RISBERG -- Lorraine I. Risberg, 63, of Albuquerque, died on Friday August 3, 2007, after gracefully battling Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on January 9, 1944 Phil and Mary Lennon. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Risberg; her two daughters, Debbie Risberg and Tracy McFadden and her husband, Scott ; one grandson, Kellan McFadden; and brother, Larry Lennon and his wife, Kathy. Lorraine was a great cook and liked to sew and knit. She worked for the Phillips Lab until Alzheimer's kept her from doing so. She was the best mom and the kindest soul. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday August 9, 2007 at Aspen Funeral Chapel, 1935 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE. SEDILLO -- Mr. Salomon Seferino Sedillo II, (Tito), 66, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 5, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. Salomon was born in Chilili, NM on October 21, 1940. Salomon is the beloved husband to Mrs. Trinnie M. Sedillo, married for 49 years and passed away just shortly before their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Salomon is also survived by his children, Debbie Fought and husband, John, Grace Sedillo, Salomon Sedillo III and wife, Helen, Juanita Sedillo and Rey Rodriguez, Mike Sedillo, Andrew Sedillo and wife, Cecilia; by his mother, Mrs. Eloisa Sedillo; three sisters, Sally Mora, Vera Ramirez, Joann Sedillo and Richard Garcia; four brothers, Ramon Sedillo, Adam Sedillo, Alfredo Sedillo and Benny Sedillo; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Salomon was preceded in death by his father, Salomon Sedillo Sr. and a brother, Zenovio. Salomon was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Salomon will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Los Hermanos de Sociedad Piadosa (C.N.P.J.N.). Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming, NE, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at La Morada Cemetery in Chilili, NM. SERNA -- Linda Ann Serna, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 6, 2007. Linda is survived by her husband, Freddie; 11 children, Linda Zamora, Charlotte Perea, Monica Perea, Ernest Perea, Joseph Perea, Amanda Perea, Anthony Valenzuela, Christopher Perea, Daniel Zamora, Chantel Perez, and Eric Serna; her sister, Terry Zamora-Moreno and husband, Jesus; her sisters-in-law, Christine Martinez and husband, Leonard and Becky Duarte; nine grandchildren; children of her deceased brother, Antoinette M. Zamora and Raymond M. Garcia; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Maximiliano and Antonia; her son, Eleazar Jr. and her brother, Mike Zamora. SPORLEDER -- Mary Elizabeth Sporleder (Betty) was the only child born to Eugene and Marguerite Hunter Jan 17, 1922 in Fort Morgan, CO. She attended Colorado Women's College, was an accomplished pianist, devout member of St. Mark on the Mesa Episcopal Church, and member of P.E.O. She spent her life devoted to children and was co-founder of St. Marks in the Valley Preschool. Married twice, Betty was preceded in death by her son, John Graves. Survivors are daughter, Jeane Graves and partner, Kerry Dalen; and her grandchildren, Javon Swanson and Ivon Graves; and her close cousin, Ruth Roberts. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond NE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Marks in the Valley Preschool.

STEINBACH -- Thomas Martin Steinbach, 86, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2007. A native of Pontiac, IL, he made his home and career in Chicago until 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria and his son, Tom Jr., and is survived by his children, Tasia, Paul, Peter, and David. Pop was an industrial designer, artist, teacher, author, and an expert aficionado of the fine arts. His creative, energetic life included inventions and designs of beauty and utility, lay service to the Benedictine community, and he served as board president of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra in suburban Chicago. A great soul, loved by all, he will be sorely missed. A private Mass will be held at Santa Maria del Vid.

