Obituary for Perea

Mrs. Rosemary Perea, 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2000. She was called home after 21 years of her illness. As a member of San Jose Catholic Church, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesus Trujillo. She is survived by her husband, Arsenio Perea of 43 years of marriage. They had one daughter, Cita and son-in-law, Ralph Anaya. Their grandchildren are granddaughter, Emily Werley and great-grandson, Julian Gallegos, and grandson, Arsenio and Michelle Anaya, and a great-granddaughter, Mariah. Rosemary had one son, Mariano"Steve" Perea and daughter-in-law, Prescilla Perea and her granddaughter, Jeannette and husband, Adam Cuevas. Rosemary Perea was expecting her third great-grandchild. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, brother, Willie and Kate Trujillo, sister, Helen and Johnny Yannie, brother, Felix Trujillo, brother, James and Elda Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces and nephews; only one surviving aunt, Cora Sylvia of Downey, CA; and one only surviving cousin, Connie Roybal. She also had a lifelong friend, Marci Hernandez. Funeral services for Mrs. Perea will be held on Friday at the San Jose Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arsenio Anaya, Adam Cuevas, Abie Trujillo, Michael Trujillo, Edwin Yanni, Gabriel Trujillo, James Trujillo Jr., and Robert Gallegos. Visitation for Mrs. Perea will be held on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
