GARCIA -- VERNON E. Wednesday, August 22, at 7:00pm a Rosary wake will be held at Church of The Incarnation in Rio Rancho; Funeral Mass on Thursday morning 9:30am with reception immediately following at Vernon's Steakhouse on 4th Street. Our loving husband, daddy, papa and best friend went to be with our dear Heavenly Father on Sunday morning. Vernon remains here in the hearts of many, but especially his mother, Selina Garcia (90) and his most beloved wife Angel. His greatest joys in life were his five children: Christopher Ryan Myrick and wife Eliana and Josh, Christian Mateo Garcia and wife Char'let, Michael O'Conner Myrick and wife Alycia, and Daddy's baby girls Brittany Anne-Marie Garcia and Veronica Selina Garcia. Papa's happiest times were playing with his three granddaughters Elizabeth Anne-Marie Garcia Sanders, Emma Rose Garcia Evangel, and Moriah Nicole Myrick, they truly were the apples of his eye. God came for Vernon ten years ago and Vernon wasn't ready to go home so he blessed us with the most incredible years a family can have. The friends and family that have touched our lives and made our world complete are too numerous to mention but please know in your hearts how loved you were. Vernon's passion was his numerous restaurants including Vernon's Grille in Dallas, Calico Cafe in Corrales, and Vernon's Hidden Valley Steaks in Los Rancho de Albuquerque. God blessed his companies not with employees but extended family members, his customers were not patrons but dear friends, and his high morals and standards of life were not private but openly displayed through his warm smile, spiritual wisdom, and loving hand that was always open to whomever God put in his path. Vernon's last words to Angel just moments before passing were, "I wish everyone in the world could find and share the love we have." So as a special gift from Vernon to you, the family would request not donations or sympathy for us; but a peace that you would make with an estranged family member, old friend or anyone that God puts in your path. Let no one cross your path by accident and help our family as we continue on with an open heart and helping hand that Vernon so generously shared.

WILLIAMS -- MARJORIE HELEN YOUNG Also called "Marge" or "Margie" by those who loved her most, went to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 20, 2012, at the age of 93. Marjorie had been a resident of a nursing home in Carlsbad, NM for the past two years after several health issues made it far too much for her daughter Karen Sue to handle after Karen had taken such good care of Marjorie and Bus for so many years. Marjorie was born on December 30, 1918 in Carbondale, IL, to Ulysses Grant and Margaret Grace (Miller) Young and was the youngest of seven children, all of whom have preceded her in death. Marjorie was raised in Murphysboro, IL as a young girl until the age of 17. She was a survivor of the deadliest tornado on record in American History - the great Tri-State Tornado in March of 1925. Marjorie was a first grader at Longfellow School in Murphysboro, IL at the time and was buried alive with several other students and her teacher for about four hours until they were rescued - bruised, bloodied, and battered, but alive. Marjorie met the love of her life in 1935 and a year later they eloped to Evansville, IN and were married. William Francis (Bus) Williams was that special guy and on April 11, 1936 they were joined in Holy Matrimony. Marge and "Bus", or "Buster" (as he was known to all, preceded her in death in 2006) set out on a lifelong journey to follow their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and together they loved very much being in the Lord's work most of their married life of almost 70 years. They were blessed with three children: a son, William Arthur (Bud), a loving daughter, Karen Sue, who had been her constant, loving caregiver during her later years, and a second son, Gerald Lee (Jerry). Thousands could trace their spiritual roots to this couple, and their circle of friends and supporters would be in the hundreds, including associations with the Rev. Billy Graham, Leonard Ravenhill, Roy Hession, Corrie Ten Boom, R. G. LeTourneau, Norman Grubb, Bill Bright, Loren Sanny, the Rev. Charles Fuller, Ethel Waters, Don and Dick Hillis, and many others. While these are very special people, the most special persons throughout their ministry were the hundreds and thousands in the small home meetings that they were engaged in for so many years, sharing their faith and their insights into that great "Mystery of the Gospel" -Christ In You, the Hope of Glory. Marjorie was a faithful prayer-warrior and encourager to hundreds all around the world. She hand wrote thousands of letters in her lifetime, encouraging friends, family and missionaries. Marjorie leaves behind the following loved ones: her daughter-in-law, Dr. Ann Brooks Williams of Murphysboro, IL (Spouse of Marjorie's firstborn, William A. "Bud", who preceded Marjorie in death in 2003); Karen Sue and Norm Johnson of Albuquerque, NM; and Gerald Lee and Judy Williams of Montrose, CO. Eight (8) grandchildren (one, James Albert "Jimmy" Raines, Jr. preceded her in death in 1986); seventeen (17) great-grandchildren; and two (2) great-great-grandchildren, who were all dearly loved very much by this wonderful wife, mother and "Mimi". Marjorie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many family and friends, though we are certain she is much better off with her loving Lord. Viewing will take place between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Friday evening, August 24, 2012 at the French - Lomas. Funeral service will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at French - Lomas. Graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 (505) 345-3536. Please visit our online guest book for Marjorie at www.RememberTheirStory.com.
