CORDOVA, ROBERTO L. Age 80, of Rio Rancho, died Friday, July 26, 2013. If heaven could possibly be better, it is now. The Lord now has a great man by His side and without a doubt, will have His ear talked off. We have lost a great friend, and this world will never be the same without him. He is greeted by his son, Jaimie; mother and father; sister, Elsie; brother, Steve; cousin, Ross Anderson; and too many other friends and relatives to mention. He leaves behind Jennie, his loving wife of nearly 58 years; his daughter, Valerie; sons, Randy and Chuck; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He'll be missed so much. EOLIDE, ROBERT Robert Eolide was born in the California Mission City of San Juan Bautista in 1929. Robert passed away peacefully, at the age of 84, on July 20, 2013 surrounded by his family. Robert started working at the age of 16 at the Ideal Cement Company in San Juan Bautista. Robert married Shirley Ann Lucchelli on June 22, 1958. He moved his family to Albuquerque in 1973 when he was transferred from California to continue his work at Ideal Cement Company where he was a Chemical Analysist. Robert retired in 1991 after 46 years working with the company. During his retirement, some of Robert's hobbies were fishing, woodworking, watching football (a lifetime 49ers and Notre Dame Fan), gardening, and supporting his grandchildren at their sports games. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his three children, Linda Whited, Thomas Eolide, Laurie (Stephen Steele); his grandchildren, Valerie (Julian Apodaca), Craig Whited (Bethany), Ryan and Aaron Eolide; great grand-children, Darren and Gracie Whited; niece, Maria Elena Scott of Chandler, AZ; nephew, Michael and niece, Charlene Wilbur of Long Beach, CA and numerous additional nieces and nephews. GALLEGOS, JAMES Age 76, passed away Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 and he went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 29, 1936. James was a veteran Marine, a member of the American Legion Post 13 and a lifetime member of DAV. James is survived by his children: Jacqueline Britton of NV, Mark Gallegos of Albuquerque, Victoria Lapioli of Albuquerque, Randy Gallegos of MN; his brothers Jerry Gallegos and David Gallegos; sister Janette Roybal; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Jacinto Gallegos, and his youngest beloved son, Conrad Gallegos. His children would like to take this opportunity to thank and express their deep gratitude and appreciation to those caregivers involved with the care and comfort they provided him and to his many friends for their continued friendship and support during his life and final days. As were James wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services will be held. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, in the arms of the Lord, forever.

GARCIA, PETE Age 87, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013. He was born August 16, 1925, in Espanola, New Mexico to Tonita and Liberto Garcia. Pete was a life-long resident of Espanola. He is survived by his children, Patricia Hardy, Pamela Thomas and Paula Sims; sister, Lucia Hamiton; brother, Gilbert Garcia; grandchildren, Deanna Hardy, Christal Jones, Jamie Polaco, Jakob Polaco, Amy Sims, Randell Sims, Benjamin Thomas and Matthew Thomas; great grandchildren, Audreanna Sims, Aiden Thomas, Rory Thomas and Liam Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lucille Archuleta-Garcia and son Ronald Polaco. Pete's favorite past time activities included fishing, farming, playing with his dog and being outdoors. Pete was a loving and compassionate father, grandfather and friend with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. GOEBEL, DON ALAN (1957-2013) Don passed away at his sister's home on the morning of June 29, 2013, after suffering a long illness. He was a native Albuquerquean, and always vowed to never live anywhere but in New Mexico. Death took this gentle soul much too early at the age of 55. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. To say this was his passion only touches the surface. Family camping trips and scouting introduced him to the outdoors. Don worked at Groves Archery of Albuquerque as a teenager and he became very proficient with bow and arrow, winning many tournament trophies target shooting, and bagging much game as a devoted bowhunter. Don spent all of his free time developing these skills, making his own archery equipment and tying his own flies for fishing. He had many hunting companions and anyone who shared a camp with Don learned a great deal about their quarry and how to be successful in the hunt. Don loved New Mexico's wild places and explored the state from border to border. The stories of his adventures afield could fill volumes. Influenced by his mother's creative homemaking and his father's mechanical engineering and fix-it skills, Don could conceptualize and make almost anything with his own hands. These skills developed into art, and he combined his love for wildlife and keen dexterity into becoming an award-winning taxidermist, operating a small business out of his garage. Don was a perfectionist, a master of his craft, and his work was much sought after. Don has requested his ashes be scattered in the Battle Saddle, his favorite hunting spot in the Gila Wilderness. A September trip to the Gila is planned by his hunting buddies, with Don in hand, to celebrate his memory. Don was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Virginia Goebel, and his artist brother Rod Goebel. He is survived by his sister Vicki Goebel, his nephews Cedar and Ian Goebel, his ex-wife Susan Wright Goebel, and numerous Texas cousins.

