KERZEE -- Wilmer Royce Kerzee, A celebration of life for Mr. Wilmer (Wil) Royce Kerzee, 75, of Albuquerque, New Mexico will be held on September 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at The Merc Restaurant, 221 Hwy 165, Placitas, N.M., (505) 867-8661 followed by a reception. Mr. Kerzee passed away on August 21, 2009 from injuries sustained from a car accident on August 8, 2009. On November 16, 1933 in Point Enterprise, Texas, Wilmer was born the 6th of nine children to Alton B. and Addie Bond Kerzee. He attended Mexia High School where he graduated in 1951. He served in the United States Army for two years and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in computer science. He went on to work for the Burroughs Corp., Lovelace Clinic and start two computer software companies of his own. His career took him to Omaha, NE but after 25 years he returned to Albuquerque to be near the mountains he loved and start Kerzee Real Estate LLC. He was operating this company at the time of his death. A lover of people with an endearing Texas twang, Wilmer was a good addition to any party. He was lively and optimistic and had a generosity often hidden from others with a special interest in giving to those assisting orphaned and abandoned children. You could always count on Wil to help you out with the heavy work - planting trees, tiling floors, taking care of the sick. At 75 he was still in great physical and mental shape, and he could fire up a mean barbeque. He is survived by his six children Cherie, Robert, Ruth, Erik, Jeanne and Christy; 11 grandchildren; six siblings; his very dear friend and companion, Dr. Rosalie Davis; and Manchester, his trusty pug. In light of Wilmer's concern for children, the family requests that contributions be made to Boys Town in lieu of flowers.