TORREZ -- Feliz Torrez, 75, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died August 6, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Manuel Torrez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one son, Louie Richard Torrez and wife, Rosemary of Rio Rancho, NM; two sisters, Rosaura Aragon and Isabel Trujillo of Albuquerque, NM; and two grandsons, Jonathan Alexander and Thaddeus James of Rio Rancho, NM. Also surviving are 12 nephews and 10 nieces. Mrs. Torrez was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Trujillo and mother, Soledad; two brothers, Pedro and Antonio Trujillo; two sisters, Tomasita Castillo and Bessie Fernandez. Mrs. Torrez was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Services will be held on August 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel with Pastor Max Martinez officiating. TYLER -- Neta I. Tyler, 87, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 5, 2007. Neta was born February 14, 1920, the daughter of James Fredrick and Stella Brown Rowden in Wheeless, Oklahoma. She had worked for the Sandia Labs before she retired. Neta was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, James and Stella; and one niece, Sandra. She is survived by her niece, Cheryl Richardson; nephew, Tim Michaels; niece, Cathy Stoehr; and many great-great-nieces and -nephews. A Memorial Service will be held for Neta on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris St. NE, Albuquerque. WAY -- Fred Way, 60, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, passed away on August 4, 2007, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy Way; one son, Jeff Way and wife, Antonia of Albuquerque; sister, Marilyn Curtis and husband, David of Delmar, NY; brother, Robert Way and wife, Debbie, of Delmar, NY; three nieces, Laura, Sharon, and Andrea; and numerous other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Marion Way. He was born on March 20, 1947, in Albany, NY, and graduated from high school in Delmar, NY. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Photo Science Engineering. Two years before graduation he met Peggy Clinton and they were married on June 22, 1968. They moved to Florida where Fred worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, International Laser Systems and Harris Corporation doing engineering, laser and electro-optics work. In 1977, they moved to Connecticut where their son Jeff was born. While there, Fred worked for Perkin-Elmer in the Electro-Optical Division, managing Advanced Programs and the Southwest Field Office. In January 1980, the family moved to Albuquerque where Fred worked for Spectron Development Laboratories, Helionetics Electro-Optical Systems, General Dynamics and The BDM Corporation. In 1990, Fred founded Decade Optical Systems with divisions in Albuquerque and Pennsylvania (Armstrong Laser Technologies). DOS/ALT built lasers and packaged diode bars for Government projects. For many years DOS received the "Flying 40 Award" for being one of the fastest growing technology companies in New Mexico. Some of the special projects Fred was involved in included: the Mercury and Apollo Space programs, Hubble Space Telescope, AC-130H Gunship, Patriot Missiles, ALL, ABLE-X, ATLAS, Y-Blue, OPSL, Argus, Big Crow and ABLE-ACE. Fred was a member of the professional organizations NMOIA and PACA, and he also enjoyed and supported the NM Symphony. Personal organizations he belonged to were the Eagle Scouts and the Elks. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, hiking in the Sandia mountains, traveling, sailing, swimming and playing the violin. He was a loving husband, father and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate Fred's life will take place at St. Chad's Episcopal Church, 7171 Tennyson, NE, on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred's name to Boy Scouts of America, 5841 Office Blvd., ABQ, NM 87109 and St. Chad's Episcopal Church, 7171 Tennyson, NE, ABQ, NM 87122. APODACA -- Monserrat "Charro" Apodaca, 56 died on Tuesday. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years: Christina Chavez-Apodaca, loving daughters: Maria Raquel, Veronica Diana, and Vanessa Erica; brothers: Jose, Rodrigo, Juan, Gustavo, Edmundo, Ramon, Jesus; sisters: Berta, Luz Maria, Guadalupe, Juana,and Maria Elsa. His love extended to over 50 nieces and nephews but especially to Victor, Francisco, Jesus, Beto, Marcos, EJ, Patricia and Anayeli, April, Alicia. He was a self-employed masonry contractor and a member of the movie union industry, local 480. His hands were hard as steel for his job but yet tender and caring for his family. A viewing will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the Reflection of Life Chapel (Washington and Cutler NE) followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Life Celebration Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (4th and Stover SW) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Park.
