Kissock -- Margaret F. Kissock, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2002, after a long battle with emphysema. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Carabajal and husband, Ramon; son, Gary Kissock and wife, Pamela; and grandchildren, Stephen and Laura Kissock and Yvonne and Ramon Quezada. She is also survived by her sisters, Madeline Fiore and husband, Mike, Marion Hirschman and husband, Carl; niece, Kristin Kissock and husband, Russ Hatfield; and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kissock was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kissock on October 12, 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by the entire family. Margaret was born in Newton Falls, NY and came to Albuquerque in the early 1950's with her husband who was stationed at Manzano Base. She was employed as an executive secretary at the large USF&G insurance firm. She was a member of the Albuquerque Insurance Women's Club. Prior to her retirement in the late 1980's, Margaret and her husband owned several race horses and enjoyed the horse racing industry immensely, as well as boating at Navajo Lake. After retirement, Margaret donated her time to the New Mexico State Agency on Aging Ombudsman Program overseeing nursing homes. Due to her efforts, patients were treated fairly and facilities were improved. She was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Margaret loved having lunch with her friends, boating, a small amount of gambling, and being with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Montebello on Academy who cared for Margaret so much. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2002, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE and a Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 10, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE. Interment of cremains will take place Monday, August 12, 2002, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Kissock, Ramon Quezada, Michael Fiore, Jeff Church, Ramon Carabajal and Gary Kissock. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New Mexico, 216 Truman NE, 87108. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
