JEZEK, GAIL LUNNEY PACKER Gail Lunney Packer Jezek graced the world with her beautiful presence on November 8, 1948. She was a fun, loyal, green chili, Posole loving sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, and friend. An inspiration to anyone that truly knew her. Gail left us Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10:24 am. Gail is survived by her daughter, Michele Jezek; daughter-in-law, Alicia Nolan; sister, Miriam Stout; brother-in-law, Dave Stout; and her precious granddaughter, Lilly Jezek. Also left behind are her beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. Gail will be safe and sound joined next to her parents, Barbara and Philip Packer; her brother, Sparky; and the love of her life, her amazing husband, Donald Jezek. A teacher aid at Queen of Heaven Catholic School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was proud to say she taught first graders how to read. She will be missed by all the students and staff. BROWN, RYO O. Age 84, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was born in Tagajo, Japan and lived in Sendai before coming to the States. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kimiko and Masao Obata; her husband, Frank H. Brown; son, Ralph Brown; granddaughter, Charlene Beyer; and sister-in-law, Frances Farrell. Ryo is survived by her loving children, Donald J. Brown, Sr. and wife Santana of Peralta, NM, Charlott Beyer and husband Ed of Santa Fe, NM, and Shirley Chavez and husband Paul of Rio Rancho, NM; her precious grandchildren, Cynthia, Santana, and Donald Jr. Brown. GRIFFO, DOUGLAS J. SR. Age 48, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since September 1976, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015. He is survived by his children, Amber Griffo and Douglas Griffo Jr.; mother Mildred Griffo; sister Deborah Gallegos; brothers Donald Griffo Jr. and Dominic Griffo Sr.; nieces Rebecca "chicken" McClain, Susan and Samantha Griffo; nephews Beau Woodward, Dominic Griffo Jr., Dustin Newsom, and Max Gallegos III. TORRES, JUAN JR. age 90, born in Salem, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away, February 16, 2015. Mr. Torres is survived by his children, Orlando Torres and wife, Diana, Armando Torres and wife, Stella, and Donald Torres; sister, Natalia Benavidez and husband, Oscar; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha; brothers, Ignacio Torres, and Henry Torres; sister, Ventura Martinez; and great-grandson, Tomas Gallegos. Mr. Torres was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII as a Combat Medic. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Patricia Muniz-Robert. MOYA, JACOBO "JACK" 1924-2015 Jacobo "Jack" Moya, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Jack graduated from Belen Schools and was a graduate from Harvard University. He was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus in Albuquerque, the Knights of Columbus and also very active in church and the community. Jack worked for the Belen Railroad and also for the America Center for International Labor Solidarity/ ALFCIO for many years of outstanding service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Henita Moya; daughter, Susan Moya Baca; grandsons, Ivan Torres and Daniel Torres; wife, Lee Moya; son-in-law, Pete Stracener; and brothers and sisters. Jack is survived by his daughters, Maryann Stracener, Frances Castillo and husband, Dimas, Helen Chavez and husband, Johnny; sons, Alex Romero and Albert Romero; sisters, Nancy Chavez and husband, Simon, Mary Rose Archuleta and husband, Joe; brothers, Rubin Moya and wife, Ester; 22 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. GUANCI, CAROLE LORRAINE Born August 25, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 72. Anyone who met Carole became her friend and she became their rock. She loved to throw a party and be surrounded by her friends; this was when she was happiest. If you asked her about her accomplishments she would say; I am a wife, mother and a grandmother. She did all three with perfection and her granddaughters loved her very much. She was preceded by her parents Michael Lutz and Ada Lutz. Carole is survived by her husband beloved Donald V. Guanci; daughters, Kimberly Nice and husband Richard and Nicole Guanci; granddaughters, Avery Nice and Barrett Nice as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her.
