GALLEGOS -- Mrs. Corine M. Gallegos, 82, a resident of Albuquerque passesd away on January 28, 2004. Mrs. Gallegos is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Barela, Annie Cordova and husband, Andrew; two sons, Narciso Gallegos and wife, Lupe, Fred Gallegos and wife, Yolanda; one sister, Laura Baca and husband, Mike; eleven grandchildren, Tina, Joseph, Lisa, Marc, Aaron, Evan, Anthony, Martin, Marie, Cindy and Jerome; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Gallegos was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Family Choir for twenty five years. A visitation for Mrs. Gallegos will be Sunday afternoon from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. by a Franciscan Friar. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Anthony Gallegos, Martin Gallegos, Marc Cordova, Joseph Barela, Aaron Cordova and Evan Cordova. RIVERA -- Karen Diane Dunbar Rivera, 43, a resident of Albuquerque for 19 years, passed away on January 27, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Louis Rivera of Albuquerque; children, Louis Christopher Rivera and wife, Maria Elena of Boston, MA, Alexander Raul Rivera of New York City, NY, Natalie LouAnn Rivera, Benjamin Kenneth Rivera and Dominic Robert Richard Rivera all of Albuquerque; father, Kenneth Ray Dunbar of Walters, OK; brother, Kevin Ray Dunbar and wife, Geraldine of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Bertha B. Rivera and father-in-law, Raul A. Rivera both of Albuquerque. Karen is also survived by countless family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marietta Martin Dunbar. Karen was a loving wife, mother and friend, and her dedication to the lives of others demonstrated tremendous self-sacrifice. Karen was enthusiastic and knowledgeable; she always spoke her mind. As a committed student of life, she strove to learn one new thing everyday, and then share her knowledge with everyone. Karen was a mother to all, and everyone witnessed her unending generosity. She was very proud of her children's accomplishments, always encouraging them to succeed. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales with Fr. Clarence Galli, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Karen D. Rivera Charitable Fund, c/o French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. LUCERO -- Roberto Lucero, age 50, passed away on January 28, 2004. Roberto was born on February 5, 1953 in Clovis, NM. He was a very giving man always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and extremely talented in his carpentry work. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Roberto was preceded in death by his father Martin; both of his beloved mothers Theordita and Sally; and his sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife Judith of 33 years; his children, Sofia and partner , Ray, Sabrina, and Jesus. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph, Abreanna, Alyah, Raeann, and is expecting a new grand baby in August; brothers, Ernesto and Ester, Martin and wife, Nora; sisters, Mary Ruth Berriage and husband, John, Betty Maes and husband, Jody, Carol Lopez and husband, Joseph. Also surviving him are six nieces; five nephews; ten great- nieces; and two great nephews; and a host of many friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Blake Road Baptist Church, 1404 Blake Rd. SW. Interment will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the San Ysidro Teresita Cemetery on Gonzales Ranch. ARMIJO -- Mrs. Bernardita Armijo, 82, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on January 27, 2004. Mrs. Armijo is survived by her one son, Ricardo Armijo; two daughters, Velma Rocha and husband, Leo, Lelia Brito and husband, Jim; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Armijo was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Armijo; one son, Eppie Armijo; a grandson, Martin and a great granddaughter, Amanda. Mrs. Armijo was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Armijo will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Mission in El Valle, New Mexico with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Julio Gonzalez. ULLRICH -- Suzanne (Nee) Elsen Ullrich, born August 16, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI, died January 20, 2004 in Albuquerque. She is survived by daughter, Donna and husband, Jerry Stephens; son, Jim and wife, Kathy Ullrich; granddaughter, Jerilynn and husband, Martin Huebschman; grandson, Tony Stephens and his wife, Melissa; granddaughters, Erin and Katie Ullrich; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary and Megan Huebschman and Mikey and Makayla Stephens. siblings, Richard Elsen and wife, Terri; sister, Marge Elsen, S.S.N.D., Maryann and husband, Pete Pederson. She is predeceased by son, John in 1978; brothers, Gerry, 1928, Bill, 1986; and sister, Jane, 1995. Suzie, as she liked to be called, retired from Mountain Bell in 1982 after 26 years of service. A Private Memorial and scattering of cremains will be held at a future date. The family asks that contributions, if desired, in her honor be made to any mental health organization or the American Juvenile Diabetes Association. She left this earth with her beloved music playing and her dancing shoes on.

CHAVEZ -- Emma Lou Chavez, age 48, was born on June 15, 1955 and passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2004. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carlota and Joe Vigil; grandmother, Sophia Trujillo; sister, Maggie; brothers, Joe and Herman; and uncles, Freddie, Uncle Ronnie Vigil; and son-in-law, Adam Aragon. She is survived by her Mother and Father, Annie and Leo Chavez; sister, Carla and husband, John Meier; and brother, Vincent, and wife, Christy Chavez. She is also survived by her daughter, Valeri Chavez-Aragon; son, Johnny Ray Barela; four grandchildren, Janae, Justine, Adam and Joleen Aragon. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews; uncles, Ben, Faustine, Roman and George; and aunts, Benny, Alma and Lorraine. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at also at St. Francis Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. OTERO -- Estanislado (Lalo) Otero, 95, a life long resident of Los Lunas, NM peacefully joined Our Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2004. He was born on November 19, 1908. Lalo is survived by his wife, Anita Otero, of 52 years; his son, Edgar Otero; his daughters Rosie Otero; Luggie Walker; Elinora Oliver; Julia, and her husband, Moises Perea; Mary Jane and her husband, Carlos Martin; Edna Magdalena, and her husband, Rick Luther; his grandchildren; Daniel, Ruth and Stanley Perea, Chris and Jeff Oliver, David Otero, Becky Sandoval, Stella Salcido, Michelle Montoya, Felicia Lucero, Sarah Gauna; 16 great grandchildren, and one on the way; and 2 great great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Carolina Garcia; and his sister-in-law, Lynda, and her husband, Jose Rodriguez. Pallbearers will be his loving grandchildren, one great grandson, Dylen Gauna, and a grandson-in-law Joe Salcido. Honorary pallbearers will be Adenago Perea and Andrew Aragon. Lalo was a faithful and loving husband, and a wonderful father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend to many. He loved the Lord and left a legacy of a praying man, spending countless hours on his knees praying for his family. He lived by faith, and lived peaceably with everyone he knew. He had the peace of God, which splashed onto others as they crossed his path. He was man of integrity, compassion, selfless, moral, respectable, steadfast in the Lord. We will miss you, Querido, Daddy, Papa, Grampa, Lalo. Thank you for your life, your example, and your prayers. All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home beginning with a viewing on Monday, January 26, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Price officiating.
