Willie B. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell was the only child born to the late Myrtle Wilma Lee Lawfton in Collin County, Texas on May 23, 1923. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was one of the first members of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell was a true Pioneer in the Church of God in Christ in New Mexico. As a songster, she used her Angelic voice to lift up the Word of the Lord. Evangelist Mother Bell served in the Church of God in Christ in New Mexico as State Choir President, State Minister of Music, State Hospitality Worker and District Missionary. She helped several Pastors organize and establish their churches. Evangelist Mother Bell was the First Mass Choir President of Faith Temple, served as the Vice-President of the Mother's Board and an all around Pastor and First Lady helper. She served faithfully until she moved out of state with her family. When she relocated with her family, she continued to fellowship with various churches in the Warner Robins community, as well as her ministry throughout the United States and overseas. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell wore many hats. She was a loving wife, devoted Mother and caring Grandmother. She was a blessing to all who came into her path. She was truly a woman of virtue, and loved the Lord with all her heart. She faithfully prayed until her eternal rest. On Tuesday, August 8, 2006, God sent his angel to call his devoted servant home. Evangelist Mother Willie B. Bell is preceded in death by her husband, the late Reverend Clifford Bell. She leaves to mourn her two loving and devoted children, Phillip Wayne Bell and Pamela Arlene Martinez; one uncle, William Shelby; one niece, Terry Hanford; nephew, Kenneth Newman; daughters-in-law, Shirley Bell, Janet Friday; son-in-law, Angelo Martinez; grandchildren, Eric Bell and wife Grace, Chey Bell, Maurice Martinez, Demond Martinez, Phillip Bell, Jr., Brianna Bell; one great-grandchild, Jazmyn Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Services will be help at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2006 in the sanctuary of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 1000 Broadway Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Samuel Gilmore officiating.
