WESTERMAN -- Margaret "Peggy" Westerman, age 64, passed away at home early Saturday morning, December 22, 2007 from a reoccurrence of lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; brothers, Marco Vallecorse of Phoenix, AZ, Mario and wife, Peggy Anne, and Aldo Vallecorsa of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Peggy was a 1961 graduate of Valley High School. She worked eighteen years for Albuquerque Federal Savings and Loan, seven years for Cards and Such, and two years for Hallmark Cards, before retiring at age 62. No Services will be held. WIGLEY -- Naomi Lucille Wigley, 74 passed away on December 22, 2007 at her home in Belen New Mexico. Preceding her in death were her husband Louis A. Wigley; brother Frank Mahon; sister Floryn Harris; and parents, Frank and Sallie Mahon. Survivors include three children Buster Wigley and wife Karen of Los Lunas; Kelly Gragg and husband Lenny of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Jason (Crissy) Clover of Nashville TN, Tara Wigley, Breanne (Matt McEntee) of Iowa, Cathy Gragg and Jacob Gragg of Albuquerque, and Sarah and Leigh Ann Clover of Los Lunas; Seven great grandchildren Mateas Clover, Patricia, Andrew, Lathaniel, Jonathon Maldonado and Sarah and Jolene Spurlin; her brother Clyde Mahon; and many special friends and caregivers. Ms. Wigley retired from BIA after many years of service. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be held January 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at her daughter Lisa's home in Los Lunas.

KEATON -- James Thomas Keaton, 83, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his home. A resident of Albuquerque for thirty years, he is survived by his beloved wife of ten years, Marla Parks Keaton. Mr. Keaton was born on November 23, 1924 in Milan, Tennessee to George and Mary Keaton and migrated to Winslow, Arizona in 1937 where his father found work with the Santa Fe Railroad. After graduating from Winslow High School in 1942, Mr. Keaton joined the US Navy, serving proudly during WWII as a radio operator and gunner in the South Pacific. He received a degree in political science from California State Polytechnic College in San Luis Obispo, California in 1951, joining the FBI upon graduation where he worked until 1956 when he accepted a position with General Motor's Oldsmobile Division in Lansing, Michigan. Over the course of his thirty-year career with GM, Mr. Keaton, an expert in personnel and labor relations, held numerous management positions, retiring in 1977. While in Albuquerque, Mr. Keaton launched a second career, serving as Personnel Director at the University of New Mexico Hospital from 1977 until 1989. During retirement he enjoyed golf as a member of the Tanoan Country Club and the Rotary and served on the New Mexico State Labor Relations Board from 1993 to 1996. Mr. Keaton was preceded in death by former wife Lora Smith Keaton in 1996. Other survivors include two children, James T. Keaton, Jr. and wife, Karen of Peoria, Arizona and Kathryn L. McLain and husband, Larry of Chicago, Illinois; two step-children, Cindy Bullington and husband, Robert of Phoenix, Arizona and Mike Smith and wife, Lynda also of Arizona; four grandchildren, Jennifer Keaton, Kristeen McLain, Erin McLain, Matthew McLain and wife, Lucy; four step-grandchildren Bobby, Catherine and Susan Bullington and Nick, Tim, and Sarah Smith; and, three great-grandchildren, Hazel, Myles, and Elsie McLain. Also among survivors are two brothers, Robert H. Keaton and wife, Cathryn of Apple Valley, California and Bill Keaton and wife, Lee of Tucson, Arizona. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mr. Keaton's life is scheduled for Wednesday, January 2, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust, NE. LOPEZ -- Berlinda Maria Sanchez Lopez (Berley), 83, passed away December 28th, 2007. She was married to Ignacio (Nash) Lopez who died in 1975. Her children are Linda Lopez-Chase, Reginald Lopez, Celine R. Lopez, M.A., Ignacio Gregorio Juan Lopez III; and her grand children are David Lopez-Cox, Eric Lopez, and Amanda Lopez. Her greatest source of joy were those six great-grandkids: Miriah Wolfel-Cox, Valerie Lopez, Felix Bishop, Jordan Lopez, Joshua Lopez, and Leandra Bishop. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Francis Sanchez Roberts, Fred Sanchez, Emily Sanchez Diaz, Bob Sanchez, and John Sanchez. Her father was Juan Sanchez Sr., and her mother was Emma Weiss. LUJAN -- Mary Evelyn Lujan, 69, passed away December 27, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Frank. She was known for her Southwest Art work and was a member of the American Legion; Women's Aux., unit 49. Cremation has taken place and she will be interred at SFNC. MCLEOD -- Sally McLeod, 71, died Saturday, December 22, 2007. She was born August 31, 1936, in Emporia, Kansas. She was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating from Highland High School. She attended Northwestern University and Reed College, graduating from Northwestern in 1958. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority in college. After living in Tacoma, WA; Boston, MA; and Oak Park, IL, she returned to Albuquerque to have and raise her family. She received her Master's Degree from University of New Mexico in 1973. In the ensuing years, she worked as a mother and a teacher. She taught math for the Los Lunas Public Schools, APS, and T-VI. She was an active member of AAUW, Alpha Gamma Delta Alumnae, and Duke City Bridge Club. She was an avid supporter of the Arts. She volunteered at the Albuquerque Museum as a docent and held season tickets for the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra for countless years. She also delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for several years. She volunteered her time to several other charitable organizations throughout her life. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church and a current member Sandia Presbyterian Church. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her five children, who survive her: Kathy Schwarting and husband, Dave, of Kailua-Kona, HI; Matthew McLeod and wife, Karen, of Evanston, IL; Charlotte McLeod of Albuquerque; Duncan McLeod of Santa Paula, CA; and Jim McLeod and wife, Valerie, of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her brothers and a sister-in-law: Carl Brogan and wife, Sharon, of LaGrange, GA; Bill Brogan and wife, Julia, of Alamogordo; and Nancy Brogan of Santa Paula, CA. Four grandchildren survive her: Brandon, Kaitlyn, Noah, and Hannah. She leaves behind many close friends. A Memorial Service will be held to honor her life January 2, 2008, at Sandia Presbyterian Church at 11:00. Flowers may be sent to the church, 10704 Paseo del Norte, 87122.