HARPHAM, HELEN J. age 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2013. At age 98 she was still driving her car (without incident), traveling with her daughter visiting grandsons and granddaughter. Even as her physical health declined her indomitable spirit, positive attitude and winning smile were always with her. She will be remembered for her enthusiasm and energy in that little 5 ft. 2" frame, always running circles around everyone. She was born September 8, 1912 on a homestead in Buffalo, South Dakota. She led a long and blessed life and loved working. At age 12 her family moved to Washington state. Getting her "Beauty operator" license at age 17 she worked as a manicurist and hairdresser in Tacoma, Washington, where she married Garland Blakemore and had a daughter, Gayliene. World War II brought her to San Diego, California and work at Rohr Aircraft Plant. Later she worked for five years as a LPN. In 1952 she married Clarence Harpham and together they raised his daughter, Caroline and became ardent rock hounds and members of the San Diego Lapidary Society which included many road trips to California deserts and other states. Retiring in 1965 they moved onto their ten acres in Rogue River, Oregon where she lived for the next 30 yrs. They built a home, had a big garden and fruit trees, and became members of the local Grange. She won many blue ribbons for her canned foods and the Grand Champion ribbon for her crab apple wine. Even here she found jobs for her and Clarence working on a gladiola flower and bulb farm and became best friends with the owners. Clarence passed away in 1991 and she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1995. She took up quilting with her daughter Gayliene and together they made many beautiful quilts and were members of Pinon Quilters and Over the Mountain Quilt Guild in Edgewood, New Mexico. Again she found a job, this time volunteering at the Storehouse. All who knew her were charmed by her beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. She is survived by her daughters, Gayliene Guarneros of Albuquerque and Caroline and husband Charlie Maberry of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Jeniece and husband Don Shafer of Ft. Worth, Texas, Rich and Jeanne Guarneros of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Brian and wife Shannon of Evergreen, Colorado, Martin Guarneros of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Kristen and husband Tim Keller of Lakewood, Colorado, Kerryn and husband Dustin Pulciani, Kileigh Guarneros of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Kevin Guarneros of San Francisco, California, Teraisa Guarneros of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Josephine Guarneros of Evergreen, Colorado, Angelica Guarneros, Adam Guarneros and their mother Anne Quirk of Fargo, North Dakota; and great-great-grandchildren, Reagin and Madison Pulciani of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Helen was lovingly cared for by Francine & all the Staff at Bellamah House for assisted living, for which we will always be grateful. A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at the Albuquerque Meadows Mobile Home Park Clubhouse at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August. 3, 2013, located at I-25 and San Antonio, 7112 Pan American Frontage Road. Final interment will be in Medford, Oregon.

JONES, MARGIE LOUISE MARJORY L. JONES "JONESY" Margie (age 90) went with the Lord Jesus on July 24, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She passed from this life at home with her dear friend and caregiver at her side. She grew up in Alabama but called Albuquerque her home for the past 55 years. She was a loving nurse, always with a good joke who touched many lives. Her cremains will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with a Celebration of her Life pending at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church.

