LAREDO -- Richard Jose Laredo, 76, born on February 15, 1931 in Tucumcari, NM and a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Bernice of the family home; daughter, Maria Elena Laredo-DeArmond and husband, James (Bob-O); grandson and best friend, Joseph Richard DeArmond and godson, Gabriel Flores all of Albuquerque; sisters, Barbara Centeno and husband, Celestino, Helen Varela, Hope Bruno and husband, Carlos, and Natalie Lopez and husband, Ruben; brother, William Laredo and wife, Mary Jo; sister-in-law, Blandina Laredo-Cordova. Richard is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doroteo and Elena Laredo; brothers, Fernando and Frederico; and sisters, Elvira, Consuelo and Maria. Richard was a long time member of St. Therese Catholic Church; VFW Post 401 where he was a manager for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Richard was famous for his pineapple upside down cake. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a hero to all, everyone looked up to him. Richard will be remembered in our hearts always and forever. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 27, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th Street and Candelaria. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A reception in Celebration of Richard's life will follow the interment at St. Therese Parish Hall. The family would like to thank everyone who stood vigil by Richard during this difficult time. AUGE -- Mrs. Domitilia Auge, 96, a resident of Belen passed away on November 13, 2007, and is now in heaven with our Lord. Mrs. Auge is the beloved sister of Rafaelita Silva, Mary Atencio, Esther Flores, Eloy Sandoval and wife, Maida, Daniel Sandoval and wife, Rosalie. Mrs. Auge is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Reina Sandoval, Emma Sandoval and Flora Sandoval; special friends and caretakers, Mary Baca, Frances Chavez and Susan Carrasco; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Auge was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Felicita Sandoval; her husband, Roy Auge; her brothers, Henry, Albert, Jimmy, Ernest Sandoval; and brother-in-law, Eduardo (Lalo) Silva. Mrs. Auge was a member of the Catholic Church and retired from teaching after forty years having taught both in New Mexico and Michigan. Visitation for Mrs. Auge will be Friday, November 16 , 2007 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church in Belen, New Mexico from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Steven Schultz, presider. VIGIL -- - Gilbert Carlos. Our Little Angel, Gilbert Carlos Vigil, 13 months old passed away on September 27, 2007, with his loving family by his side and is now in Heaven with Our Lord. Gilbert is the beloved son to Gilbert A. Vigil and Angelica M. Gallegos. Gilbert is also survived by his loving grandparents, Sandra Flores La Brake, Steve Gallegos and Mary Moya; great-grandparents, Martin and Patricia Flores, David and Connie Gallegos, Gilbert Vigil Sr. and wife, Julia; aunts, Rebecca Gallegos, Alysia Flores, Ashley Sanchez and Mari Moya; uncles, Benjamin Lopez, Joseph Vigil and Kenneth Little Dog; several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gilbert was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gilbert Glenn Vigil, and his cousin, Joseph Felix Vigil. Visitation for Gilbert will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the New Beginnings Church, 3601 Montgomery, NE with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Richard Mansfield. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; four children, Orlando Rene, Jr. (23), Mary Margaret (7), Sally Rene (5), and Michael Rene (4); his parents, Sam and Mary Flores; nine siblings, Richard, Bobby Ortiz, Dolores Vigil, Bella Aragon, Jimmy Flores, Katherine Flores, Cecilia Flores, Sammy Flores, Teresa Esquivel, Racheal Sanchez, Leo and Alfred Morris; eight aunts; ten uncles; 32 nieces and nephews; and 24 grand-nieces and -nephews; mother-in-law, Sally Gallosa; sister-in-law, Sally Ann Gallosa; brother-in-law, Richard Gallosa; and countless cousins and friends. FLORES -- Victor Flores, 81, passed away June 13, 2007 at the Guadalupe County General Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born June 13, 1926 in Puerto de Luna to the home of Cipriano Flores and the former Paublita Montoya. He was reared and attended grade school in Puerto de Luna and high school in Santa Rosa. He married Otilia Garcia on December 22, 1952 in Vaughn at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. He worked construction in Arizona and California for several years. After returning to New Mexico he worked for the New Mexico Game and Fish Department until his retirement in 1985. He then made his home in Puerto de Luna, next to where he grew up. He enjoyed ranching and farming in the Puerto de Luna valley. He was well known for his hard work ethic and had many friends throughout the county. He was very active in the Puerto de Luna Senior Citizens Center and could be seen there everyday for lunch and then playing games with his friends afterwards. He was a lifelong member of the Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto de Luna and for the last several years enjoyed helping organize and coordinate the annual Puerto de Luna church fiestas which are held annually in July. Last year he was the Grand Marshall for the Fiesta Parade in Puerto de Luna. Many people