Anagnostelis -- James Francis Anagnostelis, 14, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2001, after a sudden but brief battle with Leukemia. He is survived by his parents, Jeri and James Anagnostelis; brother, Peter Anagnostelis, all of Albuquerque; grandparents, June and Jerry Britt of Albuquerque and Gus and Barbara Anagnostelis of The Woodlands, TX; great-grandmother, Helen May of San Rafael, CA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. James was a Freshman at La Cueva High School and for the last several years he ran track and cross-country for the Albuquerque Track Club. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including camping and was an avid snowboarder. James was very tenderhearted and compassionate. His many friends and family will greatly miss him. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Church, 6901 San Antonio NE, with Pastor Dave Bruskas officiating. Barela -- Jose Andres Esquipula (Skip) Barela, born July 1, 1937 to the late Thomas and Rebecca Barela. Went to be with our Lord on September 17, 2001 at the family home in Algodones. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia of 44 years; also his loving children, daughters, Liz and fiancé, Sixto and Margaret Martinez; sons, Michael and fiancé, Mae, David and wife, Valerie, George and wife, Brenda and Albert and wife, Becky; his loving grandchildren, Rosanna and Adrian Armijo, Angelica, Dominique and Danielle Barela, Melissa, Julianna, Valerie, Joseph, Brandy and Ashley Barela; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Stephen, and Destiny; also surviving are his sisters, Genieve and Joe Chavira, Emma and Joe Jaramillo; brother, Robert and Viola Barela; also survived are his brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nephews and nieces and many, many friends. Skip was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather and a good friend who will be missed by us all. He retired from the Soil Conservation Service after serving 28 years. Prior to his retirement, Skip worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and The National Forest Service, he also worked for the Algodones Water Association for 27 Years. He was a great man always willing to give a helping hand, he was always there to help people and he will be greatly missed by us all. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at the Algodones Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Sixto Diaz, Bobby Barela, Danny Jaramillo, Marvin T. Archibeque, Paul C de Baca, and Joe Nieto. Bartow -- Erwin C. (Bud) Bartow, age 85, died Thursday, August 30, 2001 in Port Mansfield, TX. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; and children, Charles Bartow and wife, Margie of Albuquerque, Rita Kirkland and husband, Bob of Hillard, FL, Orivs Bartow and wife, Sheila of Edgewood, NM; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Bud was born in Wisconsin in 1915, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII and he moved to Albuquerque in 1947. He was active in auto racing in the 1950's at Speedway Park as car owner and builder. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during the 1950's and 60's. He retired from International Harvester Trucks in Albuquerque, 1979. He taught diesel mechanics at TVI until 1983 and then retired to Port Mansfield, TX. Cremation has taken place. Graveside Services and Burial will be held on September 21, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Memory Garden, 9500 San Pedro NE Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Blakely -- Judith "Judi" Blakely-Blaney died on September 16, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Cheyenne, WY and graduated from Belen High School and the University of Albuquerque. She served as a nurse during the Vietnam War. Judi was currently employed at Presbyterian Home Care. She was preceded in death by her father, William Blakely; and grandmother, Betty Baker. Judi is survived by her husband, Richard Blaney of Albuquerque; her mother, Betty Blakely of Belen, NM; six children, Gerald Griener of Colorado, Debbie Williams, Rick Blaney, Ronette Olson, Danielle McNut and Dawn Garrett, all of Albuquerque; three sisters, Rosalee Sims and husband, Bill and Alice Wyatt and husband, Ralph, all of Clovis NM and Linda Horne and husband, Doug of Los Lunas, NM; grandfather, Elwood"Woody" Baker of Belen, NM; best friend, Sue Fleming of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous friends and people she touched in her life. Everyone she met was impacted by her kindness and honesty of heart. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2001 at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, with Father David Allen officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood, NM at Mt. Bobbitt -- Wesley Reid Bobbitt, 52, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, who was a passionate and honorable man, died Saturday, September 15, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Weber-Bobbitt; sons, John Wesley Browning and Jerrod Weber Sanchez, all of Albuquerque; mother, Betty Kearse Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA; brothers, Bo Bobbitt of Fayetteville, GA and Tim Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA; nephew, Russell Bobbitt; niece, Melanie Bobbitt, both of Fayetteville, GA; sister-in-law, Bonnie Bobbitt of Fayetteville, GA; office ťkidsť, Chris Below, Krista Perea and Von Anaya, all of Albuquerque; many friends and relatives; and ex-wife, Helen Browning of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, O.B. Bobbitt of Charlottesville, VA. Wesley was born