KEEFER, JANET ELAINE BRIDENSTINE 9/7/31 7/25/13, wife, mother, artist, teacher. Died of stoppage of the heart. Jan is now part of that great cloud of witnesses, resting in the company of Jesus, with all the dead in Christ who have gone before and where she waits for us to catch up. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Dorothy Bridenstine, her brother Bill Bridenstine, and her son Boyd Keefer III. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Boyd Keefer; daughters and sons-in-law Beverly (Keefer) and Tom Dow and Virginia (Keefer) and Dan Primozic; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson. KRUZEL, FREDERICK JOSEPH Longtime resident of Albuquerque, Fred Kruzel was killed in a traffic accident on 19 July, just a few days before his 84th birthday. As a boy, he fantasized about flying airplanes. In 1954 he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF. Fred served in the Air Force for 24 years as a pilot and served in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He was a Command Pilot of the B-52 currently displayed at the Atomic Museum in Albuquerque. Fred also piloted the T-6, B-25, B-36, C-47, and the F-100. Fred received numerous awards during his career including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Air Force Accommodation Medal and retired at the rank of Major. After retiring from the Air Force, Fred worked in the banking industry as the Vice President of retirement plans at Albuquerque Federal Savings and Loan. Fred was also very active in local radio control model airplane clubs. Fred is survived by his two sons, Rick Kruzel and his wife Kim of Corona CA and Mark Kruzel of Albuquerque; two granddaughters Lauren and Ashlynn; and his sister Stella Venard of Parkridge IL. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Kruzel (Evans) in 2008. Visitation will take place July 30, 2013, 6:00PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel at 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. LORIMER, THOMAS MICHAEL Passed away peacefully on his 63rd birthday surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was born in Minneapolis, grew up in Fremont, California, and spent most of the last 40 years in the place he loved to call home, Albuquerque. He is survived by his second father, Billy Swingle, the love of his life, Becki Lorimer, his two best accomplishments, Tommy (Shara) and Josh (Amy) Lorimer, and the pride and joys of his life, his four grandchildren, Lexie, Noah, Aden, and Jonah Lorimer. He also leaves behind his adored sister Sue (Guin) Boggs, niece, Amy (Mark)Dunn and his surrogate family Cindy (Frank) Tarry, Carrie Nelson, Ginny Stearns, Debbie (Allan) Rose, Renee Roberts, Steve (Kathy) Swingle, Adam Swingle, Heather Swingle, Bruce Swingle, Tenee Swingle, Kirstie Swingle, Melinda Weiser, Jonathan Weiser, Brandon Weiser, his loyal boxer companion, Leila, and many great nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom volunteered and spent a short time in the Navy during the VietNam War before moving to the southwest where he put down permanent roots. He met and married his wife of over 38 years, Becki, and they had their two sons, Tommy and Josh. Tom was the founder and charter president of the Rio Rancho JCs and was politically active in the local communities. He learned the trade of concrete construction from his father-in-law, Billy Swingle, which quickly became a life long love. He owned and operated a concrete construction company for many years before going to work for 10 years at The Noel Company. Being forced into retirement because of his health, allowed him the opportunity to farm on the land he loved so much in the South Valley. He enjoyed playing with all of his toys; his bad to the bone boat, his dear truck Jean, and all of his 4 wheelers and go cart. Tom was just a Simple Man because he had life figured out. He cherished every day, mentored by example without intention, knew which battles to pick, never utter a word without meaning, and loved with all of his heart. MCCLUNG, THOMAS EARL Age 80, passed away in his sleep after a long illness on Thursday, July 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Floyd, NM on December 5, 1932 to Roy and Ethyl McClung. He lived most of his life in Albuquerque, with moves to Hawaii and Texas. Thomas attended Eastern New Mexico University where he met his bride of 60 years, Fern Miller. He is survived by four children; daughters - Vicki Carr, Marla Carr (husband Kevin Carr), Lori Nutter (husband Scott Nutter); and son Scott McClung; brother Wayne; and the delights and joy of his life, seven grandchildren, Tasha Buttery (husband Justin), Kacey Carr (wife Bethany), Kody Carr (wife Katie), Lyndsey McClung, Tommy Nutter, Joey Nutter, and T. J. Nutter; five great-granddaughters, Olivia, Myca and Mia Buttrey, Sakora and Kaleah Carr. MITCHELL, ANN B. Ann, age 79, a fourth generation New Mexican, left this Earth to join her husband on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, surrounded by her family. Her passing followed a stroke on Sunday evening. She is survived by her children, Mary Katherine Rehm, Karen Mitchell (Neil) Johnson and Steven Charles Mitchell; granddaughter, Katharine Erinn Rehm; grandson, William Mitchell Rehm; grandson, Ryan Mitchell Johnson; sisters, Mary Sellers and Frances Morales. