STEWART, JAMES LEE born May 17, 1929 in Spearville, Kansas passed away Saturday morning, July 27, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Vivian and Cora Alice Lee Stewart, and a sister Ava Tyrone McClintock. Jim is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Bette Sue Woodward Stewart; son Douglas Stewart of Costa Mesa, CA; daughters Jennifer Stewart of Denver, CO; Jude Richardson of Des Moines, IA; Janet "Nettie" Stewart of Denville, NJ; Jayne Hofmeyer of Alton, IA; and Jessica Arnold of Houston, TX; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a sister Adele Stuart of Shawnee, KS as well as a large extended family. Jim was a C.P.A. who graduated with a B.A. from Denver University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Jim and Bette have lived in Albuquerque for the past twenty years. Known for his dry sense of humor and love of music, Jim cherished his family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