in Charlottesville, VA. He received a Jurist Doctorate from the University of Virginia Law School, and was a prosecutor in Carlsbad, NM and Albuquerque. He practiced privately for the past 18 years. Wes was ever the student and teacher. Mr. Bobbitt was discretely generous as a lawyer and friend. He is the only lifetime member of the Albuquerque Chapter of the Irish American Society. Browne -- Mr. Douglas C. Browne died Sunday, September 16, 2001 in Albuquerque at the age of 70. Mr. Browne was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church. He worked at Sandia Labs and retired after 34-1/2 years of service. Mr. Browne is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Browne. He is survived by his wife, Joan Browne; sons, Mark Browne and Ed Browne; daughter, Laura Browne Hanks; and grandchildren, Mandy Hanks, Travis Hanks, Kali Hanks, and Hayley Browne. Corbett -- Ida Mae Corbett-Gutierrez, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Herrera and husband, Manuel of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Louis Gutierrez and Raymond Gutierrez and wife, Rose, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Corbett-Gutierrez was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and also received her master's degree from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. She retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1973 after many years of service. Driggers -- Andrew S. "Andy" Driggers, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died on September 15, 2001. He was an active member of Risen Savior Catholic Community where he served as head usher. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and was a driver and choir member at Palo Duro Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Stella Sedillo Driggers; and a son, Edward. Mr. Driggers is survived by his wife, Maria Driggers of Albuquerque; nine children, Steve Driggers and wife, Troung and Andrew Driggers and wife, Elaine, all of Albuquerque, Dianne Quaglia and husband, Michael of Niagara Fall, NY, Charlene Puyda and husband, Mickey, Gloria Razo, Joe Galvan and wife, Bertha, Alvaro Galvan and wife, Yolanda and Pilar Trias and husband, Jose, all of California, and Maria Benavidez of Rio Rancho, NM; two sisters, Rose Hernandez and Martha Munoz, both of California; three brothers, Louis Duran and Sipriano Sedillo, both of Albuquerque and Robert Sedillo of California; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Andy is also survived by a host of friends at his church, the Knights of Columbus and Palo Duro Senior Center. Ellingwood -- Renee Theresa Ellingwood, 35, a resident of Belen died unexpectedly Sunday, September 2, 2001. She was born in Glendale, CA on December 20, 1965, daughter of Vincent and Thea (Vulgares) Podrybau. She was active in sports as a young girl and had received numerous community service awards, as well as being on the All Star Softball Team at age eleven. As a teen, she served as a Disaster Response Team Leader for the American Red Cross. She was "Woody the Owl" for the Explorer Scouts and "Smokey the Bear" at local events and county fairs assisting in the prevention of forest fires with the U.S. Forestry Service. She attended college in Newhall, CA, where she was active in track and was Co-Captain of the Cross Country Team. She worked as a surgical scrub technician and emergency medical technician while in college. She enjoyed culinary arts and found time to manage several restaurants. Renee enlisted in the United States Army in July of 1989 as a 43E1P Parachute Rigger and became a member of the 82nd Airborne and Captain of the Army Swim Team. She served in Panama, Desert Shield, the Gulf War and was active in Operation Provide Comfort in Northern Iraq. She was honorably discharged March 12, 1996 and permanently retired on October 27, 1999 due to a combat related injury sustained in the line of duty. She received many decorations including the Bronze Star, Joint Service Meritorious Medal, Southwest Asia Campaign Medal with three bronze stars as well as the Liberation Medal from the Government of Kuwait. She is a life member in the VFW, Military Order of the Cootie (MOC), Honor Degree of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, AMVETS, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, MOC Women's Auxiliary, Special Forces Association, 82nd Airborne Association and Gourd War Shield Society (Native American Veterans Dance Group). She traveled in 46 states and 17 countries. She held many national titles in Veterans Service Organizations such as being named "All-American VFW Post Commander" of VFW Post 401 in Albuquerque. She also served as Supreme Deputy Chief of Staff (National Office Military Order of the Cootie). Her accomplishments are too numerous to mention here. She is survived by her husband, C. Marty Ellingwood of Belen; her father and mother, Vincent and Thea Podrybau of Saugus, CA; her mother-in-law, Norma M. Ellingwood of Shirley, IN; one sister, Yvette Campbell and husband, Myk of Chandler, AZ; one brother, Vincent Podrybau Jr. and wife, Kristen of Chandler, AZ; five nephews; and two dogs, Zakoh and Boeman. After her honorable discharge and retirement from the U.S. Army, "Renee continued to jump out of perfectly good airplanes, ride her motorcycle and dance at Native American Pow Wows. Now, she flies alongside the perfectly good airplanes, rides on the shoulder of her husband as he rides his motorcycle, and has become the spirit we dance with at the Pow Wow." A Memorial Service will be held on September 22, 2001 at 5:15 p.m. at the Indian Village, New Mexico State Fairgrounds.

