Obituary for Meurer

Irven S. Meurer, 78, a resident of Corrales since 1960, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2000. Irven was born January 10, 1922, the son of John and Hulda Beck Meurer in Texas. He had been a Journeyman Electrician, working in Commercial Construction before retiring. He was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, IBEW Local #611 and the New Mexico Houndsman Association. Irven is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Meurer of Corrales; four children, Dwayne Meurer and wife, Lynelle of Bridge City, TX, Daniel Meurer and wife, Cassie of Rio Rancho, Kathleen Rios of Rio Rancho, and Ron Meurer and wife, Kristine of Albuquerque; one brother, Fred Meurer of Clovis, CA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The visitation and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Wednesday, January 12, 2000, 1:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rick Larrabee, Chris Montoya, Roger March, George Williams, Dan David, Steve Fraley, and Chris Rios.