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John C. Mitchell; her parents, George and Kathryn Brock of Silver City, NM and her infant brother. Ann attended McMurray University on a music scholarship, graduating with a degree in Christian Education. After college she married John and moved to Albuquerque where she worked in several local Methodist churches as Director of Christian Education. Retiring from the church, she started Zia Travel Services with her family which later became A to Z Travel. She and John enjoyed many years of travel with their family and friends, as well as escorting numerous group tours. She was an avid reader, an enthusiastic gardener, a great southwest cook, an extreme chili addict, and a devoted mother and grandmother. PRATT, SCOTT Scott A Pratt passed away peacefully on July 19, 2013. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico on December 21, 1946. He was a devoted and loving father, brother, grandfather, and an incredibly giving friend to many. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with amazing marksmanship. His love and appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors was absorbed by all who knew him. His favorite past times included outdoor photography, cooking, wood cutting, gardening, ranching, and being in the Jemez mountains. He is survived by his three children Nathan Pratt, Stephanie Scott, Jamie Ulibarri; his sister Lisa Pratt; and his grand children Skyler and Dalton Pratt, Colton and Aspen Scott. He was preceded by his sister Deborah, mother Eleanor and father Philip. He will be greatly missed and loved by all his friends and family. SANCHEZ, NORA A. Nora A. Sanchez, age 92, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. Nora spent her entire life being an inspiration, example and mentor to her family. Nephews and nieces would seek advice from her and would lean on her big shoulders in times of need. Originally born in the community of Los Griegos, the Armijo family moved to south Broadway one block from St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the family worshipped. She went to Albuquerque High School after which she worked Downtown in finance and JC Penny. She and her sister, Frances loved to dance and loved to attend the Old Town dances with their mother as chaperone. In 1948 Nora and Ray married and bought their first home on Mountain Road where their first two children were born. They then moved to a new house on Manzano Street which to this day is still the family home. She was a wonderful cook and passed her talent on to her daughters. Christmas was special and full of New Mexico flavors of posole, chile colorado, chile con queso, biscochitos, empanadas, and old school chile rellanos, friends and family on Christmas Eve. As a devoted wife she loved and took care of Ray for 20 years who was ill with Parkinson Disease. She was with him faithfully till the day he died. She lost her only son on 2003 at the age of 47 and lost the twinkle in her eyes and suffered from a broken heart until her passing. She was a devout Catholic and was active in Our Lady of Fatima's Woman's Guild, even serving as President for one year. Her entire life was devoted to serving the Lord and being there for her children and grandchildren. We would like to extend our deep gratitude to St. Catherine's Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and The Hospice of the Sandias for their respect and kindness they showed Nora and her family. SCHROER, MILDRED Long time resident of Los Alamos and Albuquerque. Most recently from Rio Rancho. Mildred was employed at LANL 14 yrs and was active member of PEO and local golf and bridge groups. She was preceded in death by six siblings, husband John and son John Jr. She is survived by son James and wife Jane; grandsons Jeff and Jason; great-grandsons Maxwell and Bennett; daughter-in-law Marge; granddaughters Kim and Tammy; and great-granddaughters Christina, Melissa and Jordan. Mildred was interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe with her husband John.

