LOPEZ -- Reymunda Lopez, 93, of Corrales, was born in Casa Salazar, NM, February 18, 1916. She passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2009. She and the love of her life, Rupert Lopez, were longtime residents of Corrales, NM. When she was not working on the family farm with her husband, she was cooking, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren. Reymunda was preceded in death by her son, Joe Lopez; son-in-law, Enrique Aragon; great-grandson, Elijah Martinez; brothers, Jess and Emilio Lopez and her sister, Florence. She is survived by her loving husband, Rupert Lopez; daughter, Genova Aragon; son, Johnny Lopez; daughter, Theresa and husband Mike Wood; grandchildren, Reina, Reno, Christina, Anthony, Leticia, Andre, AutumnRey, Joe, Michelle and Jennifer; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Theresa, Aurora, Mita and Margie. Reymunda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. On October 29, 2009, Reymunda and Rupert would have celebrated their 70th anniversary. She will be missed and leaves behind wonderful memories of her life. God Bless. CALHOUN -- Marie G. Calhoun, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 after a long illness. She was born May 1, 1917 in Republic, Pennsylvania - one of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Calhoun; her daughter Linda Robinson; sisters, Mandy Lettrick, Catherine White, Louise Herholtz, and brothers, Johnny Peters and Delbert Peters. Marie is survived by her son, James Calhoun and wife, Ann, of Taylors, SC; a grandson, Dennis K. Lobley and his wife, Danyele; two great-grandsons, Andrew Chase and Wyatt Keith Lobley; sisters, Leone Corbeille, Margaret Malm, Regina Peters, Mildred Hines, Erna Craig; brother, Harry Peters; and 25 nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009, French - Wyoming Chapel, with Pastor Neal Ortiz officiating. She is preceded in death by her son, Joe Lopez; son-in-law, Enrique Aragon; great-grandson, Elijah Martinez; brothers, Jess and Emilio Lopez; and her sister, Florence. When she was not helping her husband on the farm, she would be would be sewing or have a hammer in one hand, a wrench in the other, and a shovel on the side. October 29, 2009, Reymunda and Rupert would have celebrated their 70th anniversary. She will be missed and leaves behind wonderful memories of her life. God Bless. GUTIERREZ -- Annie "Anita" Gutierrez, age 66, went into the arms of the lord and her Mama "Lala" on Thursday, July 9, 2009. She was born September 24, 1942. She is survived by her seven children, Anthony, Marie, Teresa & Johnny Tapia, Eva & Chris Chavez and the late Robert "Gordy" Gutierrez. Ten grandchildren, Angela, Shayna, Bobby, Salo, Angel, Leroy, Lorenzo, RJ, Adrianna, and Nicco. Five great-grandchildren, Ernest Jr, Rickey, Kenny Jr, Esseney, and Elias. Also survived by Christine, Gina, and her many brothers and sisters whom were also very special to our Mom "Nana." Honorable mention to a few other people whom remained day and night as our nana's special guardians at her bedside were sister Yollie, goddaughter De Anna, brother Jr, and niece Pamela. Annie had the strength and heart and love like no other, and anyone who knew her didn't have to look hard to see it. She opened her heart and arms to everyone she knew. She may be gone, but Never forgotten, forever she will remain in our Hearts! We Love You! A Viewing will be held on Monday July 13, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Rosary at Holy Family Church. ROWLAND -- Dorothy M. Rowland, 71, born February 13, 1938, in Carter Nine, OK, has found peace on July 7, 2009. Dorothy was a long time resident of Alb, NM. She is survived by her loving children, son Greg E. Thompson, and daughter Clydene A. Thompson. Five grandchildren, Gregory E. Thompson, Nicholas A. Thompson, Amy Breyer, Crystal Breyer, and Ariel Barnes. Two great-grandchildren, Jaylin Clark, and Lacy Baker. Dorothy is also survived by one brother, Johnny Rush, and two sisters Carmen Churchman, and Theresa Fitter; as well as our uncle Keith Thompson. Burial Services will be held in Maize, Kansas, on July 25, 2009. Our mother was the light of our lives, she will never be forgotten and forever in our hearts, her laughter will always be in our spirits and her strength in our blood and her love in our lives. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all that knew her but never forgotten. BECERRA -- Geronimo, "Jerry," Mr. Becerra went home to be with the Lord on Friday at the age of 87. Jerry was a proud Texan and was a big Cowboys fan. He was born in Stafford, Texas near Houston and spoke highly of his upbringing and working hard on the farm. He served in the US Army in World War II at Kirtland Field as an MP. He met his "Big Angel" Connie at Lindy's Cafe and then got married on December 3, 1945. He started working early in life at the Nob Hill Supermarket as a clerk and then moved on to work with the Albuquerque Public Schools where he retired after 24 years of service. Jerry was a God gifted carpenter who had built his own home in the Northwest Valley along with the help of other family members and he also helped build their homes. On July 3, 2009 his prayers were answered, when he went home to join his beloved wife Connie, who had gone ahead in 2004. He was preceded in death by a son Juan Becerra; sisters Petra Becerra, Tomasa Becerra; brothers Seledonio Becerra, Manuel Becerra; and his parents Juan and Cayetana Becerra. Jerry is survived by his children Roberto B. Becerra and wife Bernadette, Margaret Segura and husband Johnny, and Lydia Gurule and Frank Shaw; sisters Feliza Becerra, Lupe Rodriguez and husband Pilar and Rosie Lemos and husband Gilbert (deceased); grandchildren Rene Gurule, Robert Becerra, Gabriel Becerra, James Gurule, La Reen Ramirez and husband Alex, Marla Segura, Stephanie Martinez and husband Carlos; great-grandchildren Abrienna, Caryssa, Ashley, A.J., Emiliano, Marco, Amara, C.J., four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the 8th St. Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. GARCIA -- Aurelia "Bella" Garcia, 82, a resident of Sandia Park, beloved mother, grandmother and sister died Wednesday, July 1, 2009. She is survived by her children, Joe Garcia and wife, Cathy, Alex Garcia and wife, Cissi, Irene and husband, Jerry Armijo, Viola and husband, Rey Garcia, Alfred Garcia and wife, Martha, Ruben Garica, and Albert Garcia and wife, Victoria; three brothers and three sisters, Ben Lara and wife, Edna of Roswell, Esther and husband, Robert Sanchez of Chama, Beatrice and husband, Gilbert Kimbrall of Albuquerque, Helen Sanchez of Albuquerque, Danny Lara of Ruidoso and Billy Lara and wife, Dolly of California; 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Bella was preceded in death by her husband, Ermenio; parents, Fred and Cecilia Lara; brother, Joe; and two grandsons, Luis and Alex Garcia. She was born in Dexter, NM. Bella and Ermenio lived in Roswell, where their children were born. They came to Albuquerque in 1966, and lived in Sandia Park. Rosary will be recited Sunday, July 5, 2009, 6:00 p.m., at Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras. Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 6, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras.
