Larry W. Greenwalt, 69, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007. Larry was born May 11, 1938, the son of Howard F. and Cecil Greenwalt in Shenandoah, IA. Larry was an artist, one who dealt in nostalgia, and a yearning for the less complicated lifestyle. His rural landscapes and his meticulous attention to detail are visual images to convey these values. He was a two-time winner in the Northwestern Bell Appointment Calendar 1973-74. He received national recognition December 1976 with the Saturday Evening Post cover contest, 1st Place Winner "The Grande Ole Buggy."