SEABERG-BARNES, REBECCA Entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday July 22, 2013 after a courageous and fearless fight with lung cancer. Rebecca was born in Anchorage, Alaska on January 1, 1959 to John and Marian Seaberg. Her legacy lives on in her two daughters Aris and Marian as well as her husband John Barnes. She is also survived by her sister's Elizabeth Nixon and Katherine Laven of Minnesota. Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, father, and also her brother Gregg. Rebecca worked at Hope Christian School Business Office for ten years. During this time she created an indelible legacy at Hope Christian as she displayed her tireless love for the children there through the Cheer Leading program and its many community outreach programs. She also ran the infamous Dog House at the school and went out of her way to organize all of the school dances for Homecoming, Winter Ball and Prom each year. Through these programs she displayed an endless passion for serving the children through her steady hand and warm heart in Christ's love. Anyone who has interacted with Rebecca was drawn to her and can you tell you of her compassion, poise, and grace, no matter the situation. It is time for this true servant to rest in her Savior's arms. We will all remain strong and inspired through the legacy she left us. SHISHMAN, MARSHA ANNE Marsha, age 71, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born to Dr. Fred M. Sauerman and Mrs. Ethel M. Sauerman on March 30, 1942, in Moline, Illinois. Marsha is survived by her loving husband of more than 47 years, Tom Shishman of Albuquerque; her mother Ethel M. Sauerman-Sadilek of Albuquerque; her brother Dr. Richard Sauerman and wife Barbara of Albuquerque. Her children include son Scott Shishman and wife Debbie of Bloomington, Indiana; her son Michael Shishman and wife Courtney of LaGrange, Illinois; and her son Greg Shishman of Seattle, Washington. Her six grandchildren include granddaughter Megan, grandson Matt, and granddaughter Maria of Bloomington, Indiana; grandson Thomas, grandson Charles, and granddaughter Madelyn of LaGrange, Illinois. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. Marsha left Moline, Illinois in 1960 and matriculated to the University of New Mexico where she graduated in 1964. While at UNM, she was active in swimming, water ballet, and Greek life. Marsha eventually became president and alumna advisor of Delta Delta Delta Sorority where she developed many lifelong friends. Marsha began her successful and rewarding career in 1964 as a teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools. She worked at APS for over 17 years as a Teacher of the Gifted in the classroom and ultimately as Head Teacher in Special Education in middle school. She earned a Master of Arts, Elementary Education degree from UNM in 1995. Marsha was also actively involved in New Mexico Republican politics, working in various roles for the campaigns of Pete Domenici, Joe Skeen, Harry Kinney, Heather Wilson and others. Marsha was an active parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, a Girl Scout Leader, a member of Junior League, and an enthusiastic member of the "Sassy Sisters", her lifelong alumna friends from Moline High School. Marsha enjoyed her faith, tennis, golf, swimming, bridge, reading, politics, and many other social activities. However, she derived her greatest pleasure from being a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and friend. Marsha will be remembered as a loving and caring person who lived life with grace. As a teacher, she taught us through example how to address life's challenges effectively in a loving, compassionate, and respectful manner. We will miss you Marsha. We are all better off having known and loved you. STEWART, JAMES LEE born May 17, 1929 in Spearville, Kansas passed away Saturday morning, July 27, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Vivian and Cora Alice Lee Stewart, and a sister Ava Tyrone McClintock. TRUJILLO, ANTONIO "TONO" ANDRE Age 38, beloved and devoted, father, fianc, son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, was embraced by the Lord and taken to eternal rest, Monday, July 22, 2013. He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM; formerly of Las Vegas, NM, where he graduated from Robertson High School and was an under graduate of Highlands University. He went on to receive his degree as a Barber in 2012, and was currently employed with Ace Barber Shop in Albuquerque. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in Kuwait; the decorations awarded to Antonio were, Army Achievement Medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Antonio's hobbies were music, singing along with the radio, baseball, camping, fishing, golf and family gatherings. He especially loved spending time with his son and fiance; he had a special place in his heart for his loving aunts, cousins. Antonio will be fondly remembered as a soft spoken, lovable and caring person. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Evangeline Trujillo; maternal grandparents, Jesus and Carmen Gomez; and cousin, Monica DeLara.
