FENNO -- Esther Sweigart Fenno passed away on Monday, August 16, 2004, at the age of 98. Mrs. Fenno was reared in the Texas Panhandle and lived there until she moved to Albuquerque in 1988 to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Dewitt Tucker. In addition, she is survived by a daughter, Betty Roark of Albuquerque; son, C.E. Fenno and wife, Jo Ann of Pampa, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Jimmy Tucker of Los Lunas, Wyatt Fenno and wife, Thu of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Roark and wife, Lisa of Los Lunas, and Dina Roark Venn and husband, Donald of Albuquerque; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister in Indiana; a brother in Florida; and a very dear friend, Marcie Scott of Los Lunas. Preceding her in death were her husband, Ernest, while they were living in Lefors, TX; her son-in-law, Joe Roark; five sisters; and four brothers. In Albuquerque, Mrs. Fenno was a member of the University Church of Christ, where she attended faithfully so long as health permitted. Services will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., at the University Church of Christ, 1701 Gold Ave. SE, with Jerry Roark officiating. Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, TX, where she will be at rest beside her husband. FRIEDBERG -- Robert (Bob) Allan Friedberg December 28, 1946 - August 8, 2004 Bob Friedberg, 57, died on Sunday, August 8, 2004 in San Pinamar, Canelones, Uruguay. He is survived by his wife, Maria Fernanda Via Migliaro of San Pinamar; his mother, Opal Friedberg of Albuquerque; son, Michael Aaron of Albuquerque; grandsons, Andrew and Marcus; and brothers, Eugene of Wichita, KS and Donald of Albuquerque. A graduate of Sandia High School, Bob graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering while completing the ROTC program. Commissioned into the Navy, he served in the Republic of Vietnam, flying all over Asia utilizing his skills as an Intelligence Officer. Bob received his Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University. Having recently settled in Uruguay, he will be interred at the local cemetery in San Pinamar. Local memorial Services will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church, 8510 Wyoming NE, on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 3:30 p.m.

GALLEGOS -- Elena (Lucero) Gallegos, age 93, beloved sister and aunt, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 15, 2004. Elena was born in Corrales, NM to the late Jesus Maria Lucero and Dulecinea Sanchez; she was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She helped organize the Catholic Daughters Chapter of The Court of Immaculate Conception in Bernalillo, where she served as Grand Regent and Organist. She was a School Teacher for 40 years for the Sandoval County School Systems. Elena gave of her time and talent to the church as the organist since she was 13 years old, up until 1986, in Bernalillo and surrounding areas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Epimenio Gallegos; brothers, Jose, Eloy, and Robert; sisters, Sorida, and Clotilde. Elena is survived by her loving sisters, Erlinda Gutierrez and Sofia Lucero; and a niece, Aline, all of the family home; a sister-in-law, Margaret Lucero. Also surviving are several beloved nieces, nephews; grand-nieces and -nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews. Elena will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Wednesday, August 18, 2004 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Corrales Cemetery. MARTINEZ -- Dilia Martinez, resident of Albuquerque, NM, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 14, 2004. Dilia was born on August 8, 1918 to Carlos and Juanita Manzanares in La Puente, NM. She is survived by her two daughters, Priscilla Hunnel of Albuquerque NM and Loretta Russell of Houston, TX; brother, Carlos Manzanares, Jr.; granddaughter, Lydia Petroff; and two great grandsons, Steven and Danny Petroff, all of Albuquerque. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. MCDONALD -- Beulah Mary Proctor McDonald passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the age of 94. She was born in the village of Roy, territory of New Mexico on February 19, 1910 to James and Alma Reasor Proctor. She is survived by her sons, Clyde Raymond McDonald and wife, Eileen, of Albuquerque and Thomas Franklin McDonald and wife, Patricia, of King of Prussia, PA; grandchildren, Dianna Giles of Silver City, NM, Deborah Cantrell and husband, Artie of Artesia, NM, Daneen Gatlin of Cliff, NM, Clyde (Tuffy) McDonald, Jr. and wife, Darcy of Fullerton, CA, Michael and James McDonald of Albuquerque, Sherry Capone and husband, Rudy of Audubon, PA, Christopher McDonald and wife, Carole of Collegeville, PA, Thomas McDonald and wife, Kimberly of King of Prussia, PA, and Patricia (Tish) McDonald of King of Prussia, PA. Beulah was very proud to have 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving Beulah are her sister, Christine Beeler of Lakeside, AZ; 3 nieces, Julie Baker Rachlis of Northfield, IL, Sharon Feuer of Minneapolis, MN, and Deborah McReynolds of Phoenix, AZ; 2 nephews, Merwin Beeler and Richard Beeler and wife, Karen, of Lakeside, AZ. Her abiding interest was her family to whom she gave great love and encouragement. MLEKUSH -- Tony Mlekush, age 83 and a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Friday August 13, 2004 following an illness. Mr. Mlekush is survived by his wife, Billie Mlekush of Albuquerque; one son, Tom Mlekush and his family of Albuquerque; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Garrison and her husband, John of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Tony was a member of San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church, a veteran of WW II, and a member of the Operating Engineers Local 953. Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday August 17, 2004 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 18, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in San Felipe De Neri Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW, with Msgr. Joe Lucero, celebrant. OBERG -- Alice Louise Oberg, Lieutenant Colonel, USAR, 76, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2004. She was born in Springfield, MA and moved to New Mexico in 1947 where she lived until joining the Army in 1957. Alice was on active duty for 20 years with duty assignments within the U.S. and Korea. As a journalist she spent several years assigned to the Army News Service; her final assignment was Battalion Commander, Academy of Health Sciences, Health Service Command, Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Her military decorations and awards included the NDSM, AFEM, ARCOM (1st OLC), MSM, and AFRMXyrDev. Upon retirement Alice was a real estate broker in San Antonio, TX., for several years and traveled extensively. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Alfred Henry Oberg; and brother, Alfred Henry Oberg, Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Jean Oberg of Albuquerque; 3 nephews, Mike Oberg and wife, Linda of Gallegos, NM, Patrick Oberg and wife, Kathy of Estancia, NM, and Gary Oberg Berkshire of Estancia; and numerous great- and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and long time friend, Pat Pavlis. OTERO -- Louisa P. Otero died Saturday, August 14, 2004 in Albuquerque at the age of 92. She is survived by her children, Mary Baca and husband, Alfred, Trudy Piazza and husband, Al, and Mary Ann Mancha and husband, Juan; brother, Cornelio S. Padilla and wife, Agueda; sisters, Donicia Chavez, Beatrice Contreras, Alice Baca and husband, Levi, Bessie Lascano and husband, Jessie, and Toni Rivera; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Connie Roybal. A Rosary for Mrs. Otero will be recited on Tuesday evening, August 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
