Jackson -- A.M. (Buck) Jackson, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died on Thursday, October 8, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Jackson was born on Monday, May 12, 1909 in Midland, TX. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joyce Jackson of Albuquerque; son, Bob Jackson and wife, Ruby of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Betty Tierney and husband, Daniel of Beeville, TX, Rosemary Stakvel and husband, Curley of Cedar Crest, Lee Jackson of Houston, TX, Paula Hayden and husband, Jeff of Albuquerque, Laura Wood and husband, Woody of Beeville, TX, and Rex Jackson and wife, Julie of Austin, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Jackson; and grandson, Jay Morgan Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Services will be held Monday, October 12, 1998, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. McAuley -- Eugene D. McAuley, born February 27, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, died October 7, 1998 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Leona; step-daughter, Michelle Chavez; daughters, Krista and Lauren; son, Andrew; sisters, Eunice Collins and husband, Don of Evanston, IL and Susan McCullough and husband, Mike of New York, NY; brothers, Jerry of New York, NY and Kevin of Evanston, IL; aunts, Brigid McCauley of Philadelphia, PA, Annie Ferry of Co. Donegal, Ireland; and uncle, Francis McCauley of Sydney, Australia. Mr. McAuley was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary, who emigrated from Ireland. In 1979, after obtaining a Masters degree from the University of New Mexico, he joined the staff of the Association for Retarded Citizens of Albuquerque (ARCA) where he worked until his death. At ARCA, Gene was instrumental in setting up programs crucial to improving the living standards of persons with disabilities. He was a board member of Alta Mira Specialized Family Services and a consultant to Casa Angelica. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Deacon Gilbert Valverde reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Thai, Trans, SSS, Celebrant. Posteal -- Albert Posteal, age 77, passed away on October 8, 1998. Mr. Posteal was born to Edward and Annie Mae Posteal on December 19, 1920 in Knox City, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Annie Mae Moss of Knox City, TX; his children, Dorothy Jean Niblett of Houston, TX, Tommy Joe Posteal of Midland, TX, Wanda Posteal of Houston, TX and Barbara Katherine Posteal of Houston, TX; his sisters, Lillie Mae Roundtree of Pasadena, CA, LaVada Thomas of Stamford, TX, Elnora Mallard of Ft. Worth, TX, Florence Hornsby of Stamford, TX, Ima Jean Session of Knox City, TX and Dollie Rogers of Ft. Worth, TX; his brother, John D. Taylor of Fairfield, CA; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Posteal and his son, James Albert Posteal. Mr. Posteal recently moved to Albuquerque from Altadena, CA. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 1998 at 12:00 PM at Sandia Funeral Care Chapel with Rev. John Hill officiating. Wagner -- Charles A. Wagner, 86, a resident of Las Vegas, NV, for 45 years, died on Friday, October 8, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Wagner of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Charlene Williams, Mary Wagner both of Cincinnati, OH, and Rena Swyers of Mansfield, MA; sons, William F. Wagner of North Mankato, MN, Thomas Wagner of Houston, TX, Martin Wagner of Hackensack, MN, and Michael J. Wagner of Tucson, AZ; brother, James Wagner of Brownsville, TX; sisters, Sister Maristella Wagner of Rockford, IL, and Mildred Emerson of Collegeville, TX; stepson, Fred Gray of Minnesota; stepdaughters, Randi Puyear, Colleen Nelson, and Theresa Harles all of Minnesota; thirty-four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Baca -- Amalia Baca, 87, a resident of Veguita, NM, passed away on October 8, 1998. She was a member of San Juan Catholic Church in Veguita. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evaristo and Luisa Baca; three brothers, Cristobal, Domingo, and Boleslo Baca; one foster sister, Anuncia Chavez. She is survived by one brother, Berada Baca of Veguita; one sister, Mary B. Sanchez and her husband, Felix of Belen; two nieces and two nephews who she raised, Dolores and her husband, Benny Cruz, Gilbert and his wife, Betty Baca, Lilly Baca, Paul and his wife, Melinda Baca. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She made her home with her niece, Lilly. Viewing will be held on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home, main chapel, in Belen. Rosary will be held on Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at San Juan Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m., with Father Bill Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at the Veguita Catholic Cemetery. Garnjost -- Charles (Chuck) Garnjost passed away on October 6, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born on September 17,1933, in Oakland, CA. He is survived by his wife, BJ; daughter, Kathy Sallee and husband, Steve; and two grandsons, Rick and Matt of Albuquerque and daughter, Pam Bortolussi and husband, Ron of Fremont, CA; and sister, Esther Evers and husband, Don of Pleasanton, CA. Chuck was a resident of Albuquerque from 1971-1976 when he was a Production Control Manager for Singer Business Machines. Chuck and BJ celebrated 42 years of marriage and have fond memories of camping, biking, traveling and bird-watching together. A memorial service celebrating Chuck's life will take place at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE on Friday, October 9 at 4:30 p.m. with Rev. Fred Dorisse officiating. Hudson -- Sallie"Aunt Daka""Kate" Hudson, 93, a resident of Albuquerque for more than 50 years, died Wednesday, October 7, 1998. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bill Clyne and wife, Carolyn of Hollywood, FL, Norene McGraw, Ruth Clyne, Ann Clyne, Sue Spear, all of Albuquerque, Jack Clyne and wife, Donna of Evanston, WY, and Linda Clyne of Houston, TX; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elma Clyne; sister, Jean Patterson; daughter, Pat DuPlonty; nephew, Wesley Clyne; and niece, Betty Frame. Conarty -- David Alain Conarty, 33, died Tuesday, September 29, 1998. He is survived by his parents, Colonel (Ret.) Roger and Anna May Conarty; three sisters, Sharon Lee Nesseth and husband, Darrel of Brighton, CO, Helen Madeleine Crouch and husband, James of Casper, WY and Micaela Ann Perkins and husband, Paul of Aurora, CO; and a brother, Murray Rogers Conarty and wife, Sandra of Allen, TX and their children. David was born December 8, 1964 at Elmendorf, AFB, Anchorage, AK. He attended grade school in Iranzamin School in Teheran, Iran and St. Charles Borromeo School in Albuquerque; and high school at Thomas More Prep in Hays, KS. He attended the University of New Mexico and one year at the University of Paris (Sorbonne) in Paris, France. David excelled in Track and Cross-Country running during his school years and later in Albuquerque competitions, and was a certified ski instructor. He was fluent in French and visited France for extended periods. David was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a selfless person who would do or give anything to assist anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by those who truly knew him. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE.
