BROOKRESON, CECILIA M. Passed away at the age of 100 on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was born in Big Wells, TX on October 2, 1914. Cecilia is survived by her daughter, son and one sister, eight grand- children and numerous great- grandchildren. CARLTON, ROLEY D. Carlton, Roley D. "Buster" passed away February 9, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born in Bromide, OK, in 1921, he was a WWII Veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre. As a longtime resident of Albuquerque, he worked in the grocery business for many years and loved to bowl. He was preceded in death by his wife Opal, and survived by his children, Sherry, Randy (Pam), Larry (Schelley); grandchildren Ryan, Jesse (Sylvia), Caitlin, Michael, Sam and Noah. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10,000 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Visitation is from 9:00-9:45 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am. A Graveside Service will immediately follow Memorial. COOK, MARY N. Mary N. Cook died February 11, 2015 in Rio Rancho. She was born to John and Mary on October 26, 1921, in Arkansas. She graduated from the University of Arkansas where she met the love of her life, E. T. (Tom) Cook. She was a loving wife and mother and a dedicated homemaker. After her children were older, she taught science at Jackson Middle School for a number of years. She was a loyal United Methodist and at her death was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. She had great zest for life, joy in being outdoors, and an enduring commitment to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter Mary Karen. She is survived by her daughters, Karen and husband Bob, Jeanne, Nancy, Melly and husband Brian; grandchildren Sara, Amy and husband Phil, Jennifer, Shannon and husband Grant, Holly and husband Matt, Cory and wife Hannah, MaryHeather and husband Aaron, Rebecca, and Kyle; an increasing number of great-grandchildren; three nephews; and numerous friends .The family thanks the wonderful people who helped care for her during her final illness. Services will be at St. John's at 2:30pm on February 21, 2015. The family suggests internet donations in lieu of flowers to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Heifer International, or the Rivers of Mercy Orphanage in Juarez.

OLGUIN, MARGARET Margaret Olguin, "Maggie," age 92, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Faustino Olguin, who passed away in July of 2014. Maggie is survived by her son, Toby, and wife, Katherine; her daughter, Kathy, and husband, Michael; special niece, Janna Lee; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. ORTIZ, FRANCES LACASSAGNE LUCERO 103 - a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on February 13, 2015. Born to Paul and Melinda Delgado Lacassagne on August 14, 1911, she was a granddaughter of Etienne Lacassagne, a French artisan recruited by Archbishop Jean-Baptiste Lamy to help construct the St. Francis Cathedral and Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Osmundo Lucero and Ambrosio F. Ortiz, and her sisters, Adelina Rivera Fresquez, Isabel Ortiz, Josina Romero, Lucy McCachren, Teresa Romero, Consuelo Lacassagne, a brother, Edward Lacassagne, son-in-law state Sen. Edward J. Lopez and granddaughters Elizabeth Anne Lopez and Karen Ortiz. She is survived by children, Rozella Lopez (widow of Sen. Lopez), Alicia Pino (Gilbert), Gloria Wells (Brian), Terry Lopez (Ted), Patrick T. Ortiz (Judy); grandchildren, Melinda Robbins, Edward J. Lopez, Jr. (Tara), Karen Walker (Corey), Kenneth J. Pino (Ryszard), Thomas J. Pino (Valerie), Ron Pino (Linda), Regina Ligon (David), Elaine Pino, Melissa Rutland (Erik), Jennifer Stagen (Neil), Adam Wells, Matthew Wells (Kylee), Amy Lloyd (Aaron), Kevin Lopez, Kenny Lopez, Keith Lopez, Kathy Lopez; her sister Viola Manzanares (Horace); and 27 great- grandchildren. She attended St. Francis School and Loretto Academy in Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Business College. She was a member Our Lady of Guadalupe (Santa Fe) Parish Council, the Catholic Daughters of America, Little Flower Reading Circle, Our Lady of Guadalupe Ladies Society, Holy Family Society, Altar Society, Perpetual Adoration Society, La Sociedad Folklorica and she taught CCD. Frances worked at the Santa Fe County Clerk's Office and the U.S. District Court as deputy clerk and later as personal secretary to Judge H. Vearle Payne. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Santa Fe at El Santuario de Guadalupe (the old Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church), 417 Agua Fria St., 87501. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 417 Agua Fria St., 87501, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015. Pallbearers are: Edward J. Lopez, Jr., Kenneth J. Pino, Thomas J. Pino, Ron Pino, Matthew Wells, Kevin Lopez, Kenneth Lopez, and Keith Lopez. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe.

PUTMAN, FORREST "PUT' Forrest, age 89, passed away on February 14, 2015. He was born on September 12, 1925 in Clarksville, GA and spent his childhood in Georgia, Ohio and Arizona. He graduated from Litchfield Park High School in Arizona and entered the Army Air Corps in 1943. He later graduated from Kirtland Air Force Base Bombardier School as a Second Lieutenant. Following his discharge, he attended the University of Arizona where he played and lettered in baseball. He graduated in 1950 with a Juris Doctorate Degree. He was admitted to the Bar of Arizona and also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. In October 1950, he entered the FBI and was assigned in New Haven, CT, New York City, Washington D.C. and Albuquerque where he served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge and later as Agent in Charge for the State of New Mexico. He retired in 1980 and formed a private investigation firm, Maximum Security Agency until 2009. Forrest, fondly known as "Put" was active in the Albuquerque community, serving on the following boards: Crimestoppers, the One Hundred Club, Albuquerque Sports Hall of Fame; was a member of Rotary, ASIS and the Lobo Club and was a Shriner, a Royal Jester and was instrumental in establishing many charity golf tournaments. He leaves behind these families who loved him dearly. VIGIL, GILBERT JOSE born in Martineztown on October 21, 1950 went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2015. As an attorney, Gilbert served the disadvantaged and was a zealous advocate for civil rights. Gilbert is survived by five siblings; four children: Christina, Martin, Lisa and Jenny; and four beautiful grandchildren. He also mentored, loved, and raised countless others like his own family. A memorial service in honor of Gilbert's life will be held Friday, February 20th at 6:00 p.m. at Garcia's Mortuary, 717 Stover S.W. Graveside funeral service on Saturday, February 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in the Rose Garden, 924 Menaul N.E. followed by a reception. Family requests donations in lieu of flowers.

WHITEHOUSE, CHARLOTTE JOY Age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015. She is survived by her two sons, Alan Whitehouse and Ed Whitehouse and wife Charlene; granddaughters, Kellie and Megan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Allyn Whitehouse. The joys of Charlotte's life were her husband, sons and granddaughters.
