PADILLA, ANTHONY (TONY) D. age 65, a lifelong resident of Los Padillas, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015. Tony is survived by his daughters, Angela Sanchez and husband, Robert, Amanda Padilla-Brennan and husband, Ethan; mother of his daughters, Loretta Thomason; grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Richard, Amberley, Adrian, Felicia and husband, Toby, Ian and Anam; great-grandchildren, Annette, Ellis, Urijah, Savanna, Kiera, Avery; sisters, Loretta Chavez and husband, Carlos, Elizabeth Contreras and husband, Juan, Anna Wharton and husband, Alan; brothers, Jerry Padilla and wife, Lucille, Henry Padilla, Ricky Padilla and wife, Patsy, Esqui Padilla III and wife, Denise; aunt, Rita Lujan and husband, Frank; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. MAESTAS, JOSE GASPAR born June 13, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Felisha; six children, Victoria, Lewis, Alice (Paul), Joseph (Grace), Kathy and Bernadette (Joey); twelve grandchildren, Leyla (James), Crystal, Jessica, Darlene, Stephanie, Cristina, Amanda, Samantha, Valerie, Alex, Thomas and Michael; twelve great-grandchildren, Joseph, Manuel, James, Destiny, Anthony, Dominic, Joshua, Elaijah, Ally, Robert, Charles and Olivia; two great-great-grandchildren, Satiana and Jeremiah; siblings, Tony, Dick, Mary, Nettie, Olivia, Rayes, Maggie and Mando; as well as many, many nephews and nieces. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Viewing will begin at 8:00 AM. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 PM with U.S. Army Honors. SHENUSKI, JESSIE DEVINE Age 94, passed away January 10, 2015 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children Tony Shenuski and wife, Edrie, Jolene Ratliff and husband, Frank and Doris Shenuski Zetocha; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and many other family and friends including her very special neighbor and "sister" Addie Purchase. Jessie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her parents and her five siblings. Born in Albuquerque into one of the founding families, Jessie was a devout Catholic and along with her family were long time members of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy and was very proud of her Old Town roots. Jessie was a devoted wife and mother. After her children were grown, she worked at the Covered Wagon in Old Town. She loved to shop and in recent years became a competitive bingo player. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 15, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza NW. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Camila Tapia and the staff at Casa De Rosa Assisted Living for their loving care in her last years. SALAZAR, JUSTINE "J" BIANCA October 12, 1988 Justine passed away suddenly. She is survived by her father, Steven "Bro" Salazar; Maggie; her brother, Estevan; and her sisters, Alysha, Angelita, and Rosalinda. She is also survived by her four children: Alyssa, Santos, Tony and Aliyah. Justine was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice, and both maternal and paternal grandparents. She touched everyone's heart that she crossed and will be greatly missed. Funeral Rosary was held on Saturday, noon at Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred NW. The Mass of Resurrection was held at 1pm St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. We wish to thank our family and friends for all of the love, prayers and support during this difficult time.

ARMIJO, ANTONIO J. Our beloved brother Antonio (Tony) J. Armijo Jr., age 75, went home to be with the Lord. He was a long life resident of Albuquerque and on Friday, December 26, 2014 he passed away. Tony served his country and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He will be remembered as a master goldsmith, jewelry designer and craftsmen. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Armijo and father Antonio J. Armijo Sr. He is survived by his sister Marcella Espana and her husband Ernest of Albuquerque; brother Richardo Armijo and wife Linda of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Tony was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Eulogy and Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on January 15, 2015 at 2:00pm.

KIRTLEY, MARIE G. Marie G. Kirtley died at home on 12/30/2014. Born April 21, 1949 in Campbellsport, Wisconsin, she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico after serving in the United States Navy. Marie was a dedicated Registered Nurse who worked with patients in the hospital, air ambulance, and recently in the classroom. Survivors include William Kirtley; children, Jenna Johnson and Kevin Kirtley; brothers John and Tony Butschlick; grandchildren, Austin and Hannah Johnson, Aiden & Maverick Kirtley; son-in-law Herman Johnson; and daughter-in-law Kari Kirtley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Butschlick. Services will be held at St Michael & All Angels Church today, January 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Albuquerque Animal Humane Society to honor her compassion for animals in need.

CASSINO, FRANCES G. Frances Cassino, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She is survived by her long-time ranch manager and friend, Ernest Ortiz, his wife, Kim, and their children; long-time friend, Delores Moncayo, Delores' husband, Johnny, and also by her horse, Curley. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her brother, Anthony Gomes; her parents, Stella and Tony Gomes, and her beloved dog, Rufus. Frances was an educator and received her undergraduate degree from UNM. She went on to obtain her Master's Degree and Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkley. She liked to be known as a "Berkley Girl." She taught Spanish at Albuquerque High School and Monzano High School. Frances also taught at UNM. She had a lifelong love for Morgan horses and took the time to teach her students how to ride. Frances was also active in Town Club at UNM. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Rosary will be led by Delores Moncayo. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., following the Rosary. Deacon Andrew Chavez will officiate. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
