Stafford -- TERRY LEE STAFFORD Black Coral Diver, Businessman SEPTEMBER 13, 1941-FEBRUARY 5, 2000Terry Lee Stafford, of Hawaii, died of a long illness Saturday afternoon, February 5, 2000, at his sister's home in Telluride. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 13, 1941, the son of James S. and Diana (Roth) Stafford. He spent his childhood, graduated from Highland High School and grew into adulthood in Albuquerque, NM. Terry continued his education at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, graduating with a degree in Business. He married Nina Cherry and they were the parents of a daughter, Fara Lee Stafford. Terry and his second wife, Deborah Lucas were the parents of a son, Travis James Stafford. He lived in Albuquerque, NM and Aspen, CO before making his home in Maui, Hawaii for 30 years where he was a black coral diver and the owner of two businesses: Kula Lime Company and Lahaina Graphics. At the time of his death he was living in Telluride, where he died at his sister's home. Terry's loves in life that brought him happiness and much pleasure were sailing, diving, surfing, skiing, and traveling the world. Survivors very grateful to have shared Terry's life are a son, Travis J. Stafford of Maui, Hawaii; one daughter, Fara Lee Stafford of Paia, Maui, Hawaii; his mother, Diana Stafford of Telluride; one brother, James S. Stafford of Albuquerque, NM; and two sisters, Vicki Farthing of Broomfield, CO and Susan Stafford Kerr of Telluride, CO. Terry was preceded in death by his father, James S. Stafford; and his younger brother, Geoffrey C. Stafford. Cremation has taken place and his family will scatter the cremains at sea at high noon in the Lahaina Harbor at Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.

Degroff -- Andrew Harrison DeGroff, age 92, died Wed. 2/9. Formerly of Little Genesee, NY, he had been living in Albuquerque since 1994. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances A DeGroff (Albuq); his brother, Jerald S. DeGroff and wife, Leta (Alfred Station, NY); and sister-in-law, Rhoda DeGroff (Panama City, Fl). He was preceded in death by his brother, James A. DeGroff; and his son, Brian J. DeGroff. He is survived by daughters, Kay Stone (Albuq) and Meg Smith and husband, Richard (Spencerport, NY); and daughter-in-law, Linda DeGroff (Athens, GA), son-in-law, Jim Stone (Albuq). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Leslie Stone Firkins and husband, Jim (Albuq), Kevin Stone and wife, Stephanie Richardson (Albuq), Andrew and Kristen Smith (Spencerport, NY); and three great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank everyone at Manor Care Camino Vista for all their kindnesses and caring.

Hottenroth -- James H. Hottenroth, 88, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000 after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Hottenroth; three daughters, Theresa Hottenroth-Hetsko and husband, Cyril, MD, Madison, WI, Catherine Kummet and husband, Kenneth, Woodbury, MI, and COMDR. Marian Moe and husband, Andrew, El Centro, CA; one son, James J. Hottenroth and wife, Liese, Steamboat, CO; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Luke, Nancy, Andy, Jr. Kristin, Tess, John, Kim, Sarah, Angela, Jennifer; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish, on the committee of New Mexico Alter Society, Catholic United for the Faith, Legion of Mary, Rite of Life, Knights of Columbus, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Hottenroth entered West Point in 1938, graduating first in his class in 1942. He served his country in the US Army, serving actively in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, he retired in 1969 with the rank of Col. He was remarkable for his love of God, love of his family, and love of his country. He served all with honor, dignity and courage. Visitation will be held at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, Friday at 1:00 p.m., the family will receive friends between 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Michael, Luke, Nancy, Andy, Jr. Kristin, Tess, John, Kim, Sarah, Angela and Jennifer. Chung -- Han-Hee Chung, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years, died Monday, February 7, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Miki Broder and husband, Richard and Poong-Won Kim and husband, Dong S., all of Albuquerque; sons, Danny Chung and wife, Eun-Kyung and Jim Chung and wife, Mary, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tina, Mike, Kim, Helen, Sean, Michael, Eugene, Clara and James; great-grandchildren, Rick, Shannon; sister, Han-Pong Kim; and many other family members and friends. She often helped her children at the Fortune Cookie Restaurant, and the Samurai Grill and Sushi Bar. Services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Moonpill Chung officiating. Perea -- Mrs. Rosemary Perea, 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2000. She was called home after 21 years of her illness. As a member of San Jose Catholic Church, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesus Trujillo. She is survived by her husband, Arsenio Perea of 43 years of marriage. They had one daughter, Cita and son-in-law, Ralph Anaya. Their grandchildren are granddaughter, Emily Werley and great-grandson, Julian Gallegos, and grandson, Arsenio and Michelle Anaya, and a great-granddaughter, Mariah. Rosemary had one son, Mariano"Steve" Perea and daughter-in-law, Prescilla Perea and her granddaughter, Jeannette and husband, Adam Cuevas. Rosemary Perea was expecting her third great-grandchild. