Her eldest, Marty and wife, Bonnie live in Walnut Creek, CA. Brad and wife, Sue live in Ft. Worth, TX. Almadean lived with Reid and wife, Amy in Albuquerque. Randy and wife, Pam live in Fairfax, VA. Her grandchildren (Rob, Matt, Mark Drew, Nathan, Heidi, Ben, Adam, and Kelly) range in age from 26 to 15. Almadean grew up in Kennewick, WA. She was an outstanding student and graduated as salutatorian in her high school class. She attended beauty school in Spokane, WA before marrying Jim Warner in 1942. They were married 32 years before he died in 1974. They enjoyed a 22-year career in the Army Air Corps/US Air Force. As a military wife, Almadean attended many official functions and was an active participant in Officer's Wives Club, serving as President at both Bentwaters, AB, England and Presque Isle, AFB, ME. In addition to rearing four boys, she engineered two overseas moves and eight statewide household changes. She also found time to develop a lifelong love for golf and bridge. Following retirement from the Air Force in 1961, the family moved to the Southwest. Almadean loved warm weather and welcomed the change from cold Maine winters to the hot climate of Phoeniz, AZ. During the next 15 years, a new career in the US Forest Service led the family to Silver City, NM and then Santa Fe, NM. While there, Almadean was active in St. Bede's Episcopal Church Altar Guild, Santa Fe Women's Club, and played bridge regularly. She also worked part-time outside the home. She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed masterpieces for women in Silver City and Santa Fe. After Jim's death in 1974, she worked a number of years at Los Cosas in Santa Fe. She met Spencer Schwarz in 1977 and they were married in 1980 and moved to Albuquerque. They attended St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Albuquerque. She was widowed the second time when Spencer died in 1980. Almadean's legacy is her model as a wife and mother; and the secure and stable atmosphere she fostered for her children.
