who was also a miracle when she delivered him to us on February 12th of this year. She relayed that he had taught her what it truly meant to love. She taught all of those whom she touched how to love, even more because she made us all better for knowing her. She was married to Matt in April of 2008. The love they shared was truly special and their time together however short was a blessing for him. She will be sorely missed; the world is a lesser place without her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Scott, Joy Neie and Oliver Neie. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Jackson; son, Daniel Ray Jackson; parents, Michael and Gail Scott; brother, Curtis Scott; nephews, Riley Scott and Dustin Scott; grandmother, Betty Jo Scott; mother-in-law, Clara Jackson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends that are also considered immediate family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, New Life City church, 4830 Pan American Freeway NE, Albuquerque, NM, 505-323-3900. A Celebration of her life will continue at the Scott family's home following the service. In lieu of flowers there will be a scholarship fund established at Bank of America for Daniel. Those who wish to express condolences may do so at: www.danielsfuneral.com. Arrangements are entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services 4310 Sara Road SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124 505-892-9920

TAFOYA -- Tommy In memory of Tommy Tafoya July 22, 1940 - September 11, 1992 First things first: Sorry we forgot to go to the cemetery on Father's Day. I guess you were upset but we got the message loud and clear when you sent a big colorful balloon that said "Happy Fathers Day Dad" hovering over the pond in the back yard. It's the first and only time we ever missed but we made up for it on your birthday. Tom and Charlotte celebrated 17 years of marriage last weekend. Tomas is a sophomore at St. Pius and loves it. He's a very good student and he's still dancing and doing well. He made his conformation last May with the Archbishop. This year he has a broken arm. (Last year it was Tatiana. Hopefully next year we won't have to report anyone has a broken bone!) Tatiana is in 8th grade at St. Charles and is still dancing her hips off. She's also a good student and her teachers always enjoy having her in their class. Lucretia just got a new job at UNM and is very happy about it. Her children (the dogs) have adjusted to being here and being outside. They even catch an occasional bird which upsets their mother and makes me laugh. Nep and family are doing good. Evangelee is in 5th grade and playing volleyball for her school. Samantha is very happy about being a big kid in first grade. Fred is two and 1/2 and loves to watch football and play outside. Mary Trinnie and Gerald will celebrate 14 years of marriage September 28. Gerald Paul is 11 and still playing football. They're undefeated again. He had a busy summer playing basketball. He's a good student at Queen of Heaven. Tommy Andres is already four and goes to preschool at St. Luke's with Mr. Jay and Ms. Judy. He's playing soccer and has his first game on Saturday. Mom is doing good too for 85. Tommy Andres and Gerald Paul call her Great Daisy. She gets a kick out of that. Dr. Vigil says she needs to exercise to make it past 90. Dodo, David, Marty and I went to the Vigil-Tafoya family reunion in July. It was fun. I'm going to Jamaica on our wedding anniversary, October 20. I can't believe we would have been married 48 years. Kevin is getting married so I'm going with Carol. We all love and miss you every day. Mass in your memory is being said today at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption on Lomas and Tennessee. Love your wife, Vivian; your children, Tom and Charlotte, Lucretia, Nep, Mary Trinnie and Gerald; your grandchildren, Tomas and Tatiana, Gerald Paul and Tommy Andres, Evangelee and Samantha and Fred.
