Alexander -- Larry Alexander, age 56, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2002. He was a resident of Albuquerque. He is survived by his son, Larry Alexander Jr.; sisters, Delois Coats and Clara Bryant; brothers, Earmer Alexander Jr. and Glen Alexander. Visitation and Service will be held at Metropolitan Temple Church of God In Christ, 1120 2nd St. NW., at Mountain Rd. The visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2002¯ from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor L Keith Jones will officiate. Jones -- Mary Lucille Jones, 90, of Belen (most recently of Pflugerville, Texas) died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, September 24, 2002. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen. Jones, a native of Texas, was born June 21, 1912. She grew up in Oklahoma,where she met her husband, Harry L. Jones. They were married in 1930 and moved to New Mexico in the early '40s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and son, Eddy. She taught her children and grandchildren to have faith, work hard, and take care of their health. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Kenneth Trinkle of Newport News, Va.; her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Dori Jones of Pflugerville, Texas and Dr. Jerry and Geri Jones of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Nadine Blocker of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Jones -- Helen L. Jones, 96, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 15, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Cecile Hawk and husband, John and Julia Sanchez and husband, Chester; seven grandchildren, James Hawk and wife Carol, Julie Boyack and husband, Curt, Jayne Hawk-Box, John Hawk and wife, Ann, Arlette Sanchez-Ross, Larry and Crystal Sanchez; 13 great-grandchildren, Gary Combs and wife, Nikki, Guy Combs and wife, Kari, Tiffany Boyack, Russell, Kristen and Justen Farr, Whitney and Brittney Box, Jadyn, Courtney, Conner and Andrew Hawk and Samantha Ross; four great-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grady Combs and Jordan and Kaylee Farr. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C. Ewell (Buck) Jones; and her parents, Justin and Julia Jones. Helen was born in Albuquerque on January 22, 1906. She graduated from Albuquerque High in 1922 and attended Western school for secretaries. Helen was employed with civil service. She worked for Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, and she and her husband owned and operated a grocery and service station in the north valley. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph¯s Hospital for ten years.¯Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rose Ann Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Larry D. Sanchez, James D. Hawk, John E. Hawk, Curt Boyack, John D. Hawk, Chester Sanchez and Crystal J. Sanchez. Viramontes -- Concepcion Viramontes, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away August 31, 2002, which was also his birthday. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Isabel Viramontes; daughters, Dolores Ferrel and husband, Larry, Theresa Viramontes, Corine Harlow and husband, Harvey, all of Albuquerque; son, Robert Viramontes and wife, Sharon of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Carmen Mormon of Barstow, CA, and Maria Jones of Victorville, CA; and brothers, Jose Viramontes of Albuquerque and Raoul Ponce of Victorville, CA. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 4, 2002, 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. Liebschwager -- Ronald Duane Liebschwager, age 59, a resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 30, 2002.¯ He is survived by his wife, Sheila Liebschwager of Albuquerque; daughter, Elise Jones of Georgia; sons, Ron Casper of Minnesota, Ricky¯ Liebschwager of Texas; step-sons, David Cleveland and Sammy Cleveland of Texas; step-daughters, Tacy Cleveland, Karla Kiser, and Theresa Cornelius of Texas; brothers, Richard L. Liebschwager of Arizona, and Ken Liebschwager of Nebraska; eight granddaughters; and five grandsons.¯ He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Viola Liebschwager; and brothers, Leland, Jim, and Loren Larry. Ronald worked as a mechanic supervisor or Poole Well service and spent most of¯ his life in the oil fields until his health forced him to retire.¯ He was a avid antique and classic car buff and the number one fan of John Force, NHRA Champion.¯Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Aspen Funeral Alternatives Chapel, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, Thursday August 1, 2002 at 2:00 p.m..¯ Interment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska. Calame -- Larry B."Papa Bear" Calame, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Sunday, June 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernie Calame of Albuquerque; daughters, Dolyn Jones and husband, Joey of Phoenix, AZ and Brenda Williams and husband, Greg of Albuquerque; grandson, Jerrett Williams of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Kyleigh Williams of Albuquerque; and many loving friends. Larry loved to travel, tell stories and was an avid race fan. He was kind and generous with a loving heart and had a soft spot for those in need. Larry was a proud husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend to many. He was always happy for other people's accomplishments. Mr. Calame served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Frisco Railroad and then worked for 39 years for TWA. After retiring, he worked at Spa and Billiard World. Services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2002, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Craig Davis officiating. Cremation will follow. Frei -- Rebecca (Becky) Ann Frei, born January 16, 1948 in Clovis, NM died suddenly on Saturday, April 27, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Oliver P. Frei; her sons, Lee Hightower, Sean Frei and his wife, Lynn; her mother, Thelma Jones; her mother-in-law, Mary T. Frei; stepson, Larry Frie; stepdaughters, Lori Carroll, Patti Scherer and her husband, Jack, Barbi Grace and her husband, James; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Janet Tafoya. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer and Sally Shirm; and her grandson, Patrick Timothy Mack. Becky has worked as a waitress in various establishments, including Andy's Restaurant, Loyola's Family Restaurant, and finally Vic's Restaurant. She took great pleasure in her work as a waitress, as she loved meeting and talking with people. She will be missed by her many regular customers who loved her dearly. She will be remembered as a fun-loving and giving person who cared a great deal about people. She particularly had a soft spot in her heart for the elderly and for animals, and would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Chavez -- Henry Eloy Chavez, 60, born April 7, 1941 passed away January 23, 2002 in the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Clifford Chavez and wife, Glenna, Dennis Chavez and wife, Joyce, Larry Chavez and wife, Mary, Mildred Prince, Rosie Wingfield and husband, Carl; nieces and nephews, David Chavez, Rachael Prince, Givonna Carter, Thomas Wingfield, Jivanna Mares, Tammy Jones Stacy Elliott, Troy Elliott, Nikkie Rose Holmes, Ted Bollinger, Max Bollinger, Janiah Sanders. His passion was dancing. He was loved by all those who knew him and will be missed by all. Rosary was held at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, on Thursday, January 24, 2002. Funeral Mass Services were held Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank friends & relatives for their support during our time of bereavement.
