ALCANTAR -- ISABEL (CHAVEZ) age 83, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Alcantar has reunited with her siblings, as she was the last of eleven children born to Telesfor Chavez and Rafaela Gurule. Mrs. Alcantar is survived by her daughter, Angela Lewis; two sons, Michael Lewis and wife, Lorraine, and David Lewis and wife, Lorraine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A devout Christian and a prayer warrior, she was constantly in the Word. Jesus welcomes home His loyal servant. Her family is comforted as they know where she's gone...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside Blessing will be Friday at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Edward Sanchez, Frank Creamer, Jerome Tapia, Daniel Sanchez, Hugo Lopez, and Mike Garcia.
