Norman -- Dr. Elizabeth Ann Norman, age 61, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2000 in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Fort Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1956. After raising three daughters, she returned to school, completing her BUS with distinction at the University of New Mexico in 1989 and her MA in Educational Foundations in 1991. In 1997, Dr. Norman received her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Norman and her husband moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1998 where she became an active participant in many community organizations. She continued her studies, learning French and studying Greece and Greek culture. She served as President of the Sun City Summerlin French Club, Chaplain of the Spring Mountain Republican Women, and was a member of the Valley of Fire Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dr. Norman was a lifelong member of Church of Christ. She and her husband lived and traveled throughout the world. Ann loved and was greatly loved by Jay, her husband and best friend for 42 years. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Other survivors include her daughters, Alecia J. Hunter and husband, Thomas of San Diego, CA, Joanna K. Norman and husband, Paul Tumarkin of Tucson, AZ and Delia F. Raymer and husband, Michael L. of Lansing, MI; parents, E.E. Stell and Ulean Stell of Forth Worth, TX; sister, Kathy Thurman and husband, David of Estes Park, CO; grandchildren, Tyler J. Wang and Sheamus Stell Hunter of San Diego, CA; nephews, Jason Thurman of Forth Worth and Norman Brinkley of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, Jennifer Anglen of Halfway, Missouri and Liesl Bergt of Anchorage, Alaska. Memorial Services for Dr. Norman will be Friday, April 14, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. at Church of Christ, 2323 Diamond Drive, Los Alamos, NM. Memorial may be made to American Heart Association in the name of Dr. E. Ann Norman. Greenwood Funeral Home, Ft. Worth, TX in charge of arrangements.
