Brown -- Helen L. Brown, 69, passed away April 8, 2000 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a longtime resident of Tucumcari, NM. Helen is survived by her husband, Richard Brown; four children, Jerry, Michael, Linda, and Candice; three grandchildren, Richard, Stefani, and David; great-grandson, Blake Richard; and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Herrera -- Mr. Abelino C. Herrera, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 5, 2000. Mr. Herrera is survived by his three sons, Clarence Herrera, John Herrera and wife, Gloria and Robert David Herrera and wife, Susanne; one sister, Carol Herrera; three brothers, Eloy Herrera and wife, Lena, Mariano Herrera and wife, Reina and Ramon Herrera and wife, Grace; seven grandchildren, Donald, Matilda, Roseline, Michelle, Clyde, Jonathan and Patricia; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tillie Herrera, 1980. Mr. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church, Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII, worked for Sandia Base and A.P.S. until his retirement in 1979, and was Board member of Westland Development Corporation. A Mass will be celebrated Monday morning, 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with Father Tom, Celebrant. The family will be receiving family and friends at the church after 8:30 a.m. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.

Klentschy -- Kenneth Karl Klentschy, born March 5, 1926, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, went to his eternal rest April 8, 2000 at 6:10 a.m. Kenny is survived by his widow, Margo of Farmington, NM; five daughters, Karlyn McPartlin and husband, Raymond of Reno, NV, Janice Carrier and husband, Scott of Fremont, CA, Paul Geisler of Atlanta, GA, Kenda Land and fiance Jay Cornell, and Kayle Moore and husband, David of Albuquerque, NM; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Kenny is a"perpetual member" of Mesa Lodge #68 in Albuquerque, NM, and was Worshipful Master of that Lodge in 1981. Kenny was a 32nd Degree, KCCH Scottish Rite in Santa Fe, NM. He was also a member of the"Ballut Abyad Shrine" in Albuquerque. In 1993, Kenny proudly served as"The Most Worshipful Grand Master" of Masons in New Mexico. He is a"perpetual member" of Animas Lodge #15 in Farmington, NM where he served as a Secretary and was a member of Chama Lodge #17 in Cuba, NM. In addition, Kenny was a member of the Farmington Elks Club. Kenny served his country as a combat veteran in World War II as a communicators navigator in the U.S. Navy. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, all contributions may be made to the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Foundation, Box 2024, Santa Fe, NM 87504. Memorial Services will be held in Albuquerque, NM, at Temple Masonic Lodge #6, 3801 Osuna Rd. Kowalski -- Stanley M. Kowalski, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968 died, Thursday, April 6, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Kowalski of Albuquerque; daughter, Dianne Parker and husband, David of Colorado Springs; son, Douglas P. Kowalski and wife, Lynette of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Christine and Rachel Parker of Colorado Springs, Jason and Nolan Kowalski of St. Louis; and sister, Pauline Mazurkiewicz of New York. Mr. Kowalski served 29 years in the U.S. Army including assignments in World War II in the Pacific Theatre including Okinawa, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. During his services he received: Second and Third Oak Leaf Cluster to Bronze Star Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Army Commendation with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, Korean SVC Medal with 2 Service Star, National Defense Service Medal with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Legion of Merit, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with ten year Device. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Deacon Bob Lewis officiating. Norman -- Dr. Elizabeth Ann Norman, age 61, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Fort Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1956. After raising three daughters, she returned to school, completing her BUS with distinction at the University of New Mexico in 1989 and her MA in Educational Foundations in 1991. In 1997, Dr. Norman received her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Norman and her husband moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1998 where she became an active participant in many community organizations. She continued her studies, learning French and studying Greece and Greek culture. She served as President of the Sun City Summerlin French Club, Chaplain of the Spring Mountain Republican Women, and was a member of the Valley of Fire Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dr. Norman was a lifelong member of Church of Christ. She and her husband lived and traveled throughout the world. Ann loved and was greatly loved by Jay, her husband and best friend for 42 years. