Armijo -- Patrocinio Armijo, 77, a resident of Socorro for the past 40 years, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2001 in Socorro, NM. He was born October 22, 1923 to Fidel and Pablita Martinez Armijo in Quemado, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank, Espedion, Dolores, Jesus and Fidelito, sisters, Mary Jane Armijo, Juanita Cordova, Candelaria Foulenfont and Patrocinia Armijo. He is survived by his sister, Refugia,"Cuca" Foulenfont of Prescott, AZ; 32 nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and nieces. Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 16, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Quemado, NM with Father Robert Mathieu as Celebrant. Baca -- Frank Baca, 91, a resident of La Costancia, NM, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Albuquerque while surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed playing poker at the Belen Senior Citizens. In the 1940's, Frank received his Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of New Mexico. He taught school for over 42 years in the Valencia County Schools System and for many years was principal at the East Side School on River Road in Belen. Frank wore many different hats in his younger days as he was also a devoted rancher and farmer and served as Secretary Treasurer of the Tome Land Grant Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doroteo and Ramonsita Baca; and his six brothers, Juan, Manuel, Luis, Crestino, Jose Maria, and Antonio Baca. Frank is survived by his five children, Mary Sanchez of Albuquerque, Angela Capshaw of Laguna Hills, CA, Albert and wife, Darlene of La Mirada, CA, Frank and wife, Josephine of Fallbrook, CA; and Louis and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Odelio Baca of Adelino; and two sisters, Tillie Baca and Chona Torres, both of Tome, NM. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. this Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2001 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with Father Tom Greaney officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Baca -- Mario Victor Baca born on September 22, 1999, died on April 9, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Baca; his father, Victor Baca; his sister, Victoria Baca; his maternal grandparents, Gloria Carrillo, Ben Megah and his wife, Laura; his paternal grandparents, Deborah and Victor Baca; and numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends many of whom were there when he went into Jesus' arms. He was greatly loved and will always be in our hearts. The Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Monday, April 16, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 3674 Hwy 47, Peralta, NM. Boudreau -- Ted Boudreau, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene Boudreau of the family home; son, John Boudreau of Albuquerque; brother, Vincent Boudreau and wife, Diane of Las Cruces; sister, Lorena Ledford and husband, Ed of Carlsbad; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted served in the US Navy on the submarine USS Barbero during World War II. He retired from Southern Union Gas Co. after 20 years of service. He received many sales awards while working there. He was a 50 year member of the Albuquerque Trap Club, a life member of the American Trap Shooting Association, and a member of the Hall of Fame with the ATC, and was a member of the Holy Ghost Parish. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Ubaldo Chavez reciting. Dossey -- Joy Ann Dossey, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Thursday, April 12, 2001. She is survived by her son, Howard W. Dossey and wife, Yvonne; granddaughter, Tricia Dossey, both of Peralta; brothers, David, Travis and Robert Keeney of Albuquerque and Alvin Keeney of Belen; sisters, Mary Smith of CA and Katie Rockwell of OH. Joy Ann was preceded in death by her parents, R.D. and Lucille Keeney; and husband, Howard A. Dossey. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and a more recent member of Riverside Baptist Church. Joy was a dedicated Lobo fan and supporter of UNM athletics. Duran -- Priscilla Duran, passed away on April 10, 2001 after a long illness. A Rosary will be held at Gabaldon Mortuary Friday at 7:00 p.m. The Services will be at Mt. Calvary on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. She was a teacher, mother, sister, daughter, auntie, grandma, and a friend. We will dearly miss her smile and ways. She is survived by family, Antonio, Gloria, and Natilie Duran; Ronald and Yvonne Gallegos; Linda and Dennis Gallegos, Arthur and Francis Gallegos and family; Sidney and Anna Gallegos, and countless other relatives and friends who loved her. Fisher -- Georgine Cofield Fisher was born in Madison, Indiana. She graduated from Butler University, and taught school in Madison before her marriage. She was married for 61 years to Theo O. Fisher, a Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), Minister and shared his long ministry in Indiana. They later moved to Albuquerque where they had a ten year ministry at Monte Vista Christian Church. They retired in 1977 and stayed in Albuquerque. Georgine Fisher was the daughter of George and Marian Cofield of Madison, Indiana. She had two brothers, Sidney Cofield, (deceased), and Hilbert Cofield. There are five children, Karen L. Fisher of Albuquerque, Ted Fisher of Los Angeles, CA, Deborah D. Garrison of Albuquerque, Kristin Fisher, (infant deceased), and Lisa S. Giombolini of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at Monte Vista Christian Church, (3501 Campus Blvd.) on Saturday, April 14, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, 1605 Carlisle, Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Frias -- Lucy A. Frias, age 63, passed away Wednesday morning, April 11, 2001 in a local hospital. She was born February 21, 1938 in Phoenix to the late Gustazo and Manula (Lopez) Angulo. