Claycomb -- Dale Emory Claycomb, 50, passed away on January 29, 2003. He is survived by five children, Danny Claycomb, David Claycomb, Sharon Cordova, Stephanie White-Claycomb, and the love of his life, six year old, Alexandria Morgan Claycomb; one brother, Frank Claycomb; and one niece, Naomi Claycomb. He will be greatly missed by his very close friend Giovanna Marchese-Claycomb and all of his partners and co-workers at Sandia National Laboratories and the University of New Mexico Lifeguard Trauma Team. Dale was the Director of Emergency Medical Services at Sandia National Labortories and a Flight Paramedic at University Hospital. Dale also served in the United States Air Force. Dale's passion in life was spending time with his daughter Alex and in particular riding their horse"Katie" together. Alex helped her Dad feed Katie everyday. Alexandria was the apple of her daddy's eye and he was her hero. There will be an Honorary Eulogy Service, Sunday, February 2, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 3, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. N.E. Atencio -- Frances M. Atencio, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977 and formally of Espanola, NM. She is survived by her daughters, Vicenta Rivera of Espanola, NM, Rose Martinez and husband, Richard, Sylmar, CA, Lorraine Baker and husband, W.T. of Las Cruces, NM, Bernie Montoya and husband, Manuel of Albuquerque, and Clara Maestas of Albuquerque; sons, Robert Atencio and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque; Gilbert Atencio of Espanola, NM, John Atencio and wife, Michele of Kent, WA, and Marcial Atencio of Espanola, NM; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Cordova, Sister Felicia, Celia Barela and husband, Roque, Clora Archuleta and husband, Juan D.; and brother, Mariano Maestas and wife, Stella; brother-in-law, Luis Atencio and wife, Frances; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marical Atencio and daughter, Mary Ann Gonzalez. Mrs. Atencio was a 25-year member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she was very active. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 29, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 30, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Father Arkad Biczak, Celebrant. Esquivel -- 5/31/28 - 1/24/03 Angela"Angie" Esquivel, 74, a resident of Belen, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2003. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Angie's family was her life and her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Leon on February 19, 2001; her parents, Baltazar and Maria Hernandez; and she was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Angie is survived by her three children, Tom and his wife, Betty; Johnny and his wife Dolores, all of Belen; and Martha Esquibel of Albuquerque; her four grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Buffeyann; Mary and Justin Esquibel; Melissa Chyo and her husband, David; and one great granddaughter, Makayla Maria Cordova; four brothers, Frank; Joe; Raymond; and Guadalupe Hernandez, all of Pampa, TX; four sisters, Mary Ellen Rodriguez of Pampa, TX; Lucy Cobb of Houston, TX; Becky Erickson of Moore, OK and Elizabeth Hernandez of CA. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws. A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2003 at Romero Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Robert Sanchez reciting. A funeral Mass will celebrated on Monday, January 27, 2003 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. with Father Tom Greeney officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 12:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Michael and Buffey Esquibel; David Chyo; Mary and Justin Esquibel and Toby Hernandez. Mendoza -- Helen M. Mendoza, age 49, passed away January 19, 2003. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and friend. Helen had a love of animals. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Louie Mendoza; four children, Louie Mendoza Jr. and wife, Liz Cordova, Donna Mendoza and husband, Anthony Tapia, Angelica Mendoza and Tovias Mendoza; father-in-law, Tony P. Mendoza; four grandchildren Antoinette, Elisa, Richard, and Louie Gilbert Jr.; three brothers, Toby, Albert and Jerry; four sisters, Sylvia, Ramona, Laura, and Toni; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Varela -- Juanito Lorenzo Cordova Varela passed away on January 6, 2003. He is survived by his parents, Juan Varela and Veronica Cordova; and several other family members. He was loved even before he was born. He will always live in the hearts of his mom and dad. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. Moralez -- Mr. Robert (Wapa) G. Moralez died Monday, December 30, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 55. Mr. Moralez is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Inez Moralez, and brothers, David, Frank and Anthony Moralez. He is survived by his daughter, Frances Moralez; brothers, Wilfred and wife, Barbara, Albert and wife, Lorraine, Toby and wife, Marcella, Chris and Joe Moralez; sisters, Corrine Moralez, Mary Silva and husband, Joe, Juanita Martinez and husband, Peter, Flora Vi Dera and husband, Efran, Gloria Moralez, Erlinda Cordova, Josie Ponce and Sally Padilla; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services for Mr. Moralez will be held on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery. Peralta -- Nep P. Peralta, 75, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2002 in Beaumont, Texas. Nep was a native of La Joya, New Mexico and a retired representative for the machinist union. He is survived by one son, Larry Peralta and his wife, Dolores of Beaumont, their children Emma Rose and Matthew; daughters, Linda Peralta of Houston, her son, Sean Saulter, Millie Cordova of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her children, Romy, Vicky and Michael, Sally Clark of South Carolina, her children, Gary, Steve and Shannon and Nancy Peralta and her child, Crissy; several great grandchildren; brothers, Fedencio Peralta and his wife, Blondina of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Louie Peralta and his wife Sophie of Barstow, California; and sister, Drucilla Trujillo and her husband, Herman of Bosque, New Mexico. Mr. Peralta was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret"Mickey" Peralta and his parents, Herminio and Frances"Kika" Padilla. Memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2003 with burial at Belen Catholic Cemetery.