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Other survivors include her daughters, Alecia J. Hunter and husband, Thomas of San Diego, CA, Joanna K. Norman and husband, Paul Tumarkin of Tucson, AZ and Delia F. Raymer and husband, Michael L. of Lansing, MI; parents, E.E. Stell and Ulean Stell of Forth Worth, TX; sister, Kathy Thurman and husband, David of Estes Park, CO; grandchildren, Tyler J. Wang and Sheamus Stell Hunter of San Diego, CA; nephews, Jason Thurman of Forth Worth and Norman Brinkley of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, Jennifer Anglen of Halfway, Missouri and Liesl Bergt of Anchorage, Alaska. Memorial Services for Dr. Norman will be Friday, April 14, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. at Church of Christ, 2323 Diamond Drive, Los Alamos, NM. Pawlak -- Fred J. Pawlak, 64, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Friday, April 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Pawlak of the family home; daughters, Daun Dow of Albuquerque, Mary Page and husband, Bobby of Rio Rancho; son, Scott Pawlak of Albuquerque; grandsons, David Carriere and Kenny Woodham, both of Albuquerque, and Zachary Page of Rio Rancho; brother-in-law, John Lord and wife, Pat of Gordon, WI. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Pawlak was a member of the Albuquerque Field Archers, NM Bow Hunters Association, Yucca Muzzle Loaders, NM Mountain Men, and the Zia Gun Club. He had worked for 19 years as a glazier for different glass companies in Albuquerque, retiring in 1998. He had also worked for several years at Movies 8. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2000, at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Driggers -- Roy William Driggers, 74, joined his Lord on April 6, 2000. Mr. Driggers was a member of a prominent pioneer ranching family born at a stagecoach stop near Santa Rosa, NM on March 25, 1926. Roy is survived by his wife of 19 years, Bette Driggers; a brother, James R. Driggers Jr. of Albuquerque; three children, Michael of Houston TX, Douglas and Marcia of Las Cruces, and Sharron Diaz of Houston, TX; three nephews, James and Frank Butler of Albuquerque, and James R. Driggers III of Benson, AZ; two nieces, Emma Lemmons and Suzette Driggers of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren, Tiffany, Oliver, Elizabeth, and Jeffrey. Roy Driggers was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Mae Driggers. Roy Driggers is also survived by his wife's children, Kathy and Jim Brown of Albuquerque, Patty and Jim Burns of Albuquerque, Jane and Tom Taylor of Las Cruces, Joe and Lisa Minnehan of Farmington, Mary Ann and Chuck Aldrich of Canyon City, CO, and Martha and Danny Holder of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren, Johnny, Lesa, Heather, Jennifer, David, Betsy, Annie Rose, Joseph, Allen, Nancy, Jackie, Kristie, Michelle, Brittany; and two great-grandchildren, Whitney and Colton. Roy Driggers honorably served his country in the Merchant Marines in World War II. After that, he returned to the family ranch, the Bar Y, in Santa Rosa, NM. In 1951, he joined the New Mexico State Police Department. He left the State Police as a Captain in 1964 and joined the Agency for International Development in Bogota, Colombia. He served in Nicaragua, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Guatemala. Mr. Driggers returned to his native New Mexico in 1975 and served as Assistant Director of the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe NM. He was under Sheriff in Bernalillo County under Sheriff James Jimmerson and later was appointed the 1st Sheriff of Cibola County by former Governor Bruce King. He then served three terms as Cibola County Sheriff before his retirement in 1988. A Rosary service was held at Fitzgerald and Sons Funeral Home at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 7, 2000. Funeral Services will be held at Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Road, at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 8, 2000. Pallbearers are James Driggers III, Richard Gilliam, John Montoya, Robert Driggers, Danny Holder, and Joe Minnehan. God saw you were tired and a cure was not to be. Jimenez -- Jennie Jimenez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully on April 6, 2000. She was loved by all family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jesus; her children, Annabelle Mora and husband, Edwin, Carol Dominguez, Thomas and wife, Maria, David and wife, Anna; and son, Mario; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Aubrey and Celina Jimenez, Sarah Dominguez, Marisa and Jaquelyn C De Baca, Edwin Mora Jr., Ariela, David and Carina Jimenez; and her very special Goddaughter, Gabriela Rodriguez. She is also survived by her sister, Andrea Trujillo; brother, Jerome and wife, Elva; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Jimenez will be held on Saturday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
