Jack was a hunter and avid fisherman, but his real love was sports, having been an athlete himself in his younger years. He followed college basketball on a national level, but supported the Lobos from his reserved seats in the Pit for 40 years. Although he and Virginia traveled the world, he never missed an evening walk with his faithful companion Maggie, to patrol the neighborhood where the Jackson's lived for 25 years.