Franks -- Mary Franks, 90, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Rev. Raymond L. Franks Jr. and wife, Bethal of Albuquerque and Rev. E. Dale Franks of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren, Dale Franks Jr. of San Diego, CA, Rev. Brenton Franks and wife, Ruth of Albuquerque; Michon Henegar and husband, Rev. Mark Henegar of Roswell; great-grandchildren, Dillan and Shalyn Henegar, Tyler and Ashley Franks; and brothers, Leo Grubbs of Las Cruces and Bill Grubbs of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. R.L. Franks; brother, Daniel Grubbs; and two sisters, Esther Ferguson and Effie May Hyman. Mrs. Franks was a pioneer woman minister, traveling with her husband and conducting revivals in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. They also pastored together in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. After retiring, R.L. Franks built churches throughout the Southwest with Mary at his side. Garcia -- Joe A. Garcia, 85, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died September 17, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Augustina; sons, Joe Jr., Victor, and Billy; daughter, Dorothy and son-in-law, Arthur Leerssen. Goldberg -- Reverend Jean Acona Goldberg passed away on Monday, September 10, 2001. Born September 21, 1911 in Rochester, NY, Rev. Goldberg was 89 years of age. She attended Wellesley College. In 1949, she moved to Albuquerque. She held jobs with the Eastman School of Music, Sandia Corporation, NM Department of Public Welfare, BCMC, and the Albuquerque Manor. Rev. Goldberg was active with the St. Mark's on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church for over 35 years. She was the first woman elected to the Standing Committee Diocese of the Rio Grande. In 1981, she became an ordained Episcopal Deacon and an ordained Episcopal Priest. She was on the Board of St. Martin's Hospitality House and the Hospice of the Rio Grande as an Advisor to the college chapter of SAI, Treasurer of the Youth Concerts of NM, and Board Member of the NM Symphony. Rev. Goldberg devoted her life to serving the community with love and compassion. She was beloved by many. Through her work, she exemplified unconditional love, understanding and humanity. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Preceding her in death are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Flinn Ancona; husband, Henry Goldberg; and grandniece, Nadine Cummings. Rev. Goldberg leaves behind her sister, Helen and brother-in-law, Irving Bergeson of Sun City, AZ; her niece, Maida and husband, Dr. John Cummings of Newberg, OR; cousins, Sally and Bob Blair of Taos, NM; and numerous relaitives and friends. Graves -- Lula Mae Graves, age 76, passed away Friday evening in a local hospital. She was born October 3 in Cuba, New Mexico to the late Joel W. and Esther Lois (Garrison) Hale. She is survived by one son, Kenneth W. Graves of Bernalillo, New Mexico; one sister, Mary Pohl of Albuquerque; one brother, Marion Hale of Alamosa, Colorado; one grandson, Kenneth W. Graves Jr. of Portland, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Ana Lisa Graves, John Ross Graves and Ashley Marie Graves. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairview Park Cemetery. Rev. Linda Dyer will officiate. Hagee -- Dale S. Hagee, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Karen King and husband, James of Albuquerque; sons, Alvin Hagee and wife, Trudy of Hesperia, CA, Richard Hagee and wife, Vickie of Albuquerque and Bradford Hagee and wife, Barbara of Upland, CA; 17 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, R.L. Hagee and wife, Marjeanne of Joplin, MO; sister, Evelyn Lazarus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; and son, Robert. He was raised in Captain, NM and spent time working the ship yards in Long Beach, CA during WWII. He worked for Rust Tractor Company and for the Railroad as a welder and retired in Albuquerque. Halliday -- LCDR John Reed Halliday, USN Ret., born on May 2, 1917 and only son to John Leo and Laprele Snow Halliday, passed on to his Maker on September 16, 2001. He became interested in ham radio when he was 16 and did early experimentation with solar energy and ham radios. As a well known ham operator, he often talked with other famous hams, including Barry Goldwater. He also had an artistic streak and designed posters and aisle displays for department stores in Provo, UT. John graduated from Brigham Young University where he was an accomplished athlete in baseball and tennis. Given an officer's commission by Admiral Nimitz himself, John was a Navy communications officer in the Pacific during World War II and fought in the Battle of Midway Island. He retired as a Lt. Commander. During the 1950's and 60's he was an electronics engineer at Sandia Labs and in the 1970's taught electronics engineering at TVI. He had lived in Albuquerque for 52 years and was known by all for his warm smile, outgoing personality and his ability on the ballroom dance floor. He was preceded in death in February 1999 by his wife of 56 years, Ora Ann, who he had married in the Salt Lake Temple, UT. He is survived by his two sons, John Robert and Lee Patten Halliday; and his daughter, Jean Annette Tindell. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2001 at Church of Jesus Christ of LDS Haines Street Ward, 5709 Haines Street, with Bishop Martin McNeal officiating. Le -- Jeannie Le, 31, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Thanh M. Le; mother, Kay Swanson, both of Los Lunas; and brother, Scott Swanson and wife, Jennifer of Albuquerque. Jeannie enjoyed her job as a technical assistant at Citibank where she had many friends. She loved spending time with her niece Jasmine, and was going to teach her English. She enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially swimming and having a picnic. Jeannie loved country and western dancing, bowling; watching figure skating and she supported the Dallas Cowboys. Marsh -- Fran Marsh. Visitation for Fran Marsh, 63, of Angus will be Thursday, September 20, 2001 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and then on Saturday, September 22, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. Graveside Services will be Saturday, September 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Angus Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Hail officiating. Fran died Monday, September 17, 2001 in Socorro. She was born June 7, 1938 at Clarkston, West Virginia. She moved to Lincoln County in November of 1991 from Albuquerque. She was the gift shop manager at the Bonita Campground. She was a member of the Angus Nazarene Church. She married Claude Marsh on June 20, 1958 at Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her husband, Claude of Angus; two sons, Paul Marsh and his wife, Marilyn of Albuquerque and Danny Marsh and his wife, Lori of Rio Rancho; a daughter, Ginger McBride and her husband, Steve of Angus; her mother, Virginia Wilcox of Roswell. Also two brothers, Bob Wilcox of Mesa, AZ and Tom Wilcox of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren, Jessica Marsh, David Baca, Felicia Baca, Brayden Marsh and Aubrey Marsh. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.

Martinez -- Esequiel (Zeke) Martinez, a resident of Las Vegas, NM for the last 20 years and formerly of Wagon Mound, NM. A loving husband and father, passed away Wednesday after a short illness at Northeastern Regional Hospital in the company of family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his job working with the mentally ill individuals. He also enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. He was known to be a very friendly individual and was not a judgemental person. He was a private in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Rosary and Mass were held in Las Vegas. Interment was held at 3:00 p.m. September 18, 2001 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. The family wishes to thank everyone, especially the VFW and Ernest"Chester" Martinez and friends for conducting the Rosary.

Reeves -- Ruth B. Reeves, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1997, died Saturday, September 14, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Murleen J. Reeves of Albuquerque; brothers, Robert Cleveland of South Dakota, Chester Gordon and Dale Gordon, both of Denver, Colorado. Ruth was a lady clown for 18 years, and went by the name of C.O., which stood for Commanding Officer. Romero -- Bertha Farragut Romero, born in Tucson, and a resident of Albuquerque for 54 years, joined our Lord Tuesday, September 18, 2001. She is survived by her loving Husband, Carlos A. Romero; her son, and daughter-in-law, Charlie A. and Tina Romero of Albuquerque; her sister and brother-in-law, Lily and Albert Felix of Tucson; her grandchildren, Douglas and Jessica Gibson, their families; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in her death by brothers, Adolph and William. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. A Rosary will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish, Friday, September 21, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. The Reception will follow at Charlie Romero's Home. Fitzgerald and Sons Funeral Directors are in charge of funeral arrangements. Her burial will take place in Tucson, Arizona.

