LITTLE -- Maggie Pauline Little, 86, a resident of Albuquerque died on June 1, 2004. She was born on March 2, 1918, in Oologah, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Little; and her son, Charles Dye. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Mattox; and her grandchildren, Donna Orum, Richard Teasley and Patricia Kaehele. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 17, 2004, 6:30 p.m. at Sandia Brethren in Christ Church, 541, Utah NE.

PADILLA -- Antonia (Tonita) Padilla, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2004, at the family home surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Toni graduated from Loretto Academy in 1945. She then started her long and successful banking career, which encompassed over 40 years. She started at First National Bank of Santa Fe. She also worked at Santa Fe National Bank and was one of the original employees of Capital Bank, under the direction of Ike Kalangis. Toni's career culminated in her becoming vice-president of Sunwest Bank. Toni was an extremely generous woman with her money, contributing thousands of dollars to various charities, particularly those involving hunger and children. Toni was an avid reader, bowler and she loved to gamble. She was a life-long parishioner of Cristo Rey Church and was a member of the Cristo Rey Altar Society and Union Protectiva Femenina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Cesaria Martinez Rivera and her brother, Jose Reyes Rivera. She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Augustine Gallegos, Alfonso LeFebre and Joe Encinias. She is survived by her husband to whom she was married for 56 years, Antonio Jose Padilla and six children; Carmen Carrillo and husband Michael Kuhlewind, children Andrew and Michael Carrillo; Leo Padilla and children Joseph Padilla and wife Teresa Poole, Celina Varela and husband Gene, Tanya, Antonio & Matthew Padilla, Maria Padilla-Enyart and husband Steve, and daughter Lindsay Marisol; Cesaria (Cia) Tapia and children Donna Gurule & husband Mark, Bianca and Steven Barela; Ana Padilla and daughter Marisa Danielson and Carlos A. Padilla and children David, Nicole and Arianne Padilla. She also had seven (7) great-grandchildren, Samantha Gurule, Angelica Padilla, Andres Padilla. Mannie Padilla, Samantha Padilla, Amber Varela and Diego Varela. She is also survived by her brother, Matias Rivera, sister Eloyda Garcia and husband Rudy, and sisters-in-law Zoila Rivera, Rosaura Gallegos of Farmington, NM, Adelina LeFebre and Corrina Encinias. Toni had a great number of friends, relatives and colleagues who loved her and will miss her dearly. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Cristo Rey Church at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Cristo Rey Church on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the National Cemetery. Reception following at Cristo Rey Center. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Toni's name to the Susan G. POWERS -- Carolyn J. Powers, 64, a resident of Albuquerque since 2002, died Thursday, June 10, 2004. She is survived by her children, Kip, Kevin, Lisa, Kris, Jodi, Donna, Ronnie; grandchildren, Isaac, Jacob, Nicole, Denee, Amber, Derek, April, Dakota, Jessica, Lloyd, Kris, Grace, Caleb, Craig, Brigitte, Glenn, Tiffany, Crystal, Cherish, Cassidy, Alan, and Breanna; great grandchildren, Malichi, Clarice, Isaac, Jr., Elijah, and Chelsea. She was preceded in death by her one daughter, Sandi. All are in appreciation of her many years of loyalty, strength, and quiet perseverance in the nurturing of her family. RHODES -- Rex Rhodes, born September 5, 1921, passed away Monday, June 7, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn "Ann" Rhodes; two daughters, Debbie Hellbach and husband, Carl "Bear" Hellbach, Danie Williams and husband, Mike; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Rhodes and wife, Donna; sister, Claudia Shriver; three stepchildren and their spouses, Jody and Don Vandock, Don and Janie States, and Jim and Barbara States; six great- step-grandchildren; and 11 great-great- stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred C. Rhodes and Emma Hoppes Rhodes. Rex was a World War II, Purple Heart Recipient. He was also a lifetime member of the International Lions Club, Past President of the Four Hills Lions Club, Leader Dog representative and a Melvin Jones recipient. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Sunday, June 13, 2004, 2:00 p.m., in the Piru Clubhouse at Four Hills Mobile Home Park. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. YORK -- Vernon Joe York of Elephant Butte, NM passed away suddenly June 2, 2004 in Lincoln City, OR. He was 74 years old. He was born December 31, 1929 in Newton County, MO to Donna Landreth York and Lee York. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home; three daughters, Deborah and Tim Diesel of Albuquerque, NM, Cynthia Ann York of Manitou Springs, CO and Diane York of Albuquerque; one step-son, William Bozarth of Ariel, WA; one step-daughter, Maryetta Johnston of Junction, TX; two sisters, Norma Lemaster of Pierce City, MO and Carolyn Marion of Ritchey, MO; eight step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be announced later.

BEALL -- Ray Jack Beall, 74, died Saturday, June 5, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Annadene Beall of Peralta, NM; son, Bobby Beall and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Ryan and Billy Beall of Peralta, NM and Amber Beall of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, Bobby L. Beall and wife, Emily of Albuquerque; Larry D. Beall and wife, Bonnie of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Lee Brown and wife, Donna of Santa Fe, NM; and numerous loving nieces nephews, family and friends. Ray was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Jack Beall and Garry Ray Beall; brother, James M. Beall; parents, J.D. & Pearl Beall. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 37 years of working. MOORE -- John A. Moore, 77, a resident of Rio Rancho, died on June 8, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Moore of Rio Rancho, NM; children, John P. Moore of Chino Hills, CA, Donna Martin of Albuquerque, Susan Torres of Temecula, CA, Steven Moore of Corrales and Chris Beatty of Rio Rancho and their spouses; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Father James P. Moore of Albuquerque and sister, Mary Gross of Lakewood, CO. He was surrounded at the time of his death by his family who loved him. ESQUIBEL -- Vincent Mark Esquibel, 18, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 5, 2004. Vincent is the beloved son to Mark and Donna L. Esquibel. Vincent is also survived by one brother, Jeremy Gavin Esquibel; his grandmothers, Vivian Rimbert and Beatrice Esquibel; great grandmother, Lucy Montoya; an aunt, Angel C de Baca; nine uncles, Mark Coucke, Sean Coucke and wife, Donna, Robert White, Joseph Esquibel, Gary Esquibel, Brian Esquibel, Joel Esquibel, Lane Esquibel and Andrew Esquibel and his son, Drew; close family friends, Joe and Linda Garza; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Vincent was a student at Highland High School. A visitation for Vincent will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow service.
