BELL -- Willie B. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell was the only child born to the late Myrtle Wilma Lee Lawfton in Collin County, Texas on May 23, 1923. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was one of the first members of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell was a true Pioneer in the Church of God in Christ in New Mexico. As a songster, she used her Angelic voice to lift up the Word of the Lord. Evangelist Mother Bell served in the Church of God in Christ in New Mexico as State Choir President, State Minister of Music, State Hospitality Worker and District Missionary. She helped several Pastors organize and establish their churches. Evangelist Mother Bell was the First Mass Choir President of Faith Temple, served as the Vice-President of the Mother's Board and an all around Pastor and First Lady helper. She served faithfully until she moved out of state with her family. When she relocated with her family, she continued to fellowship with various churches in the Warner Robins community, as well as her ministry throughout the United States and overseas. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell wore many hats. She was a loving wife, devoted Mother and caring Grandmother. She was a blessing to all who came into her path. She was truly a woman of virtue, and loved the Lord with all her heart. She faithfully prayed until her eternal rest. On Tuesday, August 8, 2006, God sent his angel to call his devoted servant home. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell is preceded in death by her husband, the late Reverend Clifford Bell. She leaves to mourn her two loving and devoted children, Phillip Wayne Bell and Pamela Arlene Martinez; one uncle, William Shelby; one niece, Terry Hanford; nephew, Kenneth Newman; daughters-in-law, Shirley Bell, Janet Friday; son-in-law, Angelo Martinez; grandchildren, Eric Bell and wife Grace, Chey Bell, Maurice Martinez, Demond Martinez, Phillip Bell, Jr., Brianna Bell; one great-grandchild, Jazmyn Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. HARTBARGER -- Billy Gene Hartbarger, 67, a life long resident of Albuquerque, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died on August 11, 2006. Billy died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. Billy was born on Dec. 4, 1938, in Kansas City, Mo., to William Creed and Dollie (Means) Hartbarger. He grew up in Albuquerque where he graduated from Valley High School in 1956. Billy enjoyed a successful career as a lumber salesman and was the owner of Hartbarger Cabinet Hardware. Billy cherished many long-lasting friendships throughout his life. He enjoyed traveling and visiting his grandchildren. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gerry; his sons, Jerry Hartbarger and wife, Paula, Kevin Hartbarger and wife, Barbra; his daughter, Stefanie Hartbarger with Steve Conrad Jr.; and his loving mother-in-law, Mary Levesque. Billy also is survived by eight grandchildren, Jessica, Kristina, Timothy, Tyler, Alec, Andrew, Tayshia and Tristen; and along with many dear friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Drs. John Bettinger, Jennifer Benson, Neil Kaminsky and Melissa Klein who assisted over the years. The family also thanks Presbyterian Hospice Care for the extraordinary care given to Billy. HUBER -- Mitchell E. Huber, 36, died on Saturday, August 12, 2006, after a short illness. He was born January 29, 1970, in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen in 1988. He moved to Albuquerque in 1990 where he was a co-owner of Route 66 Designs and was employed by Giant Industries at the time of his death. Mitchell is survived by his partner, Howard Velasquez; mother, Patricia Giese; grandmother, Evelyn Hoyt; brother, Mike and wife, Patty, of Redding, CA; sisters, Michelle Magnuson and husband, Todd of Sioux Falls, SD and Mindy Allison and partner, Kristi Yarrow, Melissa Mye and husband, Jon, of Albuquerque, Melanie Jepson and husband, Gordy of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. KISNER -- Mike Kisner February 16, 1965 - August 7, 2006 Mike was a kind and gentle husband and father that always put his family's needs first. Mike had exceptionally high morals and core values that influenced everything he did in life. He had a strong sense of right and wrong and treated everyone in life with respect. He loved his family more than anything else in life. He was dedicated to his job and strived to maintain the highest level of service and reliability possible. He was loved by all he serviced and respected by his coworkers and peers. Mike loved the peace, tranquility, and beauty of the mountains and nature. He loved the beauty and wonder of the universe and the night sky. He was dedicated to being fit and healthy through regular exercise and healthy eating. In the last 5 years he developed a passion for cycling that improved his health even more. Mike touched everyone's life in a positive way and his presence will be missed. Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa; his children, Michael and Alicia; his parents, Edward and Mary Ann; his siblings, Theresa and Ed; and the countless other people he inspired and touched. There will be 2 Memorial Services. The first was held for family and close friends at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Apple Valley Ranch. RIVERA -- Lucia C. Rivera., age 92, beloved mother, grandmother, was taken home by the Lord our Savior, Friday, August 11, 2006. Mrs. Rivera was a resident of Algodones, formerly of Sile, NM. She was a member of the Catholic Church, where she devoted many years as a Catechism Teacher. She will be remembered by many for her homemade bread, cakes, and cooking; and the love she showed everyone. She was involved with the Bernalillo Senior Citizen Center, where she enjoyed quilting, going to the Casino and seeing her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Rivera; infant daughter, Evangeline Rivera; three sisters, Dolores Diaz, Emma Stevens, Beatrice Torres; grandson, Maros Duran. Lucia survived by two sons, Ricardo Rivera and wife, Lillian, Benjamin Rivera Sr. and wife, Margie; three daughters, Delfinia Rivera, Theresa Bustamante, Evangeline (Vangie) Duran and husband Steven; 15 grandchildren, Laura, Annabelle, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Jr., Donald, Ronald, Marlene, Michael, Efren, Danny, Anthony, Angela, Lorenzo, Eperanza, and Santana; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends. Lucia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitations will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. SANCHEZ -- Sally S., 80, a resident of Belen, was called home by the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2006. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Alex G. Sanchez, who passed away on May 3, 2006, her parents, Jose De La Cruz Salaz and Maria Hinia Salaz, and her brother, Doroteo Salaz. Sally is survived by her children, Beatrice (Bea) Sanchez and husband, Bob Reis, Linda Raether and husband, Fred, Danny Sanchez and wife, Tracy Love; her beloved grandsons, Jesse Raether and Ryan Raether; sister, Vina Sanchez; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to a devoted love and commitment for her family, Sally enjoyed spending time with friends who were part of her extended family. She will be missed by all those who loved and knew her. The family wishes to extend gratitude to all members of Vista Care Hospice, especially Sandra Ault and Dorothy McMillen, for the compassionate care given to Sally. SCOTT -- Russell C. Scott, 97, died peacefully from old age on August 12, 2006. A long time resident of Albuquerque, he moved here in 1946 from Memphis, Tennessee, with his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Imogene Jackson Scott; his parents, Aurther and Rose Scott; and two sisters, Marie and Ruth. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Scott Leder and husband, John, of Seattle, WA; son, Robert Collins Scott and wife, Helen, of Dallas, TX; surrogate daughter, Patricia Cazier Renken of Albuquerque and her family; grandchildren, David Leder, Beth Leder Peterson and husband, Brian, Kathleen Scott Alfuth and husband, Eric; and many, many friends. He dearly loved and was dearly loved by his family. Russell was born May 11, 1909, in Moberly, MO, and graduated from high school in Paducah, KY, in 1928. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1933 with a BSCE. He worked first as a County Engineer for the CCC, moved to the National Park Service, and then , finally, the US Army Corps of Engineers, retiring in late 1966. He was one of the first Registered Professional Engineers in New Mexico. Russell was an accomplished outdoorsman: a hunter, fisherman and horseman of note. He greatly appreciated the outdoors and considered it a sanctuary. The family is told he is the last surviving Charter Member of St. John's Methodist Church in Albuquerque. There will be a short public celebration of life at Inez Park, Cutler and Virginia at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Burial will be private. STROTHER -- Michael "Muddbone" Leroy Strother Sr., 57, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at his home. He is survived by son, Michael J. Strother Jr.; his wife, Shawnae and son; brother, Bill "Billy" Strother and wife, Diane; sister, Josephine Randles; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
