NUNEZ -- Gloria J. Nunez, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away March, 11, 2010. A wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Louie Nunez; and her son Tony Nunez. She is survived by sons, John Nunez of Seattle, WA and Ronnie Nunez of Pagosa Springs, CO.; grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Marcus Nunez,Danielle Nunez and Russell Snyder Nunez; two great-grandchildren; Hunter and Chase Morgan; brothers, Mickey and Sisto Montoya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited Friday March 19, 2010 7:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque. A communion service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Nunez, Orlando Encinias, Vince Harrison, Santiago Gallegos, Robert Cansino and Cesario Ortiz.

OTERO -- Manuel Lito Otero died peacefully at home with family March 16, 2010. "Lito" is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise Otero; sons, Manuel Jr. Jimmy, wife Kathy; grandchildren, Manny the third, Andrea, Brandi, James Jr. Jaquelyn; step-grandchildren, Melisa, Frankie, and Chantel; three great-granchildren, Benny, Ventura, Natalia, Ozzy. Lito worked for the city of Albuquerque, He was an avid softball and baseball player, as he took a place in the softball and baseball hall of fame. 'Lito' loved the life he lived. Every morning he woke up put the ol' "Yankee" hat on, grabbed his favorite 1970 bowling bag. "Don't touch his bag, or his hat!" And Boy did he hate that dog! He loved attending Alamosa gym five days a week for over eight years. He will forever be missed by those live's that he touched. Viewing will be held at RIVERSIDE Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE. Albuquerque, NM on March 21, 2010, 7:00 p.m. Followed by the ceremony on March 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. At Riverside Funeral Home. Interment will be held 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Family will catch up at 1805 Barcelona SW. Pallbearers will be, Art Sanchez, Tom Otero, Phil Otero, Frankie Baca, Manny Otero Jr. Brian Velasquez, and Honorary pallbearers, John Sanchez, Kenny Ray Otero, and Lalo Legarreta.

PADILLA -- Tranquilino "Trankie" Padilla, 83, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 18, 2010. He was preceded in death by wife, Celia Padilla, who are now joyously reunited; son, Larry Padilla; parents, Tranquilino and Maria del Rosario Padilla; and grandson, Jeremy Francia. He is survived by his sons, Robert James Padilla, Michael Padilla and wife Vivian, Ronald Padilla and wife Donna, Arthur Padilla and wife Jeanette; step-sons, Phillip Lucero and wife Christy and Joe Lucero; daughters, Michelle Francia and husband Joe; step-daughters, Margaret Ortiz and husband Ron, and Theresa Renteria and husband Esteban; brother, Johnnie Padilla; sisters, Ida Castillo and Bennie Lucero and husband Don; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Tranquilino was a life long resident of Albuquerque. He was a union member of Local 794 IAM. Served as a usher at the Ascension Church, and was an avid baseball and lobo fan. Tranquilino was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rosary will be Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension. Mass will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension. Burial will follow Mass at Los Padilla's Cemetery and a Reception is at Rio Grande Baptist Church (2121 Gun Club Rd, SW 87105). Pallbearers will be Joshua Padilla, Larry Padilla, Brandon Madrid, Esteban Renteria II, John Lucero, and Marcus Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers are Mateo Maldonado and Andrew Lucero. ROBERTS -- Judith Ann Roberts, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM and adored wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed into God's hands after a long battle with Breast Cancer Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law, Lou Emma Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Gary Roberts; her daughter, Shelly Veatch and her granddaughter, Samantha of Denver, CO; her son, Michael Pruett, his wife Sherry and granddaughter, Jordan of Atlanta, GA ,her son Richard Pruett and his wife Brandi and granddaughter, Reagan Ann of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Kimberly Christian, her husband Gary and grandsons, Nicholas and Alex of Birmingham, AL; her brothers, James Simmons, David Simmons (Rosie) and Michael Simmons (Patty) all of Tyler, TX; her father-in-law, Lester H. Roberts (Lillian) of Farmington, NM; brothers-in-law Franklin Roberts (Joyce) of Mansfield, TX, Tommy Roberts (Cindy) of Farmington, NM and Steve (Jill) of Albuquerque; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was a long time real estate appraiser in Albuquerque. She will be remembered by all who loved her as a loving, giving, kind, spectacularly strong and dignified woman and we will miss the joy she brought to everyone's lives. She chose to be cremated and we welcome those who wish to remember her at a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Stephen's United Methodist Church at 4601 Juan Tabo NE, 87111, in Albuquerque with a reception to follow. The family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

STEIDER MCCAMPBELL -- Doris Steider McCampbell began her next journey on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at a youthful age of 85. She was an icon in the New Mexico art community and was also well known around the world by thousands of artists and collectors. Her innovative and masterful technique of painting was a unique, modern version of egg tempera, a medium used by many ancient masters. She graduated from Purdue University and earned her Masters degree in Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. Doris inspired many in her personal and spiritual life, and was greatly loved by scores of family and friends. She defined beauty in countless ways as an artist and as a person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll McCampell, in 1999. She is survived by her long time friend and companion, Arbon Lang; her children, Kris Latham and husband Gerald, Bob Steider and wife Brenda, Tim Steider and wife Amy; sister-in-law, Betts Sleeter; her step-children Jeff McCampbell and wife Patty, Joan Sleeter and husband David; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren with one more to arrive this summer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