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, brother, Willie and Kate Trujillo, sister, Helen and Johnny Yannie, brother, Felix Trujillo, brother, James and Elda Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces and nephews; only one surviving aunt, Cora Sylvia of Downey, CA; and one only surviving cousin, Connie Roybal. She also had a lifelong friend, Marci Hernandez. Funeral services for Mrs. Perea will be held on Friday at the San Jose Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arsenio Anaya, Adam Cuevas, Abie Trujillo, Michael Trujillo, Edwin Yanni, Gabriel Trujillo, James Trujillo Jr., and Robert Gallegos. Visitation for Mrs. Perea will be held on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. Serna -- Mary R. Serna went to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday, February 4, 2000. She was born June 1, 1921 in Calvert, TX to Severo M. and Maria Ruiz. Her loving husband, James H. Serna, preceded her in death. She is survived by her five children, Fred R. Serna, Mary C. Serna, Bernie R. Serna and wife, Linda, Rosario Nieto and husband, Eddie, Marie Serna and fiance, Rene Toledo, all of Albuquerque; brother, Eulalio Ruiz of Albuquerque; sisters, Ramona Walker of Bar Harbor, ME and Florence Angel and husband, Raymond of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Orlena, Mary Ruth, Gabriel and Stephen Serna, Rachel Sotelo, Jimmy, Johnny and Sarita Nieto; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the following for all their unselfish time and effort in caring for our mother, Vera Moravek, the Home Health Aide, Theresa Padilla, Patricia Serna, and Theresa Torrez, the wonderful and helpful staffs of Presbyterian Hospice, and Dr. Richard Guidice's offices. Stagg -- Dr. Harry Stagg, 101, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Sunday, February 6, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Tope and husband, Dwight and Marcia Cantrell, both of Albuquerque; grandsons, Rock Tope and wife, Debbie, James Cantrell, Stephen Cantrell and wife, Beth, Tom Cantrell and wife, Geri, all of Albuquerque, Chris Tope and wife, Dee of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jack Cantrell and wife, Laura of Rio Rancho; granddaughters, Carol Ramel and husband, Greg of Alamogordo; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Basil Stagg of Ball, LA. Dr. Stagg was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Rock Stagg in 1999. He was the Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Gallup from 1925 to 1938; was Executive Director of the Baptist Convention of NM from 1938-1968, and was the Executive Director Emeritus; was the driving force behind the establishment of Glorieta Baptist Assembly; was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albuquerque since 1938; was a member of the Rotary International since 1927; was a past District Governor, a Paul Harris Fellow and a Clinton Anderson Fellow; was a past member of the American Legion; was a member of the D.A.V.; served as District Chaplain for V.F.W.; and received the French Legion Medal of Honor. Services will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, Joseph B. Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Stephen Cantrell, Tom Cantrell, Rock Tope, Chris Tope, Aaron Coffey and Jack Cantrell. Glascock -- Charles William Glascock, a resident of Los Lunas, born on June 27, 1936 in Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 6, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Aleen Parks Glascock; two sons, James Van and Charles Dwyne Glascock. He is survived by his daughter, Mari"Cathy" Sandoval and husband, Rodney of Los Lunas; sons, Billy Glen and wife, Ulva of Hawaii, William Michael and wife, Teresa of San Antonio, TX, Jeffrey Lane and wife, Carol of Albuquerque; one brother, Leaman and wife, Lucy of Van Der Wagan; two sisters, Mary Bowker of Capitan and Laura Knoblock of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two special friends, Jim Queens and Glenn Westfall. Glose -- Eleanor P. Glose, age 90, passed away Monday, February 7, 2000. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, coming here to make a home with her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Winifred Glose of Albuquerque; sons, Richard A. Glose and wife, Patricia of Bethlehem, PA and Charles T. Glose III and wife, Rose of Long Beach, CA; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Barbara Andrews of Lancaster, PA. Mrs. Glose was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Glose Jr. in 1947; her grandson, William in 1988; and her great-grandson, James Richard in 1987. At her request, no services will be held. Jett -- Helen Driscoll Jett, age 94, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday morning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Jett in 1974. She is survived by her sons, James (Pete) and wife, Vangie of Los Alamos, Michael and wife, Barbara Caracci of Chicago, IL, Dennis and wife, Lynda Schuster of Atlanta, GA, and Paul and Jane Norman of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Stephen and Brian Jett, Kathleen Griego, Allison MacNabb, Andrea, Catherine, Christopher and Noa Jett; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Griego; sister, Jean Engel of Framingham, Mass.