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Andy A. Frias of Albuquerque; one son, Donald A. Frias and his wife, Shirlee of Rio Rancho, NM; two daughters, Debbie Meyer and her husband, Todd, Edgewood, NM, Lori Griffin and her husband, Michael of Albuquerque; two sisters, Susan Angulo of Phoenix, Pat Angulo of Phoenix; one brother-in-law, Pete Cordova of Phoenix; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Meyer, Andrew Meyer, Lisa Frias, Zacharie Frias, Michael Griffin, Alexis Frias, and Edward Griffin. She was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Frias. She was a member of the Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church. She was an owner and director of A Childs Play Ground here in Albuquerque for over ten years. She was a mother to many children in her day care center. Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Home. Friedman -- Irving Leonard Friedman, 79, loving and much-loved husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle, was born to Philip and Jennie Friedman in Syracuse, NY on Feb. 3, 1922. He is survived by his wife, Edith; brother, Jerald Friedman and wife, Maxine; son, Richard Friedman and wife, Shari; daughter, Dr. Barbara Friedman, daughter, Nancy Dorson and husband, Bob of Tucson; and grandchildren, Michelle and Amy Dorson of Tucson and Philip, Nathan and Sarah Friedman of Albuquerque. Irving graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1939 and from UNM with a degree in accounting before serving as a pilot in the air transport command of the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII. He was president of Phillip's Mercantile Company and Value House in Albuquerque, and also served as president of Congregation B'Nai Israel. The Friedman family is one of the founding families of B'Nai Israel. He was a member of the Mason Temple Lodge #6 and the Ballut Abayad Shrine. He was an avid golfer and bridge player. He enjoyed running and walking around Altura park with his running buddies and was proud of the fact that he came in first in his age group in the 1983 Duke City Marathon. Services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Congregation B'Nai Israel, 4401 Indian School Road NE, with Rabbi Isaac H. Celnik officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Memorial services will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at the family home, 1025 Jefferson NE. Garcia -- Thomas Fred Garcia, born in Clayton, NM on November 18, 1935 to Rafael and Eva (Elkins) Garcia, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2001. Horner -- Guy Matthew Horner, 42, a recent resident of Estancia, formally a longtime resident of the Houston, TX area passed away Saturday, April 7, 2001. He was born May 29, 1958. He is survived by his mother, Mary Alice Drolte of El Paso, TX; his brothers, Mark S. Horner of El Paso, TX, Lance Horner and his wife, Carolyn of Dallas, TX; his sister, Valerie Arevalo and her husband, Robert H. Maxwell of Estancia, NM. Guy was a member of the Texas A&M Alumni Association in Texas and was a member of the Webster Presbyterian Church in Friendswood, TX. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Reynolds -- Geneva Mitchell Reynolds, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968 was born April 29, 1925 in Childress, Texas. She died peacefully at home on March 27, 2001. Words cannot describe what a loving and caring person Geneva was. She always looked ahead and only embraced a positive outlook on life. Geneva's two dreams were fulfilled with trips to both Hawaii and Alaska in the last few years. Additionally, she kept very busy with her computer classes and activities with the Commission for the Blind and always enjoyed her line dancing. Geneva is survived by her son, Mitchell Reynolds, his wife, Kathy of Albuquerque; her daughter, Claudia Bates, her husband, Ron and grandchildren, Hillary and Justin of Booneville, Arkansas. Rogers -- Don Lawrence Rogers, 40, a resident of Albuquerque died Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Don was born in Roseville, CA on June 20, 1960 and died at home. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Lee Dyer Rogers; three brothers, Dr. Ken Rogers & wife, Polly, Pat Rogers and wife, Julie, and Steve Rogers and wife, Ann; and his sister, Laura Kelmar and husband, Dan. Don is also survived by a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles whom he dearly loved. He enjoyed classes at TVI and pursued a number of different jobs over the years. Torrez -- Nellie Torrez, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Mrs. Torrez was long time resident of Albuquerque formerly of Grants, NM; she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; a member of Nueva Vida Prayer Group, Cursillo Movement, Carmelitas, Guadalupanos, and a eucharististic Lay Minster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Torrez, Sr, parents, Jimmy and Concha Olveda, father, and mother-in-law, Bonifacio and Kathryn Torrez, son, Luther Torrez, brother, Raymond Olveda, son-in-law, Timmy Rubio, and daughter-in-law, Maria Torrez. She is survived by her loving children, Betty Rubio, Margaret Moya and husband, Harold, Nancy Saiz and husband, Frank, Felix Torrez, Jr. and wife, Odelia, Charles Torrez; 22 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Socorro Gonzales, Theresa Chavez, Mary Romo, and Rachel Benavidez; one brother, Tony Olveda; numerous other relatives; and many special and close friends. She will be deeply missed by all. Visitations will be Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Communion Service will be conducted Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the church.
