NUNEZ -- Gloria J. Nunez, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away March, 11, 2010. A wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Louie Nunez; and her son Tony Nunez. She is survived by sons, John Nunez of Seattle, WA and Ronnie Nunez of Pagosa Springs, CO.; grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Marcus Nunez,Danielle Nunez and Russell Snyder Nunez; two great-grandchildren; Hunter and Chase Morgan; brothers, Mickey and Sisto Montoya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited Friday March 19, 2010 7:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque. A communion service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Nunez, Orlando Encinias, Vince Harrison, Santiago Gallegos, Robert Cansino and Cesario Ortiz.

ROBERTS -- Judith Ann Roberts, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM and adored wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed into God's hands after a long battle with Breast Cancer Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law, Lou Emma Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Gary Roberts; her daughter, Shelly Veatch and her granddaughter, Samantha of Denver, CO; her son, Michael Pruett, his wife Sherry and granddaughter, Jordan of Atlanta, GA ,her son Richard Pruett and his wife Brandi and granddaughter, Reagan Ann of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Kimberly Christian, her husband Gary and grandsons, Nicholas and Alex of Birmingham, AL; her brothers, James Simmons, David Simmons (Rosie) and Michael Simmons (Patty) all of Tyler, TX; her father-in-law, Lester H. Roberts (Lillian) of Farmington, NM; brothers-in-law Franklin Roberts (Joyce) of Mansfield, TX, Tommy Roberts (Cindy) of Farmington, NM and Steve (Jill) of Albuquerque; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was a long time real estate appraiser in Albuquerque. She will be remembered by all who loved her as a loving, giving, kind, spectacularly strong and dignified woman and we will miss the joy she brought to everyone's lives. She chose to be cremated and we welcome those who wish to remember her at a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Stephen's United Methodist Church at 4601 Juan Tabo NE, 87111, in Albuquerque with a reception to follow. The family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

ROJAS -- Otila (Tillie) Rojas, 95, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 15, 2010. Mrs. Rojas is survived by her children, Hazel Levix, Lovene-Hope Gutierrez and husband, Jose, Bernadette Rojas Lucero and Armando Jack Rojas Jr.; her grandchildren, Otila C De Baca, Faith Seda, Charity Gutierrez, Joey-Hope Gutierrez, Nickolaus Rojas, Steven Craighead, Steven Archuleta, Kim, Adrienne Witte, and Armando Jack Rojas III; great-grandchildren, Carmelita Vigil, Louie Vigil, Chrissy Gutierrez, Gabrielle Gutierrez, Francisco Gutierrez, Victoria Gutierrez, Amanda Sanchez, Steven Archuleta Jr., Joe Ray Archuleta, Stephine Archuleta, Jonathan Archuleta, and Melanie Witte; great-great-grandchildren, Lilliana Vigil and Serenity Sanchez; her favorite niece, Paula Strosnider and husband, Jeff and their children, Kristin, David and Gregory. Mrs. Rojas was preceded by her father, Refugio Amador; her mother, Maria Barrera; her husband, Armando Jack Rojas Sr.; her children, Mary Agnes Walker, and Refugio Joe Rojas. Mrs. Rojas was a devout member of the third order of Franciscans, Saint Anthony fraternity. A Rosary will be recited, Sunday, March 21, 2010, 6:00 p.m., at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1100 Indian School Rd., NW. Final visitation will be Monday at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Emeric Nordmeyer, presider. STEIDER MCCAMPBELL -- Doris Steider McCampbell began her next journey on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at a youthful age of 85. She was an icon in the New Mexico art community and was also well known around the world by thousands of artists and collectors. Her innovative and masterful technique of painting was a unique, modern version of egg tempera, a medium used by many ancient masters. She graduated from Purdue University and earned her Masters degree in Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. Doris inspired many in her personal and spiritual life, and was greatly loved by scores of family and friends. She defined beauty in countless ways as an artist and as a person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll McCampell, in 1999. She is survived by her long time friend and companion, Arbon Lang; her children, Kris Latham and husband Gerald, Bob Steider and wife Brenda, Tim Steider and wife Amy; sister-in-law, Betts Sleeter; her step-children Jeff McCampbell and wife Patty, Joan Sleeter and husband David; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren with one more to arrive this summer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. SWAIN-KELLY -- Willia B. Kelly-Saindon, Lois J. Saindon, Lawrence J. Jr. IN LOVING MEMORY Willia- March 28, 1919 - March 19, 2001 Lois- February 19, 1938 - March 19, 2009 Lawrence - September 27, 1958 - September 3, 2009 Lois J. Kelly Saindon passed away March 19, 2009 at the young age of 71. Ironically her mother, Willa B. Swain Kelly, passed March 19, 2001 at the age of 81 and on September 3, 2009, Lois' first son, Lawrence John Saindon Jr. passed away at the age of 51. Son. Christopher Saindon, twins, Kelly Saindon and Kimberly Saindon Friske, miss their mom, grandma and brother more than words can say. To lose your mom on your grandma's death day is a pain we cannot bare and to lose your brother six months later only the Lord can ease our pain and that's where they are in heaven, with our Lord. THIGPEN -- Andrew Calvin Thigpen II, 53, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born July 1, 1956 to Andrew and Janet Thigpen. Calvin is survived by his common-law wife Jamie Thigpen; his sons, Justin D. Thigpen, Richard T. Thigpen, Billyjack Shaw; his daughter Jeannie Gonzalez and husband Marcos; his grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Thigpen, Cody Lane Thigpen, Tona Lea Thigpen, Cody James and Corben Thigpen, Marcos Jr. and Octavian Gonzalez; brother, Daniel Thigpen and wife Tina; sister, Terry Ann Sheets and husband, Pat; his nieces, Jamie Moats and husband, DJ, and Kylie Waddell; his nephews, Jesse Thigpen, Ryan Sheets, Dusty and Dakota Moats, Rusty Kriete, Chad and Brad Waddell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Dwayne Cody Shaw. Calvin was a born and raised in Albuquerque where he attended Highland High School. After school Calvin joined the US Coast Guard where he served honorably. Soon after the Coast Guard Calvin began working for Halliburton in Farmington, NM. With Halliburton, Calvin had the opportunity to live in Dubai, UAE and in Islamabad, Pakistan. Calvin also worked the Halliburton rigs in Europe, most countries of the Middle East and Central Asia. Calvin returned to the US and worked for Halliburton and BJ Services in the Texas Panhandle. Later he would explore the US and Canada driving for various companies, the latest being Upstaging Inc., where he was able to share the road with his younger brother Daniel, and a crew of very good friends.Calvin was loved by many. He was married four times, to Cindy, Linda, Cherryl and Jamie, each marriage special. He loved the children his wives gave him, even those not of his blood. He was a hero to his siblings, and a beloved son. Calvin as a man loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He loved watching football and NASCAR. He loved his animals and his trucks. Calvin loved music, turned way up loud. He loved quiet times with family and friends. He was fun loving, goodhearted, and gregarious. Calvin found God later in life through the Mormon Church. He will greatly missed by all who know and love him. A final word from Calvin, "Truck" em easy, keep "em sunny side up!". Memorial Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Bernalillo, NM at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010.

