SANCHEZ -- Alice Sanchez passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 97. Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her husband, Elias Sanchez and by her daughter, Josephine Hernandez. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her grandson, Raymond Hernandez; granddaughters, Cecilia Hernandez, and Evangeline Ortiz and husband, Rafael; son-in-law, Henry Hernandez; son, Julian Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Ashley Hernandez, Christina Hernandez, Alexandria Ortiz and Annaliesse Nunez; great-great-granddaughter, Aaliaha Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Priscilla Murillo. Mrs. Sanchez was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1266 as well as the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4243. Visitation for Mrs. Sanchez will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Olguin, David Garcia, Eddie Garcia, Michael Anthony Archibeque, Robert Roybal, and Abenicio Garcia. Honorary pallbearer will be Juan Ricardo Olguin.
