Clingenpeel -- Donald Oscar"Chief Boats" Clingenpeel, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Monday, August 5, 2002. Don has gone to our Lord, after losing the battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie Clingenpeel; children, Cynthia Clingenpeel of Belen, Gail Adams and husband, Richard of Yuba City, CA, Ted Clingenpeel and wife, Fern of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tammie Clingenpeel of Albuquerque, Marc Clingenpeel of Albuquerque, and Shanin Adams of Yuba City, CA; and younger sisters, and; brothers, Arthur Clingenpeel and wife, Elsie of Albuquerque, Leonard Clingenpeel and wife, Nellie of Mapleton, IA, Russel Clingenpeel and his wife, Phyllis of Sioux, NE, Irene McClellan and husband, Ed of Onawa, NE, Leila Shupe and husband, Ernest of Turin, IA; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Joyce Bugg of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Clarence Clingenpeel of Iowa. Don was born on December 21, 1919 in Sioux City, IA. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1960, making Albuquerque his home. During his naval career, Don survived the Pearl Harbor attack while aboard the USS West Virginia on December 7, 1941 receiving the Purple Heart for his injuries. In 1961, he became employed with the US Postal Service in Albuquerque and retired after 17 years of service. Donald will be sorely missed by those who knew him especially for his knowledge and character. Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Bishop Roger Rigby officiating. Ellis -- James E. Ellis, 48, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Jody; son, Andrew, Aaron, Darlene and Patrick Jr.; parents, Roger and Marianne Ellis; sisters, Carol and Susen, all of Albuquerque; brother, John; and nephew, Matthew Ellis of Simi Valley, California; aunt and uncle, Christel and Albert Boss of Wiesbaden, Germany; aunt, Joan Ellis; and cousins, Robert and Debra. Jim had many friends and business associates who will miss him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2002 2:30 p.m. at the Alumni Chapel on UNM campus.

Fisk -- Clifford James Fisk, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Fisk-Mohoric and husband, Mark Mohoric; son, Brian Fisk and wife, Nanette Concotelli-Fisk; all of Albuquerque; brothers, Leonard Fisk and wife, Arlis, of Folsom, CA, Donald Fisk and wife, Irene, and Harry Fisk and wife, Betty, all of Arvada, CO; sister, Irene Oldham and husband, Dave, of Sandy UT; grandson, James Fisk and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viva and sister, Leila Morgan. Mr. Fisk, born in Arvada, CO, was a WWII veteran of the US Navy and retired from Sandia National Laboratory after 35 years of service. Garcia -- David E. (D.E.) Garcia, beloved husband, brother and father died on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at his home surrounded by family. D.E. was 59 years young. He was the son of Connie Garcia and the late Arturo Garcia of Albuquerque. He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn; his cherished daughters, Liane Garcia, Janelle Callahan and husband, Marvin, and Angela Martinez and husband, Peter; his sons, Damian Garcia and wife, Lisa, and Frank Armenta and wife, Renee;�sisters, Margarita Trujillo, Irene Smith and Helen Chavez and husband, John. He is also survived by one brother, Gilbert Garcia and wife, Jill, and was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Garcia. D.E. was loved dearly by his nine precious grandchildren, Derrick, Deanndra, Taneke, Peter, Jr; Hannah, Alexis, Frank Jr., Dominic; and great-grandson Derrick, Jr., D.E. is also survived by his very special Goddaughter, Carla and many other loving relatives. D.E. was born into a Catholic family on June 19, 1943. He attended Albuquerque Public Schools, graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1961. He attended U.N.M. and the University of Albuquerque and joined the Albuquerque Police Department in 1965. D.E. retired from the Albuquerque Police Department after 22 years of service to his community. The last 17 years of his career were spent as a Violent Crimes Detective. D.E. was honored as Police Officer of the Month and Officer of the Quarter eventually leading to his selection as Police Officer of the Year in 1985. D.E. was currently serving as President of the Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) Albuquerque Lodge #1. He was a co-founder of the Chicano Police Officers Association of Albuquerque and instrumental in organizing the Albuquerque Police Officers Association Union. As an avid Harley Davidson rider, he was one of the founders of the Blue Nights of New Mexico, Chapter One.� He was recently sworn in as a member of the Ballut Abyad Shrine. Hansen -- Margaret Hansen, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, August, 7, 2002. She is survived by her son, Ralph Hansen and wife, Sandra of Albuquerque; and four grandpuppies. Kissock -- Margaret F. Kissock, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2002, after a long battle with emphysema. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Carabajal and husband, Ramon; son, Gary Kissock and wife, Pamela; and grandchildren, Stephen and Laura Kissock and Yvonne and Ramon Quezada. She is also survived by her sisters, Madeline Fiore and husband, Mike, Marion Hirschman and husband, Carl; niece, Kristin Kissock and husband, Russ Hatfield; and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kissock was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kissock on October 12, 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by the entire family. Margaret was born in Newton Falls, NY and came to Albuquerque in the early 1950's with her husband who was stationed at Manzano Base. She was employed as an executive secretary at the large USF&G insurance firm. She was a member of the Albuquerque Insurance Women's Club. Prior to her retirement in the late 1980's, Margaret and her husband owned several race horses and enjoyed the horse racing industry immensely, as well as boating at Navajo Lake. After retirement, Margaret donated her time to the New Mexico State Agency on Aging Ombudsman Program overseeing nursing homes. Due to her efforts, patients were treated fairly and facilities were improved. She was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Margaret loved having lunch with her friends, boating, a small amount of gambling, and being with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Montebello on Academy who cared for Margaret so much. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2002, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE and a Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 10, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE. Lovato -- Mike Lovato, 74, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Friday, August 2, 2002. Beloved father is survived by his son, Paul Lovato of Moreno Valley, CA; daughters, Carolyn Perez and husband, Alex of La Palma, CA and Jeanette Garcia and husband, Jerry of San Juan Capistrano, CA; sons, James Lovato of Bernalillo and Phillip Lovato of Albuquerque; daughter, Elizabeth Latten of Albuquerque; beloved grandfather is survived by 14 grandchildren; beloved great-grandfather is survived by 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Benny Gallegos and husband, Joe of Jerseyville, IL, Emelia Thompson of Rio Rancho, Erlinda Montoya and husband, Herman, Molly Gonzales and Priscilla Aragon, all of Albuquerque; brother, Ignacio Lovato and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque; and former spouse, Mary R. Lovato of Los Alamitos, CA. Mr. Lovato was preceded in death by his son, Michael David Lovato; and grandson, Christopher Paul Lovato. He will be greatly missed. Martin -- Gail R. Martin, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980 passed away on Monday, August 5, 2002. Gail was born August 13, 1924 the daughter of William Cyrus and Geraldine Braddock Rice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She had been a Social Worker for the City of Grand Rapids before retiring. Gail served in the US Army during WW II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren S. Martin in 1992; and one brother, William Rice. Gail is survived by her children, Hope Molyneux and husband, Tom, Dana Gerety and husband Richard, and Rick Ross; three grandchildren, Erin Gerety, Danika and Taylor Molyneux; and one brother, John Rice. Martinez -- Petra G. Martinez, 85, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2002. She was born on December 15, 1916 in Seboyeta, NM to the late Roman Gonzalez and Elviria Garcia. She moved to Albuquerque in 1948 and was married to the late Pedro Martinez. Petra worked at the Presbyterian Hospital for 33 years. She is preceded in death by her children, Jaymen Martinez and Rosie Gallegos; brother, Fred Gonzales; and sisters, Margarita Archunde and Elourdes Ramirez. She is survived by her children, Vera Montoya and husband, Tony; sons, Harry (TB) Martinez and wife, Connie and Rudy Martinez and wife, Jennie; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great - great - grandchildren. Petra will be deeply missed by her loving family. Mccarthy -- Thomas Daniel McCarthy, Jr., 63, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1985, passed away unexpectedly from an accident on Sunday, August 4, 2002. Thomas was born March 12, 1939 the son of Thomas Daniel and Margaret Neder McCarthy, Sr. in Hicksville, New York. He was a Project Superintendent with the Bradbury & Stamm Construction Company. Tom was a member of the Hicksville (NY) Volunteer Fire Department, member of the International Association of Contractors, was in the US Marines Reserves, and he was also a balloon pilot and ballooning enthusiast. Tom is survived by his wife, Maureen M. McCarthy of the family home; children, Thomas Daniel McCarthy,III, of Moyock, NC, Donna Carey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Timothy J. McCarthy and wife, Robin of Seattle, WA, Wayne M. McCarthy and wife, Luchilla of Rio Rancho, NM, and Bradley Janes of Rio Rancho, NM; one sister, Kathleen Clark of Ft. Oringdulph -- Ruth Marie Oringdulph, born September 14, 1908 in Benson, NE, passed away July 12, 2002 at the Mission Manor Health Care Center in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lida Major and Morton Pryer Oringdulph; brothers, Fred, George and Frank Oringdulph. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Benson of San Benito, TX; nine nieces and nephews. Ruth served in the Navy during WWII. She was very active with the St. John's Episcopal Cathedral Church. She especially enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and being with her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the St. John's Episcopal Cathedral Church, 318 Silver Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 on Monday, August 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has occurred and private interment will be at St. John's Church. Padilla -- Trinidad E. Padilla, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969 passed away Tuesday evening, August 6, 2002. Mrs. Padilla was born on November 1, 1912 in Cimmeron, New Mexico. She is survived by her loving children, Loretta and Walter Crespin of Albuquerque and her beloved grandchildren, Kyle Crespin and Kimberlee Crespin and fiancée, Jeff Richards. She is survived by her best friend and sister, Rufina Espinosa, sister, Mae Fernandez and husband, Louis, and brother, William Espinosa and wife, Sadie; numerous nephews and nieces, and many friends and neighbors. She is also survived by members of the Crespin Family who have embraced her as one of their own. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Padilla; her parents; sisters, Mary Padilla and Cleotilde Cordova and brothers, Ray Espinosa, Adolph Espinosa, and Franklin Espinosa. She was a longtime member of San Felipe Church and the DAV Auxiliary. Trini loved life and especially the time spent with her family. Ramczyk -- Dorothy Ann Ramczyk died peacefully at her home on August 6, 2002 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of George L. Ramczyk for 56 years and who cared for her in her final illness, with the help of Tammy Teehee and Rosalee Gutierrez. She was the beloved daughter of Louis and Anna Kohner who preceded her in death; beloved sister of Marcella Bougeant; beloved mother of Mary Higgins, Stephen Ramczyk, Margaret Stoliker, Michael Ramczyk, Joan Lane, Daniel Ramczyk, Barbara Ramczyk and Rebecca Markey; beloved mother-in-law, of Bernie Higgins, Patricia Ramczyk, David Stoliker, Kenneth Lane, Kevin Markey and Carol Martin; beloved grandmother of Rachel and Hillary Higgins, Leslie Lamb, Timothy Ramczyk, Kirsten McVeigh, Sarah and Elizabeth Stoliker, Ryan and Hannah Markey; beloved great-grandmother of Taylor Lamb. Dorothy was born in 1925 in Winona, MN. She married George her childhood sweetheart and they moved to New Mexico in 1948 where George worked for the Albuquerque Publishing Co. Dottie and George raised eight children. Dottie was an accomplished pianist and gourmet cook. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity, charitable spirit and her sense of humor. Grandma Dottie's advice to her family on how to navigate through life was,"You have to have a sense of humor." A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Private Inurement at a later date will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Robles -- Juanita D. Robles, 90, a long-time Albuquerque resident, died Tuesday, August 06, 2002. She is survived by a son, Lt.Col. Rolando P. Robles of Avondale, AZ; grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth and Robert Robles, all of Redlands, CA. Her husband, Rolando Robles, preceded Mrs. Robles in death. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish. Smith -- Patricia Waterman Smith was born on January 23, 1923 to Oliver Harrison Smith, publisher of the Saturday Review of Literature and Claire Spencer, artist and writer. She grew up in New York City, Maine, California, and New Mexico, dividing her time between her mother and father who divorced. Patricia attended the Art Students League in New York City and became a skilled and talented sculptor. During WWII, she worked for the Army Medical Museum in Washington D.C. In 1954, she returned to New Mexico with her children, Carson, Rebecca, Poppy, and George Ballantine. In 1955, she married Peter Smith and they had one child, Claudia. They settled in Corrales, building an adobe home. Patricia was very active in the art community and was a founding member of the Corrales Art Association, the Camel Gallery, the Visual Arts Council of the Corrales Historical Society, and the Bosque Gallery. She also volunteered with the All Faiths Home and served on the Corrales Parks and Recreation Board. She was a devoted and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind in addition to her children; grandchildren, Shama, Antonio, Jessie, Gabriel, Morgan, Chloe, Alayne, and Marie; and great-granddaughter, Morgana; a stepdaughter, Sara and Sara's children, Aaron and Madeline. She is also mourned by her husband, Pete and her devoted rat terrier, Dodger. Patricia's friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate her life at her home on Sunday, August 11, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. Donations may be made in her honor to the All Faiths Receiving Home in Albuquerque.

Trujillo -- Ernest Frank Trujillo, 48, passed away August 5, 2002 in Albuquerque. Ernest is survived by many loving family members and friends, that loved and will miss him. Vishaway -- Frederick Vishaway, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Vishaway of Tijeras, NM; daughters, Kathleen Heckler of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Deborah Kinsella and husband, Patrick of Albuquerque, Pamela Serban and husband, William of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jacqueline Young of Modesto, CA; son, Michael A. Vishaway of Albuquerque; daughter, Patricia Maes of Lubbock, TX; son, Paul A. Vishaway and wife, Bernadette of Albuquerque; sister, Emylou Evans and husband, Jim of California; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Saturday, August 10, 2002, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Sandy Hall reciting. Graveside services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Deacon Sandy Hall officiating. Waldrop -- Donald Edward Waldrop, 58, of Albuquerque, NM, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002 of pancreatic cancer. He is mourned by his siblings, Julia Alexander and Walter Waldrop; stepson, Derek Phillips; and grandson, Derek Wayne Phillips. They are joined in their grief by a multitude of extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Diane Waldrop in 1993. Mr. Waldrop was born on July 11, 1944, in Breckenridge, TX, where he spent his childhood. After service in the U.S. Navy, he lived most of his life in the Dallas area, with his career taking him at various times to Oklahoma, California, Washington, Michigan, and most recently New Mexico. He was a devout Christian, affiliated with Asbury United Church in Albuquerque. Mr. Waldrop is fondly remembered for his service to Central United Methodist Church of Waco, First United Methodist Church of Rockwall, and for his activities in the Dallas and Central Texas Emmaus Communities. He will be remembered for his generosity, integrity, and devotion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church Waco, with Rev. Ben Disney officiating. Graveside services will take place at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Keith Payne Boone officiating.