will remember that he would like to ride on his horse in parades. He was very proud to participate in homecoming parades, church fiesta parades, Santa Rosa Days parades, as well as other parades which were held in the area. For many years queen candidates used to borrow his pink convertible car for riding in parades. That also brought much joy to him. He was a life-long Republican and was elected to several county offices. He was on the school board that opened the new Santa Rosa High School for the 1965-66 school year. He also served as Guadalupe County Commissioner. He had the reputation of being one of the few Republicans to be able to win elections in a very strong Democratic County. He became a Democrat in 2000 to be able to help his son-in-law, Jimmy Moncayo in the primary election for Magistrate Judge. He even convinced his brother, Benny, to become a Democrat. Moncayo won and has been Guadalupe County Magistrate Judge since then. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five sisters and three brothers: Beatriz Salazar, Amalia Dodge, Leontina Chavez, Adela Espinoza, Josefina Flores, Manuela Flores, Alberto Flores, Honorato Flores, and Benny Flores. Survivors include his wife, Otilia of the family home; a son, Arnold (Elaine) Flores of Rio Rancho and Eileen (Jimmy) Moncayo of the family compound in Puerto de Luna; his grandchildren, Victoria and Virginia Flores, Brandon and Julian Flores, Brittney, Felicia and James,Jr. Moncayo, Renee, Steven, Megan, and Lauren. He is also survived by one sister, Arcelia Abeyta of Santa Rosa; and one brother, Filomeno (Erlinda) Flores. He is also survived by a niece who was raised as a sister, Margie Abeyta of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are his brothers- and sisters-in-law; Ted Garcia and wife, Ramona, Andy Garcia and wife, Carmen, all of San Diego, CA, Larry Garcia and wife, June of Ruidoso, Lee Garcia and wife, Tina of Vaughn, Luperto Garcia of Alamogordo, Richard Garcia of Vaughn and Susie Baca, also of Vaughn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary Services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from Nuestra Senora De Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. also from Nuestra Senora De Refugio with Father Gerald Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora De Refugio Cemetery also in Puerto De Luna. Serving as pallbearers will be Romie Maestas, Johnny Marquez, George Ortega, Ramon Gallegos, Lalo Padilla, Merle Guinn and Frank Madrid. PEREA -- Mela G. Perea, age 80, passed away on April 22, 2007 at her residence in Santa Rosa, following an illness. Mela was born August 21, 1926 in San Angelo, TX to the home of Luis and Dilia Velasquez Gonzales. She was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Mela married Juan De Dios Perea on April 27, 1946, in Santa Rosa. She loved cooking, praying the rosary, and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, where she was active in the Sacred Heart Society, Las Hijas de Maria, and was also involved with the St. Josephs Guild when her children were attending St. Rose School. Mela was a loving and caring person who always took the time to sit and visit. She catered countless funeral meals for grieving families, cooked for weddings and parties, and worked for many years in the food booth at St. Rose Fiesta. Mela was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will truly be missed by all her family and friends. Mela is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Juan De Dios Perea; children; Glibert A. Perea and Adelina Lopez; and her brother Richard Pacheco. Survivors include her children, Maria I. Perea, Dilia Ulibarri, Rosalie Perea and Johnny all of Santa Rosa, Jane Sanchez and husband Reyes of Las Vegas, NM, Gloria Gage and husband Ronnie of San Juan, TX, Lucy Flores and husband Ken, Barbara Sena and husband Early, Betty Joe Moncayo, John F. Perea and wife Veronica, Richard Perea and wife Julia all of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are her sister; Josie Roybal and husband Augustine of Santa Fe; sister in laws Suzie Pacheco of Santa Fe and Yolanda Aragon and husband Ernie of Tucumcari; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary Services will be held on Monday, April 23, at 3:00 p.m. from St. Rose Church led by the Sacred Heart Society. A second Rosary will be recited on Monday evening, at 7:00, also from St. Rose Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m., with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St.Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lawrence Sanchez, Francisco D. Flores, Kenneth J. Flores, Anthony Moncayo, Joseph Lopez, Ricardo Sena, Juan Perea and Ronnie Gage. GARDUNO -- Donald Garduno, age 41, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and brother was called by the Lord to Eternal Life, Friday, April 20, 2007. He was a resident of Albuquerque, and was a member of the Catholic Church. Donald is survived by his wife Erna Garduno; his loving children, Stephanie Garcia, Robert Garcia and wife Angela, Juliane Garduno, Donald Garduno. Also surviving are four brothers, Dave Garduno, Rick Garduno, Manuel Garduno, Tony Garduno, three sisters, Irene Hainey, Olivia Garduno, and Sylvia Cordova, and five grandchildren. Donald will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Visitations will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary.
