ARAGON -- Jose Antonio Aragon, joined our Lord and Savior, Saturday, June 5, 2004. Jose was born on May 2, 1921 to Pedro Aragon and Francescita Orona Aragon, who have proceeded him in death. Jose was a lifelong resident of Los Lunas, where he and his wife, Albina raised their family. He was employed and retired from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy. Jose loved farming, ranching and enjoyed being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Albina O. Aragon of the family home in El Cerro, New Mexico; his four sons, Joe and his wife, Manuela, Albino, Andres, and Matthew Aragon, all of Los Lunas, New Mexico; his seven grandchildren, Valerie, Anthony, Tristian, Shane, Charity, Veronica, and Phillip Aragon; three special family members, Jenee, Melissa, and Steve; five brothers; two sisters; and many other family and friends. BURKE -- Julie T. Burke, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Friday, June 4, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Janet M. Burke of Everett, WA; son, Jorgen J. Burke and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Roger, Shery, Lance and Lisa; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Grinsteinner of Dickinson, ND; brother, Steve Volz of Montana; sisters-in-law, Judith Peterson of Webster, SD and Clara Volz of Miles City, MT; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorgen A. Burke in 1978; sons, Jeffrey in 1969 and James in 2001; and several brothers and sisters. Julie was a past member of First Lutheran Church of Crystal, MN. She was a current member of the Carlisle Plaza United Methodist Church. Julie volunteered at Fairbault State Hospital was a Cub Scout den mother, and volunteered at A.R.C.A. in Albuquerque. DE LA O -- Erminia De La 0, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, June 4th, 2004. She was born in Garfield, NM on May 14, 1913, and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1963. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Valentino De La O and wife Calaya, and Nel De La 0; her daughters, Belen Sanchez, Sofie Castillo and husband Rudolfo, Rachel Montoya and husband, Ernie; her niece, Clorinda Duran; nephews, Isidro and Victor Casares. Erminia is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Ladera Nursing Home for their loving care during her stay. All services will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. DEAN -- Leo G. Dean, 84, passed away on June 4, 2004. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Effie M. Dean. He is survived by two daughters, Ruth Dean and Judy Ortega; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in Clovis, NM on December 6, 1919. ESQUIBEL -- Vincent Mark Esquibel, 18, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 5, 2004. Vincent is the beloved son to Mark and Donna L. Esquibel. Vincent is also survived by one brother, Jeremy Gavin Esquibel; his grandmothers, Vivian Rimbert and Beatrice Esquibel; great grandmother, Lucy Montoya; an aunt, Angel C de Baca; nine uncles, Mark Coucke, Sean Coucke and wife, Donna, Robert White, Joseph Esquibel, Gary Esquibel, Brian Esquibel, Joel Esquibel, Lane Esquibel and Andrew Esquibel and his son, Drew; close family friends, Joe and Linda Garza; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. GARAY -- Jose Cruz Garay, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 4, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maria del Refugio (Cuca) of the family home; son, Mario O. Garay and wife, Carolina; daughters, Maria Tita Garay, Juanita Garay and Leticia "Tish" Garay, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Mario S. Garay, Matthew R. Garay, Jonathan Garay and Jordan S. Garay; special grandchildren, Christopher A. Chavez, Diana Mendez, and Anasofia Guzman; sister, Ester Garay of Fresnillo; brothers-in-law, Irineo Villegas and wife, Anita and Javier Villegas and wife, Alicia; sisters-in-law, Lupe Ulibarri and husband, Frank, Adelaida Campos, Sor. HAMILTON -- Ora West Hamilton, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Thursday, June 3, 2004. She is survived by her son, Irred "Butch" Hamilton and wife, Sami of Albuquerque; grandsons, Jason Hamilton and Jeffrey Hanstad; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Hamilton, Ian Hamilton, and Sierra Esquer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hamilton in 1989. Ora was born in Hereford, TX on November 16, 1914. She graduated from Waylon Baptist College. Ora married Charles C. Hamilton on July 14, 1946. She retired from the U.S. Public Indian Health Service. Ora was an avid UNM Lobo fan. KERSEY -- Andrew Troy Kersey, age 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946 was called home to be with our Heavenly Father, Saturday, June 5, 2004. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Kersey; children, June and husband, Brian Butler, of Albuquerque, Kaye and husband, Don Baehr of Edgewood, Joan Kostedt of Portales, NM, Tom Kersey of Albuquerque, Gloria and husband, Steve Drake of Clovis, NM; grandchildren, Bruce Martin and family, Glenn Kostedt and family, Janet Buenafe and family, Ken Kostedt and family, Tonya Nelson and family, James Lowe and family, Allan Kostedt and family, Troy Butler and Lin Drake. 19 great-grandchildren; brother of Ruby and Leon Prindle, Greta and Homer Thomas and family; brother-in-law of Jones Lee and Nancy Hopkins and family, Sue Russell and family, and numerous nieces and nephews and families. He was born in Manitou, OK and raised in Oklahoma Lane, TX. He was a World War II veteran. Andrew retired from Sandia National Labs in 1986. Burial: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Vivian was born June 4, 1924 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to William Reginald and Nettie Mae Rhoden Richardson. She married Laurence Edward Scruggs Jr. on July 19, 1943 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up and lived most of her life in Albuquerque and she and her husband moved to the Cleburne area in 1995. As a couple, they were very involved in all orders of the Masonic Temple and Shrine. She was a Methodist. TORRACO -- Pasquale "Pat" Torraco, Col. USAF (Ret) 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004. He is survived by his children, Dennis J. Torraco, Daniel W. Torraco (Lisa), Mary C. Torraco, Camille A. Torraco all of Albuquerque and Regina R. Sworski (Loren) of Minnesota; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Russell Torraco (Gloria) of New York. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice in 1980, his second wife, Virginia, and his son, Douglas J. Torraco. Col. Torraco started his military career in 1942 with the U.S. Marine Corps then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force where he retired in 1975 after 32 years of military service. He volunteered his services for seniors with the VITA Program through the IRS.
