Georgine Cofield Fisher was born in Madison, Indiana. She graduated from Butler University, and taught school in Madison before her marriage. She was married for 61 years to Theo O. Fisher, a Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), Minister and shared his long ministry in Indiana. They later moved to Albuquerque where they had a ten year ministry at Monte Vista Christian Church. They retired in 1977 and stayed in Albuquerque. Georgine Fisher was the daughter of George and Marian Cofield of Madison, Indiana. She had two brothers, Sidney Cofield, (deceased), and Hilbert Cofield. There are five children, Karen L. Fisher of Albuquerque, Ted Fisher of Los Angeles, CA, Deborah D. Garrison of Albuquerque, Kristin Fisher, (infant deceased), and Lisa S. Giombolini of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at Monte Vista Christian Church, (3501 Campus Blvd.) on Saturday, April 14, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, 1605 Carlisle, Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
