Mr. Joe B. Montoya, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 11, 2000. Mr. Montoya is survived by his loving son, Larry Montoya; a special niece, Betty Emerton and husband, Bob; sisters, Sally Garcia and husband, Pete, Sofie Lopez and husband, Felipe, Theresa Jaramillo and Epifania Montoya; one brother, Natividad Montoya and wife, Theresa; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Montoya was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW with visitation after 6:30, Gabriella Nieto, reciting. A Communion Service will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with final viewing at the church after 8:30. Deacon Enrique Padilla, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Sprunk, Steve Montoya, Rudy Montoya, Leroy Garcia, Bobby Garcia and David Garcia. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
