Reichert -- James William Reichert, our beloved father and grandfather, died on February 18, 2003, after a short illness. He was born in Texas on August 2, 1918, the son of Johannes Reichert and Vera Mangham Reichert. He was a Veteran of World War II, when he served as a B-17 gunner in the United States Army Air Corps. He also saw service in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean conflict, when he was recalled to active duty as a trainer. After concluding his military service and completing his studies at the University of Texas, he worked as a mathematician and computer programmer at Convair Corporation, the Defense Atomic Support Agency, and the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. He is survived by his children, Joseph William Reichert; daughter-in-law, Mar°a Ofelia Reichert; daughter, Mary Alice Reichert; and son-in-law, Dennis Kirsch. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Seaman E-3 Joseph William Reichert, Juana Inez Reichert, Nicholas Kirsch, Alexandra Kirsch, and Anastasia Kirsch. A Mass of Resurrection will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Albuquerque. A family service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at the cemetery adjacent to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, near Carthage, Panola County, Texas. The Hawthorne Funeral Home of Carthage, Texas will be in charge of the latter arrangements. We remember our father for his kindness, the energy and optimism which stayed with him to the end of his life, and for the many hours he devoted to his grandchildren, who loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations to his favorite charity, the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Montana, 59004.

Katz -- K. Dianne Katz was born Thursday, September 11, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA. She died Friday, March 7, 2003 in Albuquerque, NM after a valiant battle with cancer. Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Walter Katz and stepfather, Alton Garner. She is survived by her mother, Lucile Garner; uncle, Tony Tagliaferro; aunt, Jenny McNeil and numerous cousins, friends and colleagues. Dianne attended and graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in Albuquerque. She was longtime member of St. Charles Borremo Church. Dianne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico in June, 1969 and from the School of Law in May 1972. She was admitted to practice law in August 1972. Dianne was presented the UNM School of Law Dean's Award on April 27, 1972, for"unselfishly giving of her time and energies in the service of the students, the faculty, and the School of Law." Dianne served on the Board of Directors of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico. In 2000, the New Mexico Women's Bar Association presented Dianne with the"Golden Hammer Award" for her meticulous building of the Habitat for Humanity House. But for Dianne, many, many clients would have been without the exacting, dedicated representation to which she dedicated her life. Regardless of whether a person in need could never pay her, could only pay her $1, or, promised to pay her mere pennies per month, Dianne took care of all her clients in the same way-with all the love and care she had to give. The legal community is indebted to her. She was a member of Pilot Club since 1980, serving as Governor of the Southwest District of Pilot Club International in 1991. Dianne will be remembered as a unique and special person who touched the lives of her family, friends and clients. Rosary will be recited Sunday, March 9, 2003, 7:15 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, with Deacon John Russo reciting. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, March 10, 2003, 9:30 a.m., at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Fr. Robert A. Chabot, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Barker, Fred Wilson, Tony Tagliaferro, William Epler, John Chiado, Jr., Don D. Gonzales -- Jake Joaquin Gonzales, 87 of Albuquerque New Mexico, left this world peacefully on¯ March 6th to join his wife Jessie who preceeded him in death in 2001. Jake served in the U.S. Army in 1946 and received a Victory Medal. He was a very active member of the American Legion, he served as the Commander and Sergeant of Arms for Post 69. During his life he worked as a Welder, Furniture Salesman, Head waiter and retired as a Long Haul Truck from Illinois, California Express (ICX)¯where he was also active as a Teamster. Jake is survived by his children, Thomas, James, Richard and Carolyn Sandoval, his sisters Conception and Gregorita Gonzalez, and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitaions will be held form 2 to 5 p.m. at the Salazars and Sons Mortuary Sunday. A Rosary will be Sunday at 5 p.m. March 9th at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4th and Alameda, Funeral Service will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the church. Burial will Follow at the Santa National Cemetery. Christenson -- Geraldine F."Gerri" Christenson, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Brian E. Christenson; and son, Norton Payne Christenson.¯ She was associated with the Girls Scouts of America for over 80 years.¯ Mrs. Christenson also was a member of the Christian Women's Club of Albuquerque. Ashland -- Mary Catherine Ashland (Cat/Kay), 86, a long time resident of Albuquerque, was born on May 13, 1916, in Hindsville, AR to Joseph and Gertrude Phillips. She was called home on March 7, 2003, after an illness of heart disease. Catherine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward L. Ashland; two daughters and their spouses, Sharon Richards and husband Darrell of Watsontown, Pennsylvania and Linda Dotson and husband James of Albuquerque; and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Ashland of Eugene, Oregon. Catherine was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. Ashland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Phillip and Mark Ashland of California, Matthew Ashland of Oregon, James Holloman of Pennsylvania, and Jessica, Nichol and Stephanie Dotson of Albuquerque; and six great-grandchildren. Catherine was a long time member of Crestview Baptist Church of Albuquerque. She was a devoted wife and mother, tirelessly giving to help anyone in need. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Larzelere -- Bart Larzelere died on March 1, 2003. He was truly a bright star and overflowing spirit. Some highlights of his life were skateboarding, music (trumpet, baritone horn, flute), food service in Hawaii and at The Old House in Santa Fe, EMT work at the Espanola Hospital, reading, and poetry. He was a student at New Mexico Military Institute, Santa Fe Community College, and the University of New Mexico. He came to full life as he embraced conversations with friends and family. He had the greatest network of friends of anyone 26 years old. How he loved his grandparents, his mom and dad; cousins, aunts and uncles of many generations. He had the joy of knowing his great-grandparents, now deceased, Harry James and Eva Belle Grabert, formerly of Fountainville, PA. Bart was preceded in death by his grandma, Eva Krause Yerk Steeley and his grandpapa Benjamin Larzelere, Jr. He is survived by his loving mother and father, Beverly and The Rev. Benjamin Larzelere III, Santa Fe, NM; his loving friend Eliza Kretzmann, Santa Fe, NM; granddad,¯ Jacob A. Steeley, Sellersville, PA; grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Larzelere, Boca Raton, FL; aunt, Lynne; and uncle, Skip Getch, Boca Raton, FL; uncle Tim and aunt Deb Steeley, cousins, Jennifer and Andrew Steeley, Harrisburg, PA; Godmother Dianne Bryan Young, Brecksville, OH; and his extended family of great aunts and uncles and cousins; and many, many friends. Loeffers -- Mrs. Ravalee Loeffers, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 2, 2003.