WILLIAMS -- Owallah S. "Billie" Williams, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. She is survived by her children, Beverly J. Wilkins of Albuquerque and John R. Williams of Truth or Consequences, NM; five grandchildren, Sydney Little and husband, Frank, Brian Wilkins and wife, Robyn, Steven Wilkins and wife, Sandra, Amy Wilkins, and Dawn Williams; great-grandchildren, Christina Little and partner, Robert Willeto, Stephanie Hicks and husband, Ryan, Chelsea and John Wilkins, Holly Wilkins and partner, Jamie, Boston, Dustin ,Katherine and Lillian Wilkins, and James, John and Kirsten Verdigan; four great-great grandchildren, Shana, Bailey, Alisa, and Robert James; her only remaining sibling, sister Wauhillau "Neen" Clanton; and numerous other relatives and many friends. Owallah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John P. Williams in August, 2000; six brothers, Herb, Glen, Cliff, Ben, Joe and Charles Shoemake; and one sister, Blanche Perry. She was born to Walter Benjamin and Mary Mollie Merrell Shoemake in Claremore, OK on November 4, 1916. Billie graduated from the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS. Owallah married John Williams on June 16, 1936 in Tulsa, OK. She retired from the Federal Government after working as a Federal Switchboard Operator for twenty years. Billie was very active in Eastern Star, Desert Rose # 70, The White Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile. She also was active in the Haskell Alumni Club and the Cherokees of New Mexico. Billie loved to bake, especially her pies. She was a very bubbly, social type of person who loved to entertain and spend time with others. Billie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. WOOD -- Everett E. Wood passed peacefully from this life on Monday, March 15, 2010, at the age of 93. He was born in Princeton, Illinois. Everett also lived in Sandwich, IL, and Downers Grove, IL. He graduated from North Central College with a B.A. in Business Administration. Prior to WWII, he became the head of the BIA credit programs, in Ashland, Wisconsin, serving tribes in Wisconsin and Michigan. In 1941, a month before the Pearl Harbor attack, he was drafted into the Army. He received training as a field medic, in Amarillo, Denver, Paso Robles and Tacoma. Everett served in active duty in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Holland, Austria and Germany and participated in the Battle of the Bulge during the Christmas of 1944 and the Liberation of Dachau in April of 1945. In 1948, he married Edna Portwood, at the Episcopal Church across from the White House. He retired from the BIA in 1977, in Window Rock, AZ, where he was the BIA's Chief of Credit for the Navajo Nation. Everett and Edna continued to enjoy living in Gallup, until they moved to Albuquerque in 2004. He is survived by his wife; four children, John, Douglas and Dana in Albuquerque and Charlene Delaunay in Arapahoe, WY; and three grandchildren.
