GREENWALT -- Larry W. Greenwalt, 69, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007. Larry was born May 11, 1938, the son of Howard F. and Cecil Greenwalt in Shenandoah, IA. Larry was an artist, one who dealt in nostalgia, and a yearning for the less complicated lifestyle. His rural landscapes and his meticulous attention to detail are visual images to convey these values. He was a two-time winner in the Northwestern Bell Appointment Calendar 1973-74. He received national recognition December 1976 with the Saturday Evening Post cover contest, 1st Place Winner "The Grande Ole Buggy." Greenwalt had numerous one-man shows throughout the United States, had exhibited and judged many others, holding workshop classes, and lecturing at clubs and organizations. His life has been devoted to one end, "art". Unlike most, Greenwalt has known his destiny from the beginning. Moving to the Southwest in 1988 influenced his works in Western and Southwest art. His signature quote, "A Greenwalt painting is a treasure that gives pleasure for a lifetime". Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Miller (Bubb) Greenwalt, William Greenwalt; one sister, Mildred Greenwalt Spies; and one grandchild, Lynn Marcelle Greenwalt; He is survived by his wife, Sandra Greenwalt; two children, Todd Wayne Greenwalt and Melinda Kay Greenwalt Merkel; grandchildren, Steven Wayne Greenwalt, Adam Greenwalt, Nathan Greenwalt, Melissa Merkel, Christine Merkel, and Brian Merkel; one brother, Harley Greenwalt; one sister, Margaret Greenwalt Kling; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held for Larry on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Interment will take place in Shenandoah, IA. Arrangements by Daniels Family Funeral Services 4310 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, New Mexico 892-9920

GRIEGO -- JOHN PATRICK Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in me. In my father's house there are many dwelling places; otherwise how could I have told you that I was going to prepare a place for you? I am indeed going to prepare a place for you and then I shall come back to take you with me, that where I am you also may be. You know the way that leads to where I go. Daddy, Oh how you are missed. Every thought and prayer is filled with you. Love Betty, Veronica, AnnMarie and John

HOOKER -- Toyoko Hooker, my wife and the love of my life, entered into fullness of joy in Christ Jesus to behold our God, face to face, on Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Born in Japan, Toyoko was the daughter of Tokuhei Oikawa and Sueyo Oikawa, both deceased. She was preceded in death by a brother Tomio Oikawa, but is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, respectively, Shizue Iki and Bumpei Iki also of Japan, and Jane Brown, her sister-in-law, of North Carolina. We were married August 15, 1959. Toyoko came with me to the United States and soon fell in love with this country and its people. Ruth 1:16 Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you live I will live; your people shall be my people, and your God my God; where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if even death parts me from you." Toyoko studied American History, and on her final exam for American citizenship 17 years ago she missed only one question-something about the United Nations! That day was one of the proudest days of her life. Scripture has always been the Good News of Jesus Christ to both Toyoko and to me. These words have long been precious to us and I pray they be Good News to you, dear reader: The First Letter of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians 5:9-11 "For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we be awake or asleep we might live with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." Cremation has taken place; Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2007 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Claremont and Vermont Streets, with Rev. Bennett J. Voorhies, Pastor of Our Lady of Annunciation celebrating and Fr. Leo Padget, Pastor of St. Ann's Parish, Tucumcari, NM, con-celebrating. In lieu of flowers, Toyoko and I ask that any memorial gifts be a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, New Mexico Chapter, 9500 Montgomery NE, Suite #209, Albuquerque, 87111 with a note "in Memory of Toyoko Hooker". I want to thank Betty Kuehne, Alzheimer's Assoc. Program Director, who gently advised, encouraged, and ministered to me. Finally, I thank my Lord and God for Toyoko and our 48 years together. To Toyoko, you are and have been the love of my life--thank you. I miss you beyond words. At the same time I rejoice that you are seeing Him face to face. With overwhelming love, Tom Hooker. LANG -- TOMMY TO MY BELOVED SON, TOMMY: January 12, 1984 - August 9, 2002 Five long years... Five long years of endless tears, Impossible task: living without you, though I've tried, I can't do justice to Vanilla Ice without you by my side But it was by God's divine design That I am yours, and you are mine... A bond for all eternity, Mack and Mac, you and me I'll see you one day soon again, And Tommy, know this until then... I love you with each beat of my heart And every breath I take, I miss you more than words can say, I ache to hug you every day, But one day soon this pain will end, and endless time we'll have to spend... never again to say goodbye, Mack and Mac, you and I. With all my love, Mom