Rosecrans -- William T. Rosecrans, 72, died Sunday, September 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. Rosecrans; daughters, Marcia L. Custer and husband, John Garber of Salt Lake City, UT, Janice D. Kellogg of TN, and Diana L. Custer of Cocoa, FL; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Hoegger and husband, Jerome E. of Edmond, OK; sister-in-law, Millie Armstrong and husband, Warren of Albuquerque, NM; and many nieces and nephews in the Albuquerque area and Edmond, OK. Mr. Rosecrans was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Manzano Ward. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Services will be held Friday, September 21, 2001, 12 o'clock noon, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Manzano Ward, 12701 Indian School Rd. NE with Bishop Al Alvidrez officiating. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery in Rio Rancho, NM. Pallbearers will be Dustyn Ladewig, Jonathan Custer Burton, Mike Oaks, Shawn Crismore, Don Crismore and Ben Pollchik. Russell -- James Vincent Russell IV, age 70, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years died September 17, 2001 in Albuquerque. James is survived by his wife, Joan of Albuquerque; one daughter, Margaret M. Russell of Albuquerque; two sons, James V. Russell V of Albuquerque, Michael K. Russell and wife, Heather of Oklahoma; four sisters, Virginia Nipper of Albuquerque, Marianne Paulson of CA, Margaret C. Russell of Albuquerque, Elizabeth Lingren of MN; four grandchildren, John J, Michael L, Samantha J, and Shaylene N.; One son, John M. Russell, preceded him in death. James was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, The International Association of Machinists and loved sports. Seitz -- Ella Jane Seitz "Spurgeon", age 77, died peacefully at her home in Albuquerque on September 10, 2001. Ella was born in Gladstone, IL, and moved to Albuquerque with her family in 1946. She is survived by a brother, Melvin Seitz and wife, Anne, of Oquawka, IL; two sisters, Norma Howard and husband, Glen, and Judy Reich, all of Albuquerque; and four nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel Spurgeon; and her stepfather, Lee Spurgeon. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Sandia Memory Gardens. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

Uhland -- Anna D. Uhland, age 92, died on September 15, 2001. She died peacefully in her home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her brother, Albert of Staten Island, NY; sons, William and Paul of Albuquerque; nephew, Jack Browne of Albuquerque; and nieces, Doris Alzueta of Riverside, CA, Patricia Windham of Pasadena, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward. Anna was a long time member of Mountain Bell"Telephone Pioneers" and an auxiliary member of the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd. She was a long time member of St. Bernadette's parish. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2001, at St. Bernadette Chapel at 3:00 p.m., Msgr. James Comiskey officiating. the Chapel is located in the Multi-purpose building, 11401 Indian School NE.

West -- 1932-2001. Barry J. West, 69, passed away at his home in Los Chavez on September 17, 2001, after a lengthy illness. He was born in his family's home North of Exira, Iowa to Doris Freeman McClusky on July 3, 1932. He was then adopted and raised by Ernest and Olive West. He attended the rural school North of Exira and graduated from Exira High School with the class of 1951. Barry then farmed on the family's farm until he joined the U.S. Air Force in January of 1953. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Parks Air Force Base, California in 1953. He served four years in the Air Force, three-and-a-half of which he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, and received an honorable discharge in January of 1957. He returned to live in Exira and worked as a mechanic for Minerman Ford Motor Co. until June of 1964 at which time he moved to Los Lunas and was employed as a mechanic for Hadley Auto Transport for 14 years. He drove a Hadley Auto Transport truck until October of 1988 at which time he had to retire due to medical reasons. On August 21, 1953 he married Alberta Rattenborg at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque. To this union, six children were born. Barry was preceded in death by his parents; his mother; his son, Neal West; brother, Mike McClusky; his father and mother-in-law, Otto and Mildred Rattenborg; a brother-in-law, Robert Rattenborg; and one nephew, Richard Schaeuble. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alberta (Bert) of Los Chavez; three sons, James of Baton Rouge, LA, Barry Lee of the family home, Brock of Los Lunas; two daughters, Juanita and husband, Glen Bowman, and Barbie and husband, Anthony De La Cruz all of Los Chavez; his grandchildren, Danielle, Brandy, Amber, Danny, Cassie, Amanda, Joe Don, Roslyn and Derrick; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruby and husband, Gordon Stiers of La Vista, NE; his sisters-in-law, Delores and husband, Ray Schaeuble, and Beverly and husband, Joe Schaeuble all of Carroll, Iowa, Jean and husband, Tom Fancher of Belen, and Wanda and husband, Dave Wolf of Exira, Iowa; and one brother-in-law, Rodney Rattenborg and wife, Vickie of Carroll, Iowa; a very special person, Paul Jones of Baton Rouge, LA, who was like a son; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez and will be officiated by Pastor Boyd Morerod and Pastor Charles W. Carlson of the Valley Lutheran Church of Los Lunas. Burial will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Home in Belen.